the basics.
NAME - Park Dayeon
OTHER NAMES - na
NICKNAMES -
- Seoltang/Sugar: What her mother and father call her. An affectionate nickname that is later also used by her love interest. It inspired her stage name.

LANGUAGES - Korean - native
BIRTHPLACE & HOMETOWN - Jeju-do, South Korea (birth to 13), Seoul (13-present)

A look in the mirror.
HEIGHT & WEIGHT - 162 cm, 47 kg
FACE CLAIM - Dong Ha
BACK UP - Lee Da Mi
APPAREANCE - For most of her life, Dayeon has had short hair, never going much past her ears. However, in recent years she's been growing the length out as it makes her look both more feminine and mature. Her name 'darling' stems from her youthful appearance. She's exudes a childlike innocence in her smile and she seems petite and small framed. Many are suprised to see that she actually has a very toned and lean body beneath from years of dance practice. She has a rather nasty scar on her left knee from when she slipped on some improper flooring in a dance studioand neglected to care for it properly leading to scarring. She has also had minor corrective rhinoplasty from when she broke her nose in the same incident that cause her to scrape her leg (she actually crashed into the door frame edge from slipping and was lucky she didn't knock out her teeth).

STYLE - Dayeon loves her oversized shirts, sweaters, and jackets paired with some flattering jeans, skirts, or shorts. She looks 'comfortably chic' in that her clothing looks easy to move in, but they are of expensive labels and brands. Dayeon was raised that when she goes out, she needs to looks good. Thus, she's found a way of incorporating comfort and style at the same time. At the dorm or at home, she still prefers her oversized tops, but is more willing to use generic brands. Dayeon also wears glasses, and when at home wears thick black frames. In public, she has contacts or goes without them. Hats are her friend, and Dayeon has quite a collection. Her make up is on point, looking natural when not in photoshoots or MVs. Dayeon would honestly be considered quite fashionable since she's not afraid to try new patterns and designs.

      the past.
BACKGROUND - Dayeon has lived with her father in Jeju-do most of her young life. While her parents were both heavily in the dance industry, they began to drift apart early on after their marriage. While Eunbok wanted to make it big in the industry, finding work with future idols enjoyable and wonderful, her husband Jinhwan enjoyed working in a private studio; it didn;t have to be idols, he just enjoyed teaching. Eunbok found working in Jeju tiring, and Jinhwan found the mainland even more tiresome. When Dayeon was 4, her parents divorced amicably. As is normal in Korea, Dayeon lived with her father, though she spent many summers and holidays with her mother, and Eunbok would come to Jeju-do whenever she could.

Dayeon has been dancing most of her life. While she wasn't always the most diligent student early in life, she became fairly skilled under her father and mother's tutelage. At the very least, her parents assumed dancing would keep her in shape and teach her confidence. But at 10, their parents discovered she would often sing with the songs she was practicing to. Their child could actually hold a note while moving: impressive for a young girl. It didn't hurt that she was turning out to be a pretty girl as well (even if her nose looked a little too big *dad didn't hold back his opinions...). Eunbok wanted Dayeon to have every opportunity to be everything she could be. Jinhwan politely refused. He didn't want his young, impressionable daughter involved in the idol/hallyu wave world. He felt it was a shallow and hostile world. Eunbok disagreed, and began plotting to find a way for her daughter to break into the scene.

Meanwhile Dayeon...

Dayeon found great joy in performing at an early age. She not only particpated in her father's studio's performances for local theater, she found herself joining theater and choirs during school: in particular, Dayeon was fond of musical theater where she could sing and dance as much as she liked. Her parents enouraged her, and Dayeon found herself working harder and harder as she grew older: eager to please and t perform. However, Dayeon never considered seriously being an idol until after her father's death from pancreatic cancer when she was thriteen. She left Jeju at that time and moved to Seoul with her mother. After a year, Eunbok began to encourage Dayeon to audition for companies. Her daughter had joined the choir and theater right from the start, and even was part of the dance club.

