One thing about Jang Chaewon is that she's painfully shy around strangers.She's an introvert by heart and definitely not the kind of person who'd easily bond with strangers. Talking to strangers seem to burden her a lot. She stutters when she's speaking her orders in KFC and heck, she'd rather check googlemaps and get lost rather than having to ask a stranger for directions. Chaewon will only talk to you if you talked to her first or if she feels the need to. Chaewon also blushes easily. She blushes when someone compliments her, she blushes when she does something wrong, her face honestly turns red easily. She may seems boring and even unnoticed because she tends to blend to background, but do know that this is just the outermost, thinnest layer that covers her true self.

A lot of people finds her shyness to be cute, though. The way she tries to speak clearly and without shaking is so endearing that you'd want to tuck her into your pocket and shield her from the world. The way she she flinches in surprise (she gets surprised really easily) is so precious you'd want to make a gif out of it and watch it again and again. When you she'll blush a shade of pink and will laugh sheepishly, stutters and tries to talk at the same time and it's just so funny watching her struggle. She does not try to act cute, but all the things she does, especially when she's embarassed, are effortlessly cute. Chaewon is soft spoken and even the way she speaks is cute too. Someone says that her petiteness and how her reaction is always a few seconds later than others are two things that makes her cute.

Once you unravel the first layer, you'll know that underneath her stutters and blush, Chaewin is a huge teddy bear. Chaewon is literally one of the nicest and most person you'll ever know.She's kind and generous to the point where it's stupid. Chaewon also loves to observe her surroundings and always eager to help (Blushing and smiling shyly as she does so). Helping people is probably one of the things that can overcome her shy self. But honestly, Chaewon is very, very kind. She wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice her happiness so that her loved ones can be happy, after all, your happiness is hers and your pain is hers.

Chaewon's motto is 'spread kindness everywhere'! She's that kid who believes firmly in 'If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all." kind of thing and yeah, everywhere she goes, she tries to spread kindness; and it's not just in her deeds, but also by her words.

"Wait, there's a mustard stain on your jacket, here, let me wipe it."
After you take your time in getting to know Chaewon more, you'll realize that Chaewon is a very, very observant person. She likes to sit back and observe her surroundings and because of this, she becomes a master at reading a person. Just by watching your choice of words, the way you react to certain events, the way you dress up, your body gesture and etc, she's able to guess what kind of person you are; no matter how subtle it is.

Chaewon pays attention to every little details and changes and she always notices the things that people often overlooks; whether if it's your small act of kindness, the stupid stunts you do when you accidentally dropped your phone and tried to caught it before it hit the floor, and how you thought no-one saw that you were picking your nose. And not just person, details! Like the spot you miss when you're vacuuming the dorm and that fingerprint stain on the wall, or a strand of hair in your shirt. Not a single one of them escapes Chaewon's sharp eyes.

//"Anything that gets your blood racing is worth doing."//
Chaewon is a very passionate person, she sees life and her job seriously. Her biggest passion is dancing. When she dances, she literally feel like she's flying, she feels alive and energitic and powerful yet graceful at the same time. She can dance for hours and doesn't even feel tired! (Except once she's already at the dorm).

Singing is her passion too. When she sings, she feel like she can feel everything the song is trying to tell her; sadness, anger, happiness, longing, desperation,everything. And through singing, she feels like she can project that feelings to the audience and make her understand what she's feeling.

That's why, for her passion, she would give her everything. She'd work hard and gives her everything and sometimes, she even overworks herself.

Once you're close enough with her and once she's comfortable enough with you, you'd see a different side of Chaewon that you'd never thought she possess. Chaewon is crazy. You would never guess that this soft-spoken, blushing girl can conjure so many lame and cringe-worthy joke that'll make you wish you never meet her. Chaewon won't also hesitate in doing silly stunts that would totally ruin her image as a girl-group. She would also annoy you to the pits of hell with her puns ("I wasn't trying to be punny you know!"). Honestly, Chaewon is a big dumb dork at heart.

