background ; Sooyoung grew up in the district of Gangnam; always having whatever she wanted whenever she wanted - even if her parents weren't able to afford it. She's always been a princess in her father's eyes, and always will be - so he made sure all the time his daughet was happy while she was growing up. His father's job is unstable - always has been; one thay they are at the top of the world and the other one it seems like it is on their shoulders, that being the main reason Sooyoung doesn't like to brag about her status; because she doesn't have one, and her father taught her that money is not something to be proud of, but what you do in life with it. Sooyoung was raised in a big house, and sometimes it got lonely (it still does) even if she had 2 older siblings and a ton of persons working in there. Her mother's warm, caring way to be made up for it, though.

Sooyoung never went through a rebel phase; always studying and going out with friends in the healthiest possible ways. She was popular back in high school, but she never cared about it, and focused on her grades and best friends instead, who keep being her friends until now.

It's not until she's ready to enter university that trouble happens between her and her family: Sooyoung absolutely loved photography, she took her camera everywhere and really wanted to make a living off it, but her two successful siblings pressured her involuntarily to study something that wouldn't leave her without money, and her mother, who usually talked with proudness on her voice about them wasn't helping either. Sooyoung struggled to tell her parents about her dreams, and even went as far as claiming she wanted to do business like her siblings. When she got the nerve to confess her real wishes to her parents, obviously they opposed to the idea, but decided to let her be, since they prefered her to be happy. 

And thank God they did, not only because Sooyoung was in pure bliss, but because Photography was ten times cheaper than any other career her parents wanted her to study, making them able to pay it even in the crisis they're going through.

At the moment Sooyoung is studying, taking her camera to every place she goes and secretly helping her parents out with the money she gets in the coffee shop she works in - it's not a lot of money, but it's something, and she knows that's better than nothing.

likes ;   

— Hip hop culture; from the clothing, to the music and the philosophy behind it, Sooyoung absolutely loves hip hop without culture appropiating it. She respects it so much, it's not even a joke.

— Dancing; she may not be the best, but she's improving at it thanks to Daehyun!

— Coffee; Sooyoung knows drinking coffee is the unhealthiest thing she does, but she can't live without at least one cup of coffee a day.

— Anime; she's such an anime trash! No one knows this though, it's one of her guilty pleasures not even Daehyun knows of (he does know, but he thinks it's hilarious she thinks he doesn't)

— Photography; she's mastering in Photography for a reason, right? She absolutely loves it. Sooyoung takes pictures every day, mostly of Daehyun and the sky.

— Snapbacks; Sooyoung has a big collection of snapbacks, really. They're everywhere around her bedroom, but still.

— Social networks; it's really dangerous, honestly. But she loves being on Instagram and Twitter, always checking how B.A.P is doing if she doesn't have the opportunity to ask herself, and what are people talking about.

— Sweets; what can she say? she's hyper and she needs the energy!

— Eyeliner; eyeliner is something that Sooyoung needs to feel 100% pretty. She can't live without kohl.

dislikes ;   

— Spicy food; if there's something Sooyoung can't handle it's spicy food - she doesn't like the way it feels on her tongue and she just hates it.

— Chris Brown; people laugh at this, but Sooyoung despises him (although his songs are pretty good...)

— Fanfiction; Sooyoung is really curious, and once she stumbled upon a story in where Daehyun and a girl called Sora were getting it on, to say Sooyoung was embarrassed and angry was an understatement.

— Romantic movies; now this is a lie, Sooyoung watches movies all the time, romantic ones, but she hates how much they make her cry.

— Aegyo; if there's something Sooyoung hates, is when people ask her to do aegyo, because she has none!

— Androids; she's team Apple.

— Sour food; Sooyoung is really picky when it comes to food, and sour is just something she hates on . 

— Fangirls; again, this is a lie, she's just really possesive sometimes.

— Dancing in the studio of the university.

— Sooyoung has two older siblings; one sister and one brother. Both successful and out of their home. Her sister of 31 years, Yujin, is married and expecting a baby, while her annoying 23 year-old brother, Minhyuk is living the  good life in Seoul.