Her new life started, Dayeon found life in Seoul more...hectic than her life back in Jeju-do. She was often teased about her accent and was reprimanded more than once to correct her pronounciation. Eventually, in spite of the teasings, Dayeon became just another face in the crowd of students. While talented, she was not the most talkative person (having grown self concious over her accent), and was unwilling to speak up to make herself known. Despite this, Dayeon continued to improve her skills along with her friend Yumi. She even took up listening to some popular rappers and emulating them in an attempt to make herself more well rounded (in truth, she really just doesn't it for fun). Eventually she would become well known in her theater classes and choir, and some even found her accent cute and endearing. Life was moving smoothly and uneventfully. And Dayeon was content with this. She didn't need the limelight or the attention. But Eunbok wasn't content to see her just fade into the background. With her mother's urging and pressure, Dayeon began training even more diligently until she was accepted into Starship when she was 16.

Again, Dayeon was just another trainee, but what made her standout was her diligence. She took all feedback she was given and improved consistently. She stayed behind to practice extra, made every attempt to get feedback, and eventually became something of an all around talent. Her trainers and teachers took notice. When it came time to consider different trainees for Pheonix, Dayeon's name came up many times, as well as discarded. The reasoning was that Dayeon, though talented, simply did not have the 'star quality' in her personality and presence. But others argued she had skill, and her presence could be developed. Eventually, it was decided she would debut with Phoenix. Eunbok couldn't be happier.

the real me.
PERSONALITY TRAITS -
+ Easy going, Caring, Diligent, Kind, Bright, Polite
= Gentle, Even-tempered
- Meek, Soft-spoken, self-deprecating, cowardly, hesitant, naive, (later, add resentful as time goes by)

PERSONALITY - Dayeon is the epitome of the sweet girl you'd take home to your parents. Polite to a fault and sweet as sugar, no one would ever suspect Dayeon of ever being angry or annoyed at anyone. She's the type of girl who would call you when you're not feeling well, find out your not feeling well, make you soup and muffins, and hand deliver them across town on bicycle because the buses weren't running that day. And despite having to take her entire day to do so, she would greet you with the happiest, most obliging of smiles. That is just how Dayeon is. She makes it a point to care for others as if they were more important than herself. All Dayeon wants in return is a good outcome. You don;t even need to say thank you: just smile and be happy. Having a bad day? Dayeon is happy to do whatever it takes to cheer you up. A ray of sunshine on a cloudy day is what Dayeon aspires to be, even if she herself is not well or feeling happy. Dayeon tries to see the best in everyone, reagrdless of who they are, and comes off as naive. Not everyone is willing to be just as kind as he is, and Dayeon is not a fighter. Groumates, labelmates, and others find that they can walk all over Dayeon without reprecussions. It is way too easy to get your way when debating with Dayeon. She is very much into keeping harmony and peace, especially in the group, so she will concede even if she is in the right.

Fans who pay attention to Dayeon realize she is one of the most ploite, well mannered idols out there. She takes all jokes and pranks in good nature, and rarely becomes angry at anyone. To see Dayeon angry is like seeing the great white whale. She is an absolute delight to be around...But what others don;t see is underneath the happy exterior, Dayeon suffers from very low self esteem. After years of being told she needs to improve, to stop being herslef, to do better and keep doing better, Dayeon has suffered a hit to her image in her mind. If anyone insults her, she willingly accepts it. In her mind, it surely must be true. This wasn't always the case for Dayeon. She was once very secure in who she was: Jeju accent and all. But after years of being told otherwise, it takes a lot to make Dayeon actually fight for herself. She's been called a coward by her groupmates and friends at times. As great as it is to have Dayeon there if you're sad, she is rubbish in a fight or conflict. A pacifist in more than a physical sense, Dayeon avoids conflict. In fact, conflict creates such anxiety in her, that she has to excuse herself.  She
is hesitant to jump into new things as it could mean failure again (see her attempt at being in dramas and acting). Again, this stems from her lack of self worth. While a good friend and happy person, Dayeon has difficulty in seeing her own self worth and recognizing she is fine the way she is. She is far too eager to please others and not herself. But as time progresses, her internalization of these issues change from deprecation to resentment. And Dayeon hates how bitter of a person
she is becoming...another reason to not like herself.