//"No offense, but I personally think you look hideous."'//
Chaewon is very honest, even if she's shy, Chaewon won't afraid to speak her mind (Blushing slightly as she does so). People can't even guess if her honesty is a good trait or bad trait because while it's good to be honest, sometimes Chaewon is just too blatanly honest to the point where it hurts. Of course, Chaewon doesn't mean it but she knows it's better to say the truth rather than telling 'white' lies.

//"This channel is so boring but the remote's on the table, I can't reach it with my foot... I'll just grab it later."//
Chaewon may be cute, she may has a heart like saint, but do know that Chaewon is one of the biggest procrastinator around and also the laziest. Honestly, she doesn't even want to get out of bed unless someone gives her a reason to. She's also at the severe point where she'd rather watch through a very boring channel, waiting for it to end, rather than having to get up and get the remote because she doesn't feel like getting up. Chaewon is also a procrastinator, she likes to ignore things untill the last minute. When people ask her to do something (especially when she's in her very lazy mood) she'll let out her trademark deep sigh (deep, short and full of hate) and her next word is, "In a minute." and end up not doing it anyway. Her laziness is so severe that her room is already filled with the daily necessity she needs so she doesn't have to get out of bed to get stuffs. And her procrastination is so severe that she'd wait until she can't hold her pee anymore before she get her up and darts to the bathroom because she doesn't feel like getting up.

The only thing that can get her motivated is by underestimating her. If it's her turn to cook today and she's too lazy to get up (and not hungry yet), just say, "Bet you can't even cook better than me." and she'll scurry to the kitchen to prove that "Yeah! Jjangchae just made the best dinner you'll ever taste!"

The second way to get her up is by touching her kind side. When the group is tired after practising and the dorm were just so messy but neither of them can move, Chaewon would get up and tidies the dorm. She knows her laziness is severe but she won't let her friends, who are tired and obviously don't need other burden being thrown at their shoulder, suffer.

The only things that can never be affected with her severe laziness is dancing and singing and food; sadly.

//"No, everything's okay."//
Chaewon relies on herself a lot (well, most of the time). She's emotionally independent and she hates showing her weaknesses to others. Apparently, telling her friends her worry and problems are a form of weakness in her eyes so each time she faces problems or if there's something bothering her mind, she would bottle them all up inside her and chooses to deal with it on her own. She doesn't even see the need to tell her friends about it; it's not about trust, it's just her tendency to keep things to herself. Behind her cute smile is a pile of problems and worry, waiting to be sorted out by Chaewon and Chaewon alone.

For her friends, it's very frustrating because, gosh, they are there for her, they're right by her side but each time they tried to reach out to her, she'll shut herself even more. Chaewon always faces her demons alone.

Like I've said before, Chaewon isn't exactly keen on bonding with new people. Yes, she's kind, yes she has shown you her funny side and yes she doesn't pry herself off of you when you hug her. Does that makes you her best friend? Nope. It's like Chaewon is a friend to everyone but a best friend to none. Chaewon is really picky when it comes to choosing her best friends, and even when you're already her best friend, like for example Kate, she won't openly proclaiming her love towards her best friend. Chaewon will be all tsundere and will say, "Well... yeah, kate is my best friend *grumbles* but she's a pain in the sometimes but yeah she's... she's a good friend- ugh can we stop talking about this?"

//"I solemnly swear that I am up to no good."//
Chaewon is a very free person, she repects her rights and personal space (and so does others') and hates it so much when people try to limit them. She may be a shy girl but she's a born troublemaker; especially towards rules she sees as unnecessary (and she's rarely caught; true pro). She's most likely the one who stuffs with an ice cream cake when the group is forced on a diet, she's also the one escapes the dorm after curfew for a night walk. Chaewon does what she wants to do and nobody is going to stop her. That's why she's often the source of the group leader's misery because she's always breaking the rule and causing mayhem.

//"Oh, that girl over there? I don't like her. Why? No reason."//
Like I've said, Chaewon is a very observant girl. Chaewon relies a lot on first impression and if you don't make a good first impression towards her, well she'll remember you as what you were when you first met her (Unless she saw changes in you). That's why she can be judgmental at times; especially towards new people. But when she's given the time to know the person better, she may find things that changes her view towards the person.

