BACKGROUND: When Hyoju was brought to the world, the warm spring welcomed her brightly. Although her family is not well-off, she was raised well by her parents and her older brother in a cheerful neighborhood in Daegu. She didn't went to school, but instead home-schooling because the family can't afford the school tuition. But even so, Hyoju still had friends in her neighborhood, who made her to be always bright and friendly. Ever since she was 3, her parents introduced her to music by always letting her hear their favorite songs. Her parents keep some music intruments in home, regarding how much her mother loves music and how she loves to play them. Hyoju also learned how to play keyboard and piano since 6, taught by her mother, but she considered keyboard more. As she learned, she also grew passionate to music. She would just sit in front of the keyboard after her home-school lessons ended, practicing songs she learned all over and over again.

When she was 8, the family moved to Seoul because Hyoju's father finally got a fixed job there. In Seoul, she also finally got to attend school. She also got herself interested in art, such as photography and literature, In school, making new friends wasn't a problem for her thanks to her out-going personality. She become best friends with Bobby, which real name is Kim Jiwon, but prefered to be called Bobby. Hyoju noticed how Bobby and her share many similarities, from their music preferences, until their personalities. While they laughed at their own inner gags, the others would stared cluelessly at Hyoju and Bobby.  They got along and understand each other well. 

Hyoju joined Return Music Camp at the age 13, along with Bobby who found out about the camp. A year with the camp quickly passed and they also got to meet a lot of new people who share passion for music just like them. After spending an enjoyful year in the camp, bad news came to her. In addition to her family's financial which gradually starts to fall again, she also witnessed her parents who started to constantly fight because of her father who always come home late and always in drunken state, which ended up with a divorce. Hyoju stopped school  and coming to the camp for a while as she stayed with her mother. Not wanting to troubling her only daughter, Hyoju's mother ended up entrusted Hyoju on her aunt, which is her mother's older sister who lives with her husband.

Her uncle and aunt in Seoul, the only relatives she has left, took her and raised her. She began coming to school again, and suddenly, the rumors of her family background went around, but even so, she stayed strong and smiled the cynic looks from the others away. Bobby didn't know what was happening to Hyoju, so he stayed bright as usual to the girl. Hyoju stayed cheerful as usual despite the tragedies she went through and didn't tell anyone in order not to be pitied. Hyoju also started to join the camp again, this time with a strong will to achieve her dream to pursue music, with the thought of her mother.

People often define Hyoju as the vibrant girl who spreads happy virus everywhere. She loves making friends, also laughs and smiles easily. You can count on her to rub off some energy if you are feeling down, and she would be pleased to do so. She's talkative and would keep the atmosphere bright because she doesn't like awkwardness. She's loyal and considerate. She always got her friend's backs, taking care of them and there to be the shoulder. She would do anything for them, as long as they are happy. Hyoju really loves happiness, that's why she tends to be bright. She is also immature and noisy, like making fuss over little things and throws a fit when a food falls to the ground. She is also clueless and reluctant, just can't react depending on the situations and hesitates very much. This side of her might be frustating and annoying to some people, but it became funny after a while. (looking at how blank Hyoju's face is when hesitating) She relieves her stress with listening to music, playing keyboard, and writing. (and eating too)

But just like the popular phrase "Don't judge a book by its cover", Hyoju, behind this strong, cheerful girl, hiding a little girl crying in the rain. She begs for her family to be united, which is just impossible. She wants to meet her mother again. To see her, to talk to her and to hug her. She just keep her problems to herself, because she afraid people will feel bad on her and she doesn't want that to happen. She always says to herself, "I'm not forcing happiness, I just don't want the sadness win." She wants to make everybody happy, while she cries in the rain.

YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO YOUR PARTNER: They are very close. They are like the two kids who are known to joke a lot and childish. They understand each other very well. (Except Hyoju's parents divorce) They tell each other's secrets and got each other's back.

But somehow, Bobby get to know Hyoju's parents divorce through Hyoju's uncle and aunt. After knowing it, Bobby also stayed quiet about it and never brought up the topic. Every time someone talk about family, Bobby would change the topic so Hyoju won't get hurt. Slowly, he became a protecting figure for Hyoju. And Hyoju, who is aware of the slight change, also slowly, falls for Bobby.