But what Dayeon ha to recognize is that her gentle nature, her easy going attitude aren;t bad things. She just needs to make sure she doesn;t allow her more positive traits be gateways for her negative ones.

TRIVIA.
LIKES

* Bibimbap (Her favorite food)
* Animals (So cute! Even tarantulas!)
* Comic books (A great way to pass time when you just want to relax and get away from the world)
* Fresh Fruit (her favorite snack)
* Fireworks (she has fond memories of being on the beach and setting off some with her parents during happier times)

DISLIKES -
* Arguments (Dayeon goes out of her way to avoid them, and will try to leave the area when one starts that doesn;t involve her)

* Milk (all types. She just doesn't like it)
* Silence (Even when alone, she has some music playing softly)

HOBBIES -
- Traditional Korean and Japanese dancing
- Cooking (she likes to experiment)
-Drawing cartoons/comics (the other members each have a sketch she did of them)
- Acting lessons (it stemmed from her belief she may not be contributing enough to Pheonix musically, so she thinks she may try acting to get their name out there).

TRIVIA / FUN FACTS -
*Since she grew up in Jeju, when not actively thinking about it, she speaks in Jeju dialect or satoori.
*She knows quite a few traditional Korean and Japanese dances.
*Dayeon is almost always the first one to wake up. When she isn't, it means she is beyond exhausted.
*Alcohol makes her turn red and giddy.
*And very honest.

*She loves horror movies, even if they scare her very much.
* She loves cooking, and is happy to cook for the others at any time.
*Her favorite movie is currently Woochi.

* Her ideal type is a generous, forthright man, ideally taller than her.
* She is familiar with Infinite, 2NE1, and Lovelyz due to her connections with their labelmates, but doesn't neccessarily consider them close enough to be friends.
* She is surprisingly flexible.
*Her father taught her traditonal Korean and Japanese dances: he wanted her to appreciate both forms.

FAMILY
Mother
Lee Eunbok  50  Choreographer (Woolim and then for YG)  Over bearing, Mothering, Confident, Stubborn
- Dayeon has always liked her mother. She always wondered why she couldn't inherit her mother's natural confidence and ability to command a room with a mere glance. However, sometimes it's clear Eunbok wants her daughter to be more than she is. While some might interpret this as her trying to control her daughter, it's in fact Eunbok wanting her daughter to find some happiness. And she views Dayeon as being too weak willed to fight for what she wants. And at the same time, she doesn;t want to just hand it to her. She was the one who decided that when it was time for Dayeon to audition, she should try companies other than YG: her mother had connections there, and refused to let that influence her ability to enter the companies. While Dayeon respects and listens to her mother, there sometimes seems to be a lack of affection between them.

Father  Park Jinhwan  Deceased  Dance instructor (private studio) Warm hearted, stubborn, disciplined, reserved
-
When Jinhwan was alive, he and Dayeon were very close. He fostered, along with her mother, Dayeon's love of performing. However, he felt that Dayeon should stick to the classic arts. Along with that, he wanted her to eventually take over his studio. Unlike his wife who encouraged her to be bold, Jinhwan wanted Dayeon to stay home, to meet a nice young man who could help her run the studio. If anything, he formed Dayeon into the girl she is today.

FRIENDS
Best Non-idol Friend
Kim Yumi (FC Lee Chae Eun 21  Woolim Entertainment Trainee  Bubbly, Optimistic, Naive, Vain (later vindictive is added)
-
Dayeon and Yumi's mothers were colleagues in Woolim before she left to join YG. Their daughters became friends and both had aspirations to be idols. While Dayeon went to to Starship, Yumi went to Woolim. Growing up, they were very close and when Dayeon spent time with her mother in summers and other breaks, she was playing with Yumi. They both became trainees at around the same time, though for different companies.