BACKGROUND

Chapitre un: Vivant.
1996. Jang Chaewon was born in Lyon, France to the small, Jang household. Her mother said she was born premature, a month early, and a snowstorm was raging during the labour. The next day though, when the family exited the hospital, the snow were the whitest and also prettiest they has ever seen. Chaewon's family consisted of her father, Jang Minguk, an aspiring painter; her mother, Moon Saeyoung, an accountant; her older brother Jang Daehan and her younger sister Jang Haeri.

The Jang couple, despite their jobs, were very passionate about art and music. Minguk can play the guitar while Saeyoung can play the piano. On Sundays, the Jang siblings used to sit together in the living room while watching their parents showing their 'concert' for the kids.

Chapitre deux: Ballet et Musique.
2003. Chaewon learned ballet and was soon attached to it. Chaewon was the object of praise of the teachers and she participated in numerous ballet recital and won a handful of trophy from ballet competitions. She also learned various musical instruments such as piano, then continued by guitar and then violin.

Chapitre trois: Bienvenue à la Corée du Sud.
2008. Her family moved to South Korea, they lived in Hapjeong, Seoul and her mother, after quitting her job in France, opened a coffee shop named The Lab and it's three minutes walk from YG building.

In the span from 2003-2008 Chaewon's passion for dance burned even brighter and she tried other styles of dance, the first she tried was hip hop. When she migrated back to Korea, she joined a dance group in her school, which dance style was hip hop.

Chapitre quatre: Rêves.
2010. Seeing those YG trainees coming in an out of YG building was really... something, to be honest. One day, Chaewon approaced Daehan and casually said she wondered what would it felt like to be a YG trainee. Surprisingly, Daehan said he's been planning to audition in YG for quite awhile. Different from Chaewon, Daehan had learned how to sing since he's young and he's very talented in it. So the two of them braved themself to audition for YG and they were accepted!!

During her trainee time in YG, aside from receiving spotlight because of her dancing skill, Chaewon also learned how to sing and she was, in fact, has talent for it. Being the shy girl she is, Chaewon clung to Daehan more than she'd dare to admit.

But literally, in YG she bloomed and even Hyunsuk praised her skills.

Chapitre cinq: Haut et Bas.
2013. Though she has promising talent and definitely has star-quality, YG thought her color would suit JYP more than YG, so Chaewon was transferred to JYP while Daehan stayed in YG. How was her trainee life in JYP, you ask? Well, I think this is not the right section to talk about it, no? Let's just wait until you've scrolled down to the right section, shall we?

LIKES

→ ( Red ) It's her color. HER color. All of her stuffs has red or the color red on it.
→ ( Chocolate ) She's born to eat chocolate and to die from chocolate.
→ ( Food ) Especially sweet food and junk food. One day she'll die because she ate too much food.
→ ( Fashion ) Chaewon is the kind of girl who'd dress up before going to a convenient store. She WILL NOT step outside her dorm looking like she just came out of a dumpster.
→ ( Baymax ) Her source of happiness.
→ ( Animated movies ) She finds a lot of animated movies have deep meanings like Nemo, BH6, Lion King, Wall-E. So there's a special spot in her heart for animated movies.
→ ( Bookstores and books )  Deep inside, Chaewon is just a nerd, so spending time in bookstores and just rereading novels or finding new books that could entertain her gives Chaewon so much happiness.
→ ( Milk ) Who knows maybe one day calcium would work and she gets taller! She always drinks one every morning
→ ( K-Indie and Acoustic Indie ) Chaewon loves all kinds of songs but the one she likes most is K-Indie and Acoustic Indie. This kind of music gives her peace.
→ ( Flower scent ) Chaewon smells like flowers. It's a fact.
→ ( Movies and Games ) She loves watching movies and playing video games, it's a nice way to kill time.
→ ( Her hair ) Her hair is her crown and Chaewon takes good care of it. VERY good care of it.
→ ( Free time ) Free time is rare, considering her position as one of the lineup for HIGH5, so when she has one, she'll use this for her entertainment; be it sleeping, reading, watching movies or hang out with her frends and family. She dislikes. it when someone interrupts her free time.

