She really wasn't interested in the entertainment business at first. All she wanted to do was dance. Didn't matter if it's paid or not. She never even considered the possibility of becoming an idol. But then, her mother introduced her to one of her closest friends, the COO of King Kong Entertainment. As the daughter of an actress, he said that acting should run in her blood as well and therefore asked her to audition. Her mother encouraged her. She was later accepted to King Kong and began her acting career there. She enjoyed acting, but deep inside she knew that dancing comes first. So after two years of traning and lots of screen times, she withdrew from the company.

She was the unplanned child of the family. It's not that she's unwanted, though. Her parents had enough with two children when suddenly her mother was pregnant with her. She grew up in a middle-class family. Her father was a honest lawyer and unfortunately it didn't bring him anywhere. Her mother was a theatre actress who was offered to star in dramas and movies but turned it down because she had a family to be taken care of.
Her parents loved their children, but there was always the special kid. Her father fancied the big boy, Lee Jaejin. Her mother adored her perfect sister, Lee Hyerim.
She found her passion in dancing because of her sister. Hyerim was a dedicated ballerina. She had been invited to many shows and won many competitions. But one day, her sister got hit by a car and lost the ability to walk. She started to dance for her.
She started it with ballet, like her sister. But she decided to widen her dancing knowledge and took other dance classes. She tried zumba, waltz, hip hop, sports dance, but she loved contemporary the most.