Best Idol Friend  Kim Dasom  22  Idol/SISTAR  Sincere, Kind, Humorous, Secretive, Competetive
- Dasom and Dayeon, the 2Das of Starship as they came to be known around the company, hit it off almost immediately. They are very similar in many aspects, and laugh and enjoy the other's company whenever possible. However, deep down Dayeon is envious of Dasom. Dasom has a certain charisma and star qulity that Dayeon feels she lacks. While musically she's more impressive than Dasom, Dayeon can't seem to set herself apart from her groupmates enough to gain recognition. Dasom is what Dayeon wants to be. Despite this, the 2Das are still very close and act as confidants, though they sometimes try to one up the other (with Dasom usually winning). While some might view them as rivals, in actuallity its friendly competition and they rarely hold bad feelings for the other for long.

Brother Friend
Kim Sunggyu  26  Idol/Infinite  Responsible, Hardworking, A little dense at times, mature
Dayeon met Sunggyu through her mother. He was one of the trainees she would often mother while she worked at Woolim, and Dayeon came to view him as something of a brother figure. He worries over Dayeon since he knows her quiet nature, and especially when the scandals hit since he's afraid she'll break under the pressure.

Sister Friend
Lee Soojung  23  Idol/Lovelyz (Baby Soul)  Shy, Diligent, Active, Simple (in desires and needs)
They met before Dayeon had debuted  and after Soojung officially debuted with her solo. Sunggyu introduced them one evening when they met after one of her training sessions. They were polite and friendly, but nothing more until later after Pheonix's debut, and after Lovelyz had officially debuted. They met, and since both groups were going through scandals (Kyanite's bullying, and Jisoo's alleged issues), they bonded over this fact. Now, they are kindred spirits, and Soojung is a nice, calming presense in Dayeon's life. Much like Sunggyu, Soojung begins to worry about Dayeon's well being as scandals continue to appear.

OTHERS
Favorite Sunbae/Unnie  Sandara Park 30 Idol/2NE1  Outgoing, Optimistic, mischevious, friendly, good natured
- Dayeon met Dara when she was still a trainee, and via her mother. Dara was visiting her mother's home (see the trend here)m and Dayeon was introduced to her. Dara thought Dayeon was simply adorable and told her to be strong and tough, and that she could always call her if she felt down. Dayeon admires her and Dara gives her tips for surviving idol-dom.

RIVAL
Kim Yumi
21  Former Woolim trainee/transferred to YG to work as a model and actress
PERSONALITY -
At one time bright, happy, a little naive, and very vain, Yumi had a lot going for her. However, it was becoming increasingly apparent she lacked actual talent. While very pretty and personable, that only seemed to get her so far. Instead, she watched as her once best friend succeeded where she could not. This has changed Yumi from a very personable, friendly girl to someone bitter and coniving. She is two faced, acting sweet at one moment, and then turning around to stab them in the back.
REASON FOR THE BAD RELATIONSHIP - Jealousy, plain and simple. She can't fathom how Dayeon has succeeded, whereas she could not.
INTERACTIONS - Yumi is very two faced about it. To her face, she is friendly and congenial to Dayeon. Dayeon doesn't think a single bad thing about her. She assumes they're still the closest fo friends, and is nothing but encouraging to her. It's not until Yumi hacks into Dayeon's Social Media accounts that she finally knows her true colors. This further darkens Dayeon's normal persona, and continues to push her to the breaking point: it creates distrust in her. Who else is possibly conspiring against her if one of the people she loves the most is willing to do these things to her? It doesn't help when Yumi begins to make moves against Joohyuk, seeing him more often than Dayeon at times, and making Dayeon even more insecure about her relationship.

me, the idol

POSITION - Lead Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Rapper
TALENT TWIN - Vocals and Dance - Wheein (Mamamoo), Rap - Nana (After School)
TRAINEE YEARS - 3
THE LAST FEW YEARS -
Before their debut, Starship teased about Dayeon as being their all around talent, their sweet darling of the group. Seollie was 'sweet like candy without the guilt'. While this gained her some attention initially, what some of her trainers feared ame to pass: Dayeon wasn't quite ready for the spotlight. All at once, she ws being asked questions, put on the spot to answer questions, and was continually being chastised for using satoori. She was even verbally repreimanded by the CEO to not speak in interviews, even if asked a question, if she could not speak 'properly'. She was instructed to deflect the question to one of the other members (usually Agate, their visual at the time). As such, Dayeon just kind of shut down. She chose not to speak too often until she was confident she could speak without breaking into satoori, and allowed the other members to speak on her behalf. Through Pandora and Pretty Girl, her sweet, gentle image was played up as well as the company making the excuse that 'Seollie is just shy.'