DISLIKES

→ ( Spicy food ) Is very weak against it. One time, Chaewon ate spicy ramen for a whole day and woke up with severe diarrhoea the next day.
→ ( Having no time to dress up ) "Five more minutes, I'm begging you, I'm still looking for a skirt that matches my top, please, please!"
→ ( Rain ) Whoever said that rain is romantic is just too much. Rain is troublesome, wet and annoying. She would complain a lot when it starts to rain.
→ ( Disturbance in her sleep ) Don't even think of bothering her when she sleeps or you'll see an angry loch ness.
→ ( Bad/No Internet Connection ) "God, I want to tear my hair out. Why. is. it. so. slow????!!"
→ ( People asking her what's wrong ) She knows you care about her but she would appreciate it very much if you just leave her alone when she's in a wreck.
→ ( I'm not an earlybird ) She hates waking up early in the morning and would be the last and the most difficult to wake.

HABITS

→ Claps her hands like a seal when she laughs.
→ Blushing and smiling sheepishly each time she gets a compliment or embarassed.
→ Becomes very stoic and quiet if angry.
→ Pouting her lips.
→ Chewing on her bottom lips when nervous.
→ Drinks mint tea when she's stressed.

HOBBIES

→ ( Swimming ) She's half mermaid. She loves the water.
→ ( Reading ) She doesn't only read novels, but also that encyclopedia in comic form and other educating books. True nerd. Anyway, she's nuts about Harry Potter, The Maze Rnner, and The Lord of The Rings.
→ ( Dancing ) True passion. She wouldn't mind staying up until three as long as she's dancing.
→ ( Eating ) That mouth of her is constantly chewing.
→ ( Sleeping ) She sleeps anytime, anywhere.

FEARS

→ ( Spiders ) A total chicken when it comes to spider. She'd let out a scream that sounds like a dying whale and runs away each time she sees one, be it big, small, dead or alive.
→ ( Zombies ) Does now and will never watch zombie-themed movies like The Walking Dead. "I mean, what if someday you wake up and find your mother has been zombified and you have nothing to defend yourself? Seeing those corpses wouldn't be as fun, right?"
→ ( Yang Hyunsuk ) That dude has always been scary; literally scarier than devil. When Hyunsuk appears, Chaewon would get chill. He evaluated her for a few times and even though he praised her sometimes, but when he criticize her, she understands why words can give more pain than swords.
→ ( Thunderstorm ) It's not the thunder that scares her. It's how powerful a storm is and how it feels like the buidling would collapse each time the thunder claps and the sound of rain nearly breaking her eardrums.
→ ( Diet ) Just the thought of not getting to eat chocolate of basically all kinds of sweet/junk food really, really, really makes her shudder and gives her so much pain. She hates diet with passion.

TRIVIA

→ ( Ring Ring ) Her phone is iPhone 5S and has Baymax casing. Doesn't want to change to 6 because she likes 5S' shape better.
→ ( Who on earth invented aegyo ) She feels so pressured each time people tell her to do aegyo. But yeah, this is her aegyo. (starts at 0:30)
→ ( Five Stomach ) Chaewon's always hungry. She always wants to eat. She eats six meals a day and a ramen, ice cream, iced tea, a toast and french fries are not enough to keep her full.
→ ( Unintentionally Cute ) This is how she reacts when you too much. Like I've said, effortlessly cute. (starts at 0:07)
→ ( "Hello, I am Baymax." ) Shamelessly collect all BH6 (esp. Baymax's) merchandises. She even has life-sized Baymax plush which she takes care and protects with her whole life. Also owns this thing and always turns it on while she sleeps.
→ ( "On a scale of 1-10." ) Has Baymax pillow and carries it everywhere. Especially if the journey consists travelling by car or travelling a long distance.
→ ( "I shall call him squishy and he shall be my squishy." ) Has a male pug and names him Loui.
→ ( Le virtuoso ) Can play piano, guitar, and violin.

→ ( Don't burn the kitchen! ) Apparently she's not that skilled in cooking. Each time she's trying to cook, accidents always happen, like too much water, too much salt, the kitchen hates her.

