TRAINEE BACKGROUND [ ♦ ] Gi Hyun was still a student while she was a trainee and that made life a bit hard on her. She struggled to keep her grades up but she was still in the to phalf of her class. She continued to train and be a student until just before her sixteeth birthday. She missed her family and her life back in the states but she knew she wanted to be here.
Gi Hyun's parents called Gi Hyun in the spring. They had made the decision that they were splitting up. Her mom and sister were going to stay in New York and her dad was moving home to live with his mom and Gi Hyun. 
Gi Hyun stopped training over that next summer. It hit her hard but she needed the time to help her family adjust to their new life. She started back up after the school year started. When she got back she felt like she was starting from zero again. 
Gi Hyun threw herself back at her training. She wanted to get back to her previous position before her family drama. Her father spend most of his time at the office and she hated being in an empty home so she spent most of her time away from home. Between school and training she would sit in random little places doing her school work. That actually helped her keep her grades up as well. 
Rumors started floating aorudn that YG was going to do something big but no one knew what he was going to do. Trainees started freaking out and Gi Hyun did her best to stay out of the way. When he announced that he was going to debut a boy group but through a battle things calmed down quickly. Gi Hyun knew that if he was debuting a boy group that he would debut a girl group too. She started working more towards training than school. 
When Gi Hyun graduated from school she spent as much time as possible training. She never wanted to go home so the only place was the YG building. She took as many classes as she could and she ran herself ragged, but she didnt care. She wanted to prove that she had what it took to be an idol. 
Around Gi Hyun's nineteenth  birthday YG announced they were going to debut a girl group to match Winner. Gi Hyun mentally high fived herself and kept going at the pace she was going. If she didnt make this group she didnt know what else she had going for her. This group was all she had. 
Gi Hyun was waiting when they annonuced the group members. When she saw her name she was speachless. She didnt know what do to or say. After a few minutes she called her mom and sister to tell them, but she was surprisingly calm about it.

♦ Gi Hyun is either a very bright, spunky person who talks fast and excitedly, or she is a quiet person who wont talk and do little There is almost no idbetween When she is happy, everyone around her is happy. She is like a virus when she is like that. She can talk to anyone, she is very adaptable and she is always cool headed. When she isnt happy(very few days here and there), she can still talk to anyone but wont want to. When she gets like that she will usualy lock herself in her room for a few days and be good when she comes out. She will try to hide it from the 

♦ Gi Hyun is a bit forgetful sometimes. Its never important things she forgets, like dates or birthdays. Its odd little things. Things like doing the laundry, eating or making sure her shoes are tied. Small things. When its about her she isnt very responsible, but with others she is. When it comes to her group, she is ver responsible, she would do anything for them. 

♦ Gi Hyun loves to be able to play around and have fun. When the other members are happy and ok then she is happy and ok. She gets more than a bit protective about the other mebers. She is always checking up on them, making sure they are alright, that they have rested and eaten before they go to practice. Before they go on stage she will check everyone over to make sure they are ready

BACKGROUND [ ♦ ] Gi Hyun was born last in a family of four. They lived in the poorer part of town but that never bothered their family. Her parents did everything for their two daughters. She always had what ever she needed. 
Gi Hyun and her sister were put into vocal lession with out them needed to ask but that was fine with Gi Hyun. Her parents wanted them to have soemthing they could fall back on, like a saefty net, in case school fell through. It didnt take long for her sister to quit but Gi Hyun really liked it all. She wanted to take more and more lessons. She wanted to take more, but her parents still wanted her to get a good eduation. 
When Gi Hyun was eleven her family packed up and moved to Seoul. Her father got a promotion in their company but they needed to be moved for the job. Gi Hyun was perfectly ok with it. They ended up with a comfortable three bedroom apartment, but Gi Hyun still made her bed in her sisters room every night. Her parents were able to get her into more singing lessons too. She was really happy about that. 
Gi Hyun too an opportunity to go study abroad in Seoul. She lived with her grandmother and even before Gi Hyun had moved in her grandmother set her up for an audition to get into Seoul Performing Arts High School when she was thirteen and they told her that they would be ready for her the next fall. Gi Hyun was elated and couldnt wait for school to start. The first year went so smooth that Gi Hyun just knew that was where she was supposed to be. The next semester she asked to take more rapping lessons and she was granted permission. When her teachers saw that she was taing to it well they wanted to put her into more rap classes. 
When Gi Hyun was fifteen, her and one of her friends auditioned for YG Entertainment at one of the school auditions. They were both accepted and they both started training right away.