By the time Dayeon had gained a good amount of control over her public speaking, the damage was kind of already done. With the promotions of Step, she still struggled to make herself known. She owuld often speak at interviews and variety, but her portions were often cut from the final production. Even on music programs, camaeras focused on other members, despite if it was Dayeon's turn to sing or dance. Instead of making a scene of these issues, Dayeon quietly accepted that she still needed to improve. As such, she began taking additional acting classes as a means of promoting herself more throughly in the public eye.

While her groupmates seemed to thrive and showcase their talents during early 2013, Dayeon found herself unable to break into the acting world. While she could act reasonably well, the roles often went to better known actresses or idols, or Dayeon appeared to not have the confidence level to ace the auditions. At this time, Starship was also unwilling to try and promote a single for her to showcase her vocal talents. It was beginning to feel as if the company did not want her to succeed or being an individual. Again, instead of protesting this treatment, Dayeon internalized and strove to make herself better.

Finally, just before the announcement of Kyanite, Dayeon found she'd gained some attention: during a performance, one of the other members was nearly hit by a stage prop. Acting quickly, Dayeon pulled her out of harm's way, and this was captured on camera. The video went moderately viral, and hse gained some well deserved attention. It became something of thing amongst her fans, and many of Pheonix's fanbase in general, to find moments of 'Seollie's manner/helpful hands' during performances. Soon fan videos of Dayeon being sweet and polite to even regular crew members, keeping a fan from tripping as they followed Pheonix through the airport, and others surfaced.

But with Kyanite came the scandals. And any goodwill Dayeon had garnered was replaced by rumors of bullying and other issues. She was soon being viewed as the 'worthless member', or the 'waste of lines/space/budget/etc'. Hurt and frustrated, Dayeon tries her hardest to improve, and continues to try and promote group harmony. But slowly, after the initial hurtful comments, Dayeon begins to notice that some observant fans actually stand up for her, and dismiss the idea that she might be part of the bullying. Regardless, Dayeon is pulled into it, for better or worse, and continues ot try and be a peacekeeper, while at the same time trying to promote Pheonix in a positive light...somehow...

SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS - Twitter: @SeollieSeollie93; Instagram: Seollie93
SOLO ACTIVITIES IN THE PAST - Nothing that officially panned out. Auditioned for various dramas, but nothing solid. She was up for being the female lead in VIXX's "Rock Ur Body", but Dasom was used instead.
SOLO ACTIVITIES WISHED FOR THE FUTURE - Roles in dramas and musicals, appearances solo on variety shows when the rest of the group can't make it either because of scandal or injury (a good time for her to shine alone?). It'd be kinda cool if she developed herself enough to go onto King of Mask Singer as a means of redeeming Pheonix,or maybe Immortal Song, though that'd be more for the main vocal I imagine. Maybe in attempt to salvage Pheonix's image, Dayeon can release a solo for a drama OST, or maybe even promote a solo single.

SCANDALS -

- (Future) Park Dayeon spotted on a late night meal with a male idol (true - she was meeting with Sunggyu for a late night dinner).
- (Future) Park Dayeon wants to leave the group (false - one of her SNS accounts was hacked by Yumi and she posted angry/vicious messages about the group and 'her' desire to go solo. While the truth gets out, she is able to gain some attention for this).
-(Future) Park Dayeon want to leave Starship and pursue acting (partially ture: Dayeon doesn't want to leave Starship, but she does want to pursue either musical theater or dramas)
- (Future) Park Dayeon is revealed to be dating Nam Joohyuk (True: though whether or not the companies confirm or deny it, is up to you).