→ ( Queen of imitations ) Is the best in imitating people around her. She can imitate YG, JYP, Bambam, Mark, heck she can even imitate Kate imitating Kim Tan's mother or imitate Kate's do you want to build a snowman in granny's voice.
→ ( M-my ideal type ) She likes a guy who takes his time in knowing her. Who loves her for who she is and not just because of her face. Even so, to simplify things, her ideal type is Suho. Good, responsible man is y in her eyes.
→ ( Je vois la vie en rose ) When she's asked to sing French songs, the songs she can sing perfectly is Edith Piaf's La Vie En Rose and Camille's Le Festin.
→ ( Touch my body ) Despite her distant personality, Chaewon loves initiating skinship with people she's close with and she loves it when people hugs her.

→ ( Together we're stronger ) With her friends, especially on broadcast, Chaewon won't be as shy as she is on real life. She's always more confident with her friends.

Located in Hapjeong, 3 minutes walk from YG building and the second floor serves as Minguk's art gallery. The coffee shop's price is a bit expensive but YG trainees love to flock here during their break for a delicious cup of coffee.

→ The Embarrassing Father, Jang Minguk ⋮ 47 ⋮ Painter ⋮ Playful, wise, warm ⋮ "Hi, hungry, I'm Dad." Minguk is arguably the most embarrasing yet endearing father in the world. He often makes the ever-dreaded Dad jokes that makes you cringe. Despite that, though, he dotes on his children; especially Chaewon. He loves to dig juicy news about her ("So, Bobby, eh?"); and can be wise when needed so Chaewon looks up to him a lot and relies on him a lot. The two always video-call each other every night.

→ Protective Mother Bear, Moon Saeyoung ⋮ 45 ⋮ Self-employed ⋮ Protective, reserved, kind  ⋮ "You can only have boyfriend once you're over 22." Saeyoung and Chaewon often bicker a lot because of Saeyoung's protective nature (She often forbids Chaewon to go to places in fear of what'll happen to her daughter), but it was a friendly bicker and the two, undeniably, loves each other very much. There's nothing Chaewon wants more in this world than to make her mother proud and give her a better life. Saeyoung often worry about Chaewon's future because she knows how cruel the entertainment world can be. The two clings to each other a lot and they're constantly texting each other.

→ Reliable Brother, Jang Daehan ⋮ 21 ⋮ College student ⋮ Sociable, dork, straight-forward ⋮ "I know you love me a lot more than you dare to admit."  Daehan and Chaewon are pretty much the bro-sis relationship goal. They tease each other, they pull pranks on each other, but they support each other's back and will never betray each other. Daehan is Chaewon's role model; he's excel in everything he does and Chaewon always wants to be like him, so Chaewon looks up to him a lot. Daehan also loves buying Chaewon her favorite food and sometimes just steal her phone to "Know what kind of bastard is after my sister now."

→ My Cute Little Sister, Jang Haeri ⋮ 16 ⋮ Student ⋮ Shy, reserved, playful ⋮ "Unnie, please get JB's autograph for me." Haeri is Chaewon's pride and joy. Chaewon literally spoils Haeri a lot, Haeri's wish is Chaewon's command and Chaewon would do anything to put a smile on Haeri's face, including asking JB's autograph after Chaewon got transferred to JYP. Chaewon is very protective of Haeri and literally protects Haeri from all her male friends ("No Bambam, you're not allowed to meet my sister!"). Both of them video-calls each other when they have the chance and chat each other through kkt or line.

FRIENDS

→ #trusoulmate, Madeline Kim ⋮ 19 ⋮ College student ⋮ Outgoing, sassy, laid-back ⋮ "OH MY GOD YOU'VE GROWN SO MUCH, I MISS YOU." Madeline is one of Chaewon's best friend back in France and even though they're miles apart, their friendship is still going strong. Despite being Korean, Madeline isn't very fluent in speaking the language so Chaewon talks to her in French.

→ She Knows Me Best, Lee Hayi/LeeHi ⋮ 19 ⋮ Idol ⋮ Shy, Awkward, Funny ⋮ "Please imitate YG again for me." Despite the short amount of time they spent together, the two naturally gravitate towards each other; maybe it's because their same personality. Hayi is one of Chaewon's best friends and Chaewon roots for Hayi a lot, saying that she'll be big later in the future. Chaewon pestered Hayi a lot during her I'm Different promotion with Suhyun ("Don't fall in love with Bobby, pls don't.") and Hayi would about it. Also, the two often meet at The Lab when they're not busy. Chaewon loves Hayi with all her heart.

