PRIMARY
History – All Dayeon has ever wanted was a place to call home and a family. When she was accepted into the institute, she decided it was good enough. She lived like she was told to, did all the things the scientists asked of her and kept herself company in her small room by entertaining her thoughts. She's always been a person for routine and stability and that's something following the rules gave her. Though she had found a home, the word 'family' would be too much of a stretch to call these people who were trying to turn her into a weapon for war. The scientists often told her of stories about the human race and how they were monsters, killing their own home planet and each other, she was told of how the places beyond these walls were dangerous and scary. Even to this day, even after witnessing the world with her own two eyes, she can't help but think these words might have been true. Sometimes, she would see the other subjects briefly, in those moments she owuld always offer them a smile and a greeting because surely they were as lonely as she was? She particularly paid attention to the tall, lanky boy who always repaid her small smile with one a thousand times brighter.
The day they took her for the "enhancements" she almost had a panic attack, not because it would surely hurt like nothing else she'd ever feel in her life - which it did - but because it was so out of her schedule and she knew this wouldn't be the last time. It was during this time that she realised she wasn't really considered a human anymore, she didn't know whether the feeling of relief should be welcomed. After recovering from the painful enhancements, she was told she would have a designated 'partner'. She was thrown into a room and was met face to face with none other than 'the smiley boy' Park Chanyeol. He welcomed her with a bashful smile and she thought it was the most beautiful sight ever. They always stuck together from that point on, "because we're partners," would be their weak excuse. Though the thought of doing 'intimate things' in order to strengthen each other was an idea that bewildered them, it brought fluttering feelings and curiosity and neither really minded as much as they claimed they did.
