Don't have a title for this either. Just saying. Read if you want. But this is a continuation of my last blog about the new story.

Hey there!

I revised the drabble I posted the other day. (I hope you guys can read this and I hope you like it)

So, I've decided to embark on another story. I'm not familiar with kitty, puppy. hybrid, AU's but, yeah. I will do more research on it.

But for now enjoy what I have written so far.

Hi.
My name
is Link.
I am currently in college, studying to become a teacher.
I also work part time at this little cafe near my university.
I bet you're wondering why I'm even saying all of this right? It will be important trust me.
Well about 3 months ago, something incredible happened to me and five of my friends.

You see, about 10 years ago there was huge scientific phenomenon occurred in the animal kingdom. A zoologist discovered that with combining the genes of a human with a cat or a dog; they were able to create an entire new species. Sounds gross and awesome at the same time right? Well, from what I've gathered; they used embryo's or fetuses that were aborted by their uh, mothers and with the DNA of say a cat, they found a way to save the aborted life and give it an entire new life. Only, they weren't human nor were they animals either but merely hybrids of both. Pretty sick right? (in a good way)
Needless to say, it was a
majorily huge controversy like with all things in science. On one side, you had people saying it was an abomination and it shouldn't even be allowed or considered to exist on "God's green Earth". While on the other side, argued that it was a huge leap in evolution and also a remarkable thing that would give those that were aborted from this life so soon a second chance.
As it turned out; society
mutally agreed that it wasn't ready for hybrid cats and dogs to be walking around on the same planet as them. All hybrids were gathered and taken to a secret location where they could live out their life in peace (As you can imagine PETA, WWF, and every other pro animal and pro life organization weren't too happy when it was first suggested that the hybrids were to be put to sleep like any ordinary household pet). Anyone caught with a hybrid after the round up were punished and their hybrid were taken away.
I know what you're thinking. What does that have to do with me?