→ My baby who I dedicate my whole life to, Kunpimook Bhuwakul/Bambam ⋮ 19 ⋮ Idol ⋮ Confident, funny, humble ⋮ "Chaewon is my mom, Chaewon umma." Chaewon sees Bambam like she sees Haeri; Bambam is Chaewon's little brother and she literally spoils him a lot. She would vote for him when the got7 members are bickering and would literally give Bambam the world if he asked her (norly). They're dumb when they're together, joking around and always laughing. Bambam is Chaewon's son and the whole JYP konws it. Chaewon's feelings for Bambam is completely maternal and she takes care of him a lot and worries about him a lot.

→ Affectionate lil Kitten, Katherine Tuan ⋮ 20 ⋮ Idol ⋮ Outgoing, bubby, affectionate ⋮ "Come on, admit it, you love me don't you? Don't you?" Kate is one of the many people who can break down CHaewon's walls and befriend her in a short span of time. She's just too affectionate that Chaewon finally gave in. Kate is the one who pesters Chaewon the most about Bobby and Kate also teases Chaewon a lot about her small crush for Mark. These two are dorks, to be honest. Chaewon, in response to Kate's teasings, would spill Kate's embarrassing moments to Jackson. Also, Kate loves to tease Chaewon's 'tsundere' side and would often say, "I know you love me, you're just too shy to admit it, don't you, Wonnie~" and would drive Chaewon crazy. She also acts as Chaewon's 'voice' when Chaewon is too shy to talk.

→ My Bestfriend's a Bear, Kang Seulgi ⋮ 22 ⋮ Idol ⋮ Kind, considerate, clumsy ⋮ "Chaewon-ah, what's bothering you, tell unnie, pwease?" The two shared the same high school and even though they're two years apart, they share a bond like sisters. Seulgi is the sister Chaewon never has and Seulgi gladly claims Chaewon as her little sister. She always knows when Chaewon is down and instead of giving CHaewon the space she demands, Seulgi would stick close to her until Chaewon tells Seulgi what's bothering her mind. Also, Chaewon is RV Seulgi's #1 fan.

Chaewon loves how Cheetah is so sure and confident about herself and how rarely she brags about herself and she hopes one day she'll be able to meet Cheetah.

→ My Goddess, My Princess, My Love, Choi Sooyoung ⋮ 26 ⋮ Idol ⋮ dork, funny, sassy ⋮ "NOTICE ME SENPAI! NOTICE ME SOOYOUNG UNNIE!" Chaewon is head over heels with Sooyoung, to Chaewon, Sooyoung is a role model. She met Sooyoung while she's visiting Seulgi in SM building and managed to say a few words with Sooyoung. Best day of her life.

TRAINEE YEARS 5yrs (3years in YG + 2years in JYP; starting from early 2013)
TRAINEE LIFE It was hard for her to adapt from YG to JYP at first; and the fact that she's very lonely made it worse, and let's not forget that she's still butthurt about YG's decision in shipping her to JYP. Yes, her dancing skill was acknowledged but Chaewon wasn't... happy. There were no Daehan or Bobby and she was very shy to approach other trainees. She was suffering and it affected her dancing. Suddenly, those moves seem like ten times harder without Daehan around to motivate her. Suddenly, those notes were too high for her to reach without Bobby around to cheer for her. Chaewon was failing.

At that moment Chaewon began to question if this is the right path for her. Maybe she wasn't that talented in dancing, maybe YG transferred her to JYP not because he thought her color would suit JYP, but because she didn't have what it takes. She became pessimistic and lazy and often skipped practise.

Her family tried their best to cheer her up and motivate her but it was fritless. Back in YG, Chaewon has friends to help her lighten the burden of being a trainee; and those friends made her trainee days enjoyable, but in JYP, she had none. Soon enough, Chaewon was on the verge of quitting.

It was at that crucial time when she met Bambam; a trainee from Thailand who's a year younger than her and also a dancing protegee. JYP paired Chaewon with Bambam because he thought Chaewon hadn't shown her full potential yet, and with Bambam being skilled in dancing, maybe it'll help Chaewon show her full potential.