— Sooyoung has another guilty pleasure; EXO. No one knows she has a huge love for their songs - and of course she did not cried when Kris left EXO! Who's Kris, anyway?

— The blond learned the dance of Stress, Come On with her friends as a joke, but they dance it every time they're together and bored.

— Sooyoung cried when that swimming anime ended.

— She absolutely, completely, despises heels. Even when she's wearing dresses she has to wear sneackers or boots because heels aren't just made for her.

friends ; Lee Jinah - 21 - fashion design student - reckless, confident, egocentric - everyone has a friend like Jinah; she makes Sooyoung do things she'd never do in her sane mind, and when they're together they don't do anything but laugh.

personality;  

— Funny; Daehyun sure knows how to make someone laugh. He's always fooling around and saying the first thing that comes to his mind to make people giggle, because he likes the sound of it - he likes the smiles and the eyes that turn into crescents, and most of all, he likes to see people happy. People misunderstand often his intentions, and call him stupid behind his back, but Daehyun is so kind, so caring, that, even if he knows, he doesn't do anything about it and instead, keeps helping people indirectly.

— Kind; As stated before, Daehyun likes helping people out. He's not one to give advice, though - he just lifts the humor acting like a fool and recklessly. This doesn't mean he can't sit down and have a talk with someone that needs it; he's also understanding, but it is not his forte.

— Talented; Not only talking about his voice, which is beautiful. Daehyun writes his own songs and does things a simple idol wouldn't do; Daehyun is not an idol, he's an artist. He can make people feel his pain or his happiness through his music, and he doesn't have to be necessarily singing.

— Oblivious; Innocent is the word. Even though he's also quite erted, he doesn't know  what's going on 90% of the time if someone doesn't clear it out. He doesn't get Sooyoung's curses sometimes, or her sarcasm. This can be annoying at times but also a really cute trait of him.

— Loud; Just like Sooyoung, Daehyun is loud as hell. His tone gets higher when he is excited or angry, or simply when he's talking on the phone with his mom. People consider his tone annoying but since the reason he does it is because he's excited or angry (which is scary to see) they don't say anything and let him be.

— Blunt; Daehyun really doesn't see a problem in speaking out, saying what he think and it's right and correct those who do wrong. This can be misunderstood; just because he thinks that it doesn't mean he's a rude person! In fact, it makes him more genuine, to be honest with himself and the rest.

The way they met in fact, sounds straight out off a romance movie, with Daehyun hiding in the small café Sooyoung works at and spilling hot coffee in her shirt. Sooyoung, being the person she is, yelled almost instantly, gasping and pointing her finger at him, not caring about the signals and expression Daehyun was making under his eyeglasses, Sooyoung keeps yelling, complaining about the inconsiderate person he was and how he was going to pay for her shirt - which by the way, was new. Daehyun only rolls his eyes and covers , making Sooyoung even more furious... and Daehyun just laughs. And then he just removes his hand and his eyeglasses too, shocking Sooyoung in the process. Then Daehyun asks for a favor and escapes through the back door, leaving Sooyoung speechless.

Sooyoung thinks she'll never see Jung Daehyun - the Jung Daehyun again in her life, it was just a terrible coincidence and something to talk about with her best friends - but she's proved wrong as she sees Daehyun enter the coffee - this time he wasn't running or hiding his face, but Sooyoung doesn't have much time to think about it, since the owner of the coffee is pressuring her to attend him. She'd like to think Daehyun is pretentious, selfish - cold, but she can't do anything but feel touched when he claims he's sorry about her shirt and smiles broadly at her. 

Daehyun really proves Sooyoung wrong.

The idol keeps going to the coffee shop for months - and Sooyoung doesn't understand why, since their coffee and pastries weren't the best in Seoul - hell, not even in their area - but she doesn't complain and just attends him.

It isn't until, with the help of friends Sooyoung had never seen before, a flustered Daehyun walks to her and asks for her number. Sooyoung is surprised, but she gives him her number anyway, and soon after that they start seeing each other.