Well, here's my story...the condensed version:
3 months ago I was walking home from work. It was shortly after midnight when my shift ended.
Mid terms were in full swing and so you can probably imagine how busy we were at the cafe when students started to swarm the place searching for they're caffine fix. Midnight was the latest we were able to stay open. Where those half zombie half crazy college student running around trying to get they're fix on a caramel mochiatio went to after midnight was none of my concern. (For future refence, I drink only tea. Green tea when I'm studying. It's the only thing that keeps me up without making me go nuts like other students my age)
Anyway, I was walking home, when I saw something rather strange or someone at least standing
ominiously in front of my apartment building underneath the street light like a serial killer. Now usually, I would of turned the other way and booked it. Momma didn't raise no fool. Stranger danger folks, stranger danger. And this guy reeked of it. But due to the fact that I had pulled a whole 8 hour shift and I too needed to hit the books but also be in bed at a reasonable hour for my early morning class at 7 in the freaking morning (seriously, who thought it was a GREAT idea to wake kids up that early?) I decided to keep walking and if worst came to worst, I am known to be a pretty good screamer when I want to be.
I saw the guy pacing back and forth under the streetlight. He kept looking around as if looking for someone, or making sure he was absolutely alone (but that was my assumption ). Since my building can only be accessed with a key after midnight, I knew I was slightly in safe hands. Picking up the pace, I started speed walking to the entrance while grasping tightly to my house keys. I didn't want any trouble, and I also didn't want to give this guy a reason to give me that trouble. I had just made it to the door when he ambushed me.
Funny thing about dangerous situations; all the stuff you are suppose to do when bad stuff happens to you like a mugging (what I thought was going to happen to me), or ual
assult (another thought), or murder in cold blood (and that one too) doesn't compute in your head and you really don't remember ...you're brain decides to take a mini vacation and your left looking at your assailant with a shocked expression just waiting for him to finish the job.
But no such thing happened. (shocker right?)
To my utter surprise, the strange man in his creepy tan trench coat (like those bozo's that try and sell you rip-offs in Time Square) walked right up to me and said:
"Are you Link?"
I blinked in confusion and nodded my head, like an idiot.
The creepy stranger smiled as if relieved and pulled out of his coat a small white book and a little yellow bag and handed them to me. Me, being the shocked dummy that I was, took the trinkets without a second thought. He then reached into his coat again and this time pulled out a medium sized clip-board and pushed it toward me with a pen.
"Sign at the bottom please."
I nodded and quickly signed at where he told me to and handed the clipboard back. The creeper nodded his head in approval and tucked away the clipboard and looked at me.
"The package is already in your apartment. If you do have
questions, however, kindly look through the manual I just gave to you. If you come across a problem that isn't in the manual. Please don't hesisate to call us at the number located on the last page of the manual. Enjoy the rest of your night."
I watched
agaped and yeah, stupidly as the man walked around the corner of my apartment from my sight. I dunno how long I stood standing there but when a cold wind decided to snap me back to reality I quickly ran inside my building and ran up the stairs (yeah, the elevator broke so, you gotta take the stairs.) to my room on the 3rd floor.
Once I made to my door I saw a box that could fit a decent 32' TV sitting in front of my door. I breathed in deeply and walked up to the box.
Adrenaline was still pumping through my veins and a part of me wanted to throw the box down the stairway and hide in my room. But another part of me was curious as to what was inside of the box.
Guess which one I ended up choosing.
Curiosity killed the cat as they say.
I opened my door and picked up the box which was surprisingly light, (I was hoping for a new TV but whatever) and brought it inside my living room. Placing it on the coffee table, I sat down in my lumpy armchair and stared at the box. My head was buzzing with questions that needed answers. Who was that strange man? Why did he give me a manual? What was the manual for? What was in the yellow bag? What was in the box? Is it a bomb? Is it something dark and sinister that will kill me?
I shook my head, as if trying to rid myself of the questions I was bombarding on my brain. I knew that whatever was inside of the box, was for me. Sure, I didn't know what it was or if it was even safe for me. But the only way I was ever going to find out was if I opened the box. Gathering up my courage I tugged at the tape on the side of the box and started to pull, releasing it's bond on the box. Discarding the tape I gulped as I reached out (my hands were shaking so bad i should point out) and pulled at the side of the box opening it. Fear was starting to engulf my soul as I leaned forward and peered inside, but what I saw I didn't expect.
"What the-"
Inside the box was a little fluffly black kitten cuddled up next to a big white and sandtan brown huskie looking puppy with big ears who was sleeping peacefully on a baby blue soft felt blanket.
I gasped and that small sound was enough to alert the kitten who looked up at me with big wide eyes.
We just stared at each other for a moment before the kitten got up from where it was resting and reached it's little paw out. Consciously I reached out my index finger to the little kitten who sniffed my finger first before it nuzzled it's head affectionately at it. I felt warmth spread through my body (I think everyone does when something adorable likes you automatically) and it gave me enough encouragement to reach down and pick the cute thing up.
I held the kitten in my palm, amazed that it was sitting comfortably while it nuzzled my fingers and bit them gently. I smiled at the little thing's ministrations. How adorable was he? I tilted my head sideways and saw a little shiny gold collar was wrapped around it's neck with a small plaque. I gently pulled at it and squinted slightly and read outloud:
"Kyungsoo."
As soon as I said his name he snapped his head toward me and bit my thumb affectionately before meowing softly. I smiled and his tiny head.
"Hello, Kyungsoo, I'm Link."
Kyungsoo leaped from my open hand and landed back in the box where he started pulling on the puppy's big ears getting a sleepy whine from the creature. I smiled at the sight; that little guy wasn't scared of anything. Kyungsoo pulled on the ear once more before the puppy sat up and yawned and batted its paw at Kyungsoo as if telling him to go away. I giggled when Kyungsoo fell over after getting smacked in head with the puppy's big paw. My giggle got the puppy to look at me and it started to claw at the box trying to get out, while barking happily at me. I laughed quietly and reached down and grabbed the puppy out and sat him on my lap before I reached back and rescued Kyungsoo who looked like he was pouting (do cats pout?)
The cute husky of a puppy wagged it's tail at me and sat up on my lap at my fingers that were holding Kyungsoo. I laughed and put Kyungsoo down before I patted the dog's head. The puppy did the same as Kyungsoo, it nuzzled it's head into my palm and then it. I smiled for a moment before laughing out loud when the puppy got on it's back and pushed Kyungsoo off my lap and displayed his tummy for me to rub.
"Okay, okay I get it."
I chuckled and rubbed his tummy. Kyungsoo meowed and clawed at my leg trying to get my attention. I looked down at the little guy and saw he was pointing at the puppy's neck with it's paw. There was a gold collar on the puppy just like the one Kyungsoo had on his. I reached out and took the name tag in my fingers and read out the name on the collar:
"Chanyeol."
Chanyeol barked happily and jumped from my lap onto the floor to stand in front of me, wagging his tail with his tounge sticking out. I smiled down at the cute puppy and held out my hand. To my surprise Chanyeol put his paw in my hand and woofed softly.
"Nice to meet you Chanyeol. I'm Link."