It was awkward at first and but when Chaewon saw Bambam for the first time, she can't help but to see her sister in him. Bambam was very small and young that time, which instantly awoken her motherly instinct. She warmed up to him and Bambam was a sociable kid, so they got along well. Needless to say that JYP's plan worked, Chaewon became more comfortable in JYP and she became close friends with Bambam.

Then she met Kate, she was told to help Kate in her dancing. Becoming close with Kate wasn't as hard as Bambam. Kate was outgoing and bubbly and confident. Kate has been a trainee longer than Chaewon and she has seen Chaewon a lot. She asked why Chaewon is always alone, why Chaewon never get along with other trainees save for Bambam. Chaewon then admitted that she's very shy; Kate told her then that it's okay to be shy but scared of people? That's a no no. And yeah, the two became friends after that.

Sometimes she's still hurt when she remembered YG but if she didn't got transferred to YG, she would've never met Kate and Bambam, so yeah, JYP wasn't that bad anymore; in fact, it's starting to feel like home.

RELATIONSHIP

//"1 is loneliness and 2 is company. Together we're the A team, a match and gasoline."

Chaewon and Bobby are already above best friends but still less than lovers. Both are close with each other and they know each other's good traits and bad traits. They are literally the boy-girl friendship goals because Chaewon can literally talk about almost anything with Bobby without feeling awkward, and vice versa. They can talk about anything and sometimes they just sit side by side, enjoying the silence. They also texted each other 24/7 through line.

Together, they are the dumb and dumber, conjuring lame and stupid jokes and laughing at it; also sometimes pulling pranks on each other; or sometimes just do something that's utterly stupid and random (Like videotaping Daehan when he's checking himself out on the mirror, or recording sleeping Hanbin, or recording their funny faces on video).

However, when time comes, they won't hesitate to kick some sense into each others' skull. Bobby is very supportive of Chaewon and vice versa but each still reminds each other when one of them do something wrong, like that time when Chaewon gave Bobby a long lecture about his diss track. They also have each other's back and also give each other supportive criticism if needed. Also, Bobby is very, very protective towards Chaewon and sometimes it makes Chaewon happy, sometimes it annoys her.

They also love to do skinship, Chaewon loves to hold Bobby's hand; Bobby would lean his head on Chaewon's shoulder while they are talking, sometimes he puts his arms around Chaewon's shoulder. This skinship is purely off camera and they only do skinship where it's just the two of them or if they're around people they're close with (Hanbin, Kate, Daehan, etc.)

They also love to meet each other in secret and their secret lair is... yes, you're right, The Lab! The Lab has three floors but only two are accessible by customer. The third floor is like a living room for the family to get rest but yeah, it soon becomes Bobby and Chaewon's secret lair. They do love to meet in pblic places but since Bobby got famous, they soon meet in The Lab to ignore papparazzis. When they do meet each other in public, they usually do it at night, and by night, it's like almost midnight. Crazy, but it's only at that hour they can see each other without feeling like they can get caught any time.

Yes, the two like each other. Yes, Chaewon is literally head over heels with Bobby, but Chaewon is Chaewon, she keeps her emotions to herself so unless she tells you about her feelings, you would never guess that Chaewon has a huge crush on Bobby. I mean, the first time she befriend Bobby was when she's still a little girl and it's been 5 years, Bobby obviously only sees her as his best friend, if not his own little sister. Around Bobby, Chaewon would act like the normal Chaewon, joking with him, conversing with him and sometimes . But yeah, she still put Bobby as one of her 'prioritized person' aside from family and her bunch of best friends. She would defend Bobby when someone is talking bad about him, and honestly, if you're observant enough, you'd see the small act of kindness she'd always do for Bobby ("Oh, this keychain looks like Bobby, I'll buy it for him." or "I'm buying this food for Bobby, he must be tired from practising for so long.").