Interview session
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT PHOENIX AND STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT? HOW DO YOU GET ALONG WITH YOUR GROUP MEMBERS, HOW LONG DO YOU THINK WILL THE GROUP LAST, DO YOU CARE ABOUT PHOENIX OR DO YOU WANT TO GO SOLO?
-
Phoenix used to be so wonderful. It was like having all the sisters I never had. Each of us are different, and that's what I love about our group. Even our new members added to the color of our dynamics. It's just that we've drifted so far apart due to jealousy, scandals, and so many other things. I would never want our group to disband...and truth be told, I don't know if I could go solo. I'm nothing without them. As for Starship...sigh, that's a hard question. Can we skip that one? No? Sigh...I'm grateful that Starship took a chance on the 'country bumpkin', and were patient with me as I learned to speak more and hae better stage presense. But lately, it seems like that's all changed. After our initial success, practices became more robotic, less human. It feels like we're just a commodity. And the scandals? That was awful. I don't know who's side they are on: ours or the publics. And yet the hard work is expected to continue...I'm so frustrated!...I'm sorry, I spoke out of turn...

HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH SHEDULES THAT REQUIRE YOU TO WORK FOR MORE THAN 48 HOURS?
- They're hard, no doubt. But what are we supposed to do? Just skip them?...sigh, speaking of that, she skipped the last one again. I hope she really is not feeling well...oh! Not that I hope she's unwell! It's just that I hope she's not just skipping because...well...I'll stop now.

HOW DO YOU THINK ABOUT THE FACT THAT YOU ARE (IN CARNELIAN'S CASE; WILL BE) PART OF KOREA'S MOST HATED GIRL GROUP?
-
It's...and awful thought. I won't admit it to the others, but my less than popular persona has served me well. The tabloids tend to leave me out, and I can walk around without being harassed or surf the internet without seeing my name smeared...It's especially hard since we were on our way to being something great.  I try not to let it bother me. I can't be the one to bring us further down...even if I want to cry sometimes when I read the horrible things people say.

ONLY FOR THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS:
WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON KYANITE?
-
That girl...when we first met, I knew the others resented her a bit. So I wanted to be a friend to her. I can't let my feeling of being overlooked even further affect how I treat her. She deserves to be treated with some respect...but if only she'd dedicate herself more! I try to tell her to consider the rest of the group, but sometimes I don't think she even cares! It's...it's so frustrating! And then she comes around, and the others get angry, and I'm there trying to play peacekeeper and..!...I'm sorry, I spoke out of turn again. I know she's got some talent, and I like her well enough as a person, but it's obvious what she's doing to the group. I sincerely hope it's not intentional...especially since her additon means even less screentime for me.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF CARNELIAN'S ADDITION?
-
...this can't end well. Those were my first thoughts. There was already issues with our first edition; what was the company thinking? Again, she's talented too, and deserving of a chance like anyone else...but with our current state? How can anyone not see that? But...I suppose with how I'm lacking, I shouldn't be complaining...

HOW DO YOU VIEW YOUR OWN SCANDALS?
-
Or lack thereof? Sometimes I think even if I kicked a puppy no one would notice...oh my goodness, not that I ever would! I need a little scandal in my life, I swear...it's difficult being so overlooked.

love me.

NamJoohyuk.

Dating22021994  Actor/Model  Considerate, Outgoing, Active, Humorous   Can appear foolish, Irreverent, careless

PERSONALITY -
Joohyuk is an active, outgoing individual. He often full of laughterm and smiles easily and readily. He loves to be the center of attention, and can get a little annoyed if he's ignored or belittled. However, he is a caring person who is very attuned to those around him, and acts accordingly. He has no qualms with making a fool of himself if it means bringing a smile to someone he cares for's face. A social butterfly, Joohyuk will not shy away from a conversation and will actively seek them out. But along with this comes a care free attitude, and sometimes its hard to take him seriously. But when Joohyuk feels something, he feels it strongly, and will fight for what he wants no matter what others say.

THEIR STORY - Eunbok, Dayeon's mother, was well known for inviting trainees and other workers to her home for a home cooked meal and well deserved time off, even if for one evening. She truly feels bad for these folks, and her motherly insticts kick in whenever she sees them tired or down; part of it was since she was single and without her daughter, she felt the need to mother someone. That's how Joohyuk came to know Lee Eunbok after the merger with YG. He was one of those poor souls Eunbok would mother (especially since she didn't have a son of her own).  She often spoke about her daughter, but never bragged about her being Seollie from Phoenix. Two reasons: she didn't want to intimidate any who came ot visit her, and she didn't want that to be the reason they visited. The most he ever knew was her name was Dayeon, she was in the idol industry (somehow), and she lived with her father for a time, etc.