As for Bobby, he likes Chaewon, but Chaewon and him has been friends for so long and he has gotten too close and too comfortable with her that Bobby doesn't even realize that his feelings for Chaewon is romantic! It's in his nature to take care of others and this also applies to Chaewon.  In fact, Bobby even give her more attention than the others; he would drop anything that he's doing and comfort Chaewon when she's sad, put a smile on her face when she's angry and soothe her when she has a lot of worry in her mind. He's also very protective of Chaewon ("You're still practising? It's 11 p.m., go to sleep." or "So, did Wooyoung treated you kindly during the MV filming?"). He knows Chaewon is not a baby but Chaewon's heart is more sensitive than she would admit and he would do anything to protect her from getting hurt phisically or emotionally.

Who knows, maybe one day, Bobby would realize his feelings and Chaewon would stop being so pessimistic and pursue him.

HISTORY

//"And I was enchanted to meet you."//
The fateful encounter was in 2010. Chaewon, her little sister Haeri and her parents were working in The Lab. Daehan were still practising in YG. The Lab were a bit empty that time, only one or two customer. It was 11 o'clock; too early for lunch and too late for breakfast.

Chaewon were wiping off coffee stains from the table when the shop bell rings and the door opens; indicating there's a customer coming. She looked up and saw Daehan entering the coffee shop with a guy trailing behind him.

The boy was skinny, his hair was hidden under his dark blue beanie and he wears brown, thick framed glasses that made Chaewon cringed inwardly. She had a good guess about this new kid, Daehan had been talking about this new friend he got in YG for the past two days; this boy was probably Daehan's new friend.

There was nothing special about their first encounter, really. after introducing Bobby to Haeri and her parents, Daehan and Bobby sat down on Daehan's favorite spot in The Lab; near the window and a bit to the back. Of course, Chaewon apporached them to get their orders.

There wasn't anything special, as soon as Chaewon was close enough, Daehan introduced her to Bobby saying, "Hey, this is Bobby! Bobby, this is my sister Chaewon."

Bobby looked at her and a kind smile bloomed in his face, a smile that left Chaewon a bit stunned.

His smile was pretty. Bobby's eyes disappeared into eyesmile and his smile was wide, showing a set of big, bunny teeth. Chaewon had been a er for people with pretty smile and that day, she was fully captivated by Bobby's smile.

He said, "Oh, so you're Chaewon," the boy grinned wider, "Daehan said you were really talented, it's nice to meet you."

And like the shy little girl Chaewon is, she replied with a small, shy smile.

The Lab got a new regular after that and when Bobby was around, Chaewon, though she would never admit it, would admire him Bobby from the distance and let herself got a bit excited time she managed to get a glimpse of his smile.

Their friendship bloomed in YG. At first it was hard for Bobby to befriend Chaewon because of her shyness, but with Daehan as their bridge (And Bobby constantly making the first moves), the two managed to became friends in the end. The three of them often practise together and ate together in the cafeteria. The three also do a lot of project and covers.

Also, in those 3 years she spent in YG, Chaewon fell in love with Bobby but made no effort to pursue him and remained his friend instead. They became very close. Bobby came to support her when she's dancing for LeeHi's MV, he also sent a supporting text message when she's filming for GD's MV (And was a bit taken aback by how pretty she looked after those make-up artists and stylists worked their magic on her). But yeah, the two got very close during this time.

They became a little distant after Chaewon moved to JYP. However, they started to become close again during the WIN: Who is Next era, where Chaewon constantly gave him moral support, especially after Team B's loss. Bobby spent the night in Chaewon's house (ya he's sleeping in Daehan's room) and the two stayed up watching movie and talked about a lot of things and Chaewon comforted him and motivated him so Bobby would keep moving forward.

The two became close again and Bobby probably started to pay more attention to her during these times. He felt happy and proud of her when he learned about the predebut activity she had done ("Look! She's the dancer in Sunmi's MV and she's dancing on Sunmi's stage too!") he was happy because her talent is really put to use in JYP. 

The two got even moooore closer during Bobby's Mix&Match era, where Chaewon continuously giving him support and scolded him when he was too harsh on himself. Bobby probably fell for her during this time. The two often met in The Lab where they discuss about his tough time and her progress in JYP. Chaewon congratulated him and threw him a small party in The Lab with him and her family when Mix&Match ended. They teased each other a lot about their MV appearances, but yeah, by this time, it's obvious that they already like each other but they are too stubborn to realize it.