One night shortly after Kyanite's addition, Dayeon came home to visit her mother and realized she had company. She was hosting a small get together and had forgetten to tell Dayeon. Joohyuk was among the guests. Since the pair were the youngest there, they began to have a conversation. The pair hit it off: Koohyuk adored how cute and sweet Dayeon appeared to be, despite being older than her. In his words, he felt like an 'oppa' instead of her being a noona. After that, he would drop by and chat with Eunbok, asking her about Dayeon from time to time. About six months after meeting, Joohyuk finally asked if he could have Dayeon's phone number, and Eunbok played matchmaker. Another month after, and Dayeon and Joohyuk were in communication with each other. Before the end of 2014, with all of Pheonix's scandals, Dayeon tried to break it off and focus on her group, but Joohyuk persisted, being something of a confidant for her and a confidence boost: someone seemed to genuinely like her. Just before B.B.B. and they made it official, though in secret. Not even her groupmates know she is dating Joohyuk. They have dates usually at her mother;s house, or do face time with their phones or on the computer. Since both are fairly busy, they try to keep in touch. Dayeon is very, VERY worried her reputation and Phoenix's will tarnish Joohyuk's, and she is equally afraid of what his fans would say about their relationship should it become public. So, for now, they keep their dates and affections on the downlow.

But things get complicated once Yumi becomes a model/actor for YG, and sets her sight on Joohyuk. He brushes her off, but it only furthers to create disharmony for Dayeon...and Dayeon can;t take much more scandla, rumors, and hell in her life right now.

INTERACTIONS - Joohyuk compliments Dayeon in many ways. His outgoing personality and willlingess to fight for what he wants is almost polar opposite of Dayeon's. Sometimes this can lead to disagreements, but nothing overly serious. He makes her feel good about being herself, and he in return receives unconditional support from Dayeon. She has no expectation of him exept that he humor her and pick up the phone when she calls (which he almost always does). In some ways, Joohyuk is the single good thing Dayeon has going in her life right now...and she can't bring herself to go public with it since she fears so much what it could do to both of their careers. They keep their dates simple and easy, but Joohyuk sometimes becomes frustrated that he can't introduce Dayeon to his parents yet or take her to fashion shows or awards ceremonies. But Dayeon is less concerned about it. He truly wants Dayeon to fight for herself more, and this is definitely one point of contention between the pair. Sometimes, Joohyuk thinks if someone were to come and just take him, Dayeon wouldn't fight to keep him. This seems to be the case when Yumi begins making a move...and then Dayeon snaps.

                              the end

SCENE REQUESTS -
- Confrontation between Yumi and Dayeon after the hacking is revelaed. She finally snaps and would have throttled Yumi had Joohyuk not happened to be there to stop her.
- Joohyuk gets increasingly jealous of Sunggyu, causing her and him to fight until he storms out of her mother's home. They make up, but not until a week later. The group don't know why she is so upset, and she deflects their questions.
- Horror special for the girls!
- Dayeon finally lets Kyanite know exactly what she's thinking...surprising both herself, and Kyanite. This leads to them developing an understanding, and maybe a friendship.
- Dayeon cooks a meal for everyone, but no one shows up to eat together and each just take a portion themselves and leave to eat on their own. Dayeon is left alone at the table, looking like she might cry, until one of the other members finally sit with her, and they eat and have a heart to heart.
-The subject of her father is brought up (maybe on an interview) and Dayeon fondly talks of him while crying a little.

COMMENTS & QUESTIONS - ...ugh...she seems so boring, especially her history. But I didn't want to make her overly dramatic or sad. >_< I tried to make her the 'clean' one of the group, but while being less scandalous this also means she's less well known and popular. I had an ideaof her being a character that goes into a downward spiral and has to bring herself back up to the happy person she once was, but stronger and more determined for it as the story progresses.
PASSWORD - ...Imma guess..Lee Sungyeol? :D
