appearance » Although she might admire colors that range from the brightest pink all the way to the darkest black, she is never imaginative when it comes to her hair. Her hair is the color of charcoal; pitch black, and she's trying her best to maintain it that way for as long as possible. Her orbs, however, are of the color of a lighter chocolate and she has a pale shade of pink for her plump pair of lips. She stands at a height of 164cm and weighs a total of 45 kg. Nonetheless, she is very contented and very confident when it comes to her physicality. She has a fair skin of tone; not too tanned, not too fair. She claims to have 2 personalities to herself; the innocent one with only the lightest shade of makeup, and her inner beast, which is when she applies a dark shade of eyeliner circling her eyes. She has a tattoo of three little stars on her nape, each representing a family member.
 

style » Unlike how she refuses to try anything funny with her hair, she is almost open to every and any idea available for clothing. Trench coats? Check. Crop tees? Check. Denim jeans? Check, check, and check. Dresses, simple tees with cartoon characters on them, skirts, she knows she rocks it all and isn't afraid to mix and match. She owns a collection of beanies as well. A very happy go lucky person, to sum it all up. Haewon is just like any other girl you see next door, only with more outstanding visuals and a more radiant smile to top it all off. She's very optimistic and sees everything from the bright side, no matter what. She smiles and laughs all the time, even tell the lamest jokes off stage. However, when on stage, her eyeliner alone is enough to make her eyes strike out like those of a cat's and get ready for tons of smirking. A plus point? She knows how to divide her personalities being on and off stage. A negative point, however, is how her opinion isn't very loud. She strives to please people, and that desire to do so covers up her personal opinions, which could lead up to her bottling up her feelings and cry only when alone. 

A very talkative person. She does anything and everything to get along with others, which explains why she can talk almost about anything and everything. This, however, results in her being very spontaneous and not think when she speaks. She's very punctual, and even better, a very patient person. She has a very high level of tolerance and it's very rare to find her mad. She does go berserk when the people that she cares for are hurt or offended in any way. She acts before she speaks; that's basically her main flaw. A very good listener, but unfortunately a very bad speaker. She doesn't offer solutions to your problems - oh, no, no, not at all - but she clears your mind with a few lame jokes of hers. 

While others think that the persona of being the Envy in the group doesn't suit her, they're extremely wrong. Haewon acts immediately like a child once she's jealous, and sometimes throws playful tantrums once she senses the lack of love she's receiving. A little child off stage, but an undoubted charisma flares off her on stage. She's so different from her on stage self to the point sometimes people even question whether she has two people living in her. Of course, she brushes that topic off with that silly little grin of hers. She's very in needy of skinship almost all the time. Oh, is this the first time you've met her? No, you don't get a handshake. You get a big bear hug. 

She claims herself to be different from the others who share the same zodiac as her; Virgo. While a lot of Virgos are very critical about every single thing, she's the exact opposite, thus the optimist title. One common trait she shares, though, is the fact that she's very picky - with food? nah. With boys. However, one must always remember that Haewon may take a long time to fall, but once she does, there's no backing off. That's just as loyal as a girl can get.

Being born in Busan played a part in a lot of her personalities. For example, she was raised in a very extremely ordinary country and so resulted in her being happy with the littlest things in life. Sure, Busan was a huge city, but she made sure that she knew everyone's names, everyone who lived in her neighborhood. This helped in shaping how easily she socializes these days. Noticably, she was born in the heart of Korea; Seoul itself, when her parents were on a short vacation. She was not supposed to be born until a month later but was born anyway, and doctors had predicted her short living. Contrary to that, she's still living at a healthy age of 20. Soon, her father saw how much luck Haewon might be representing and so moved to Seoul shortly afterwards and established what is now one of the greatest electronics company ever in Korea. Haewon's name personally came from her deceased grandpa, who said that it meant graceful, and that Haewon was blessed to bring grace and joy to the people she meet.

She was never a smart student, but she sure was noticed with the title of a class clown and definitely as the social butterfly in school. Not only was she nice and polite, her looks weren't failing her either. High school was when she met her first love, and they had a blossoming relationship that lasted for 3 fruitful years before they had to break up, leaving Haewon very devastated. Singing was the only thing that made Haewon happy for a few months, and soon she found herself falling head over heels for KPop, which resulted in her immediate audition for SM Entertainment. The song she sang got her in, fortunately, as she sang the song with all the emotions she felt for her ex boyfriend.

The 2 years she spent in SM passed quickly as she found herself making friends with other trainees and even her seniors. A significant figure would be f(x)'s very own visual, Sulli, who also came from Busan. They found themselves liking the same things and soon became very good friends. Other noticeable people would be f(x) themselves, and among them, Victoria and Amber managed to teach her a little thing or two about the foreign countries she's never visited. Befriending f(x) led her to befriending a lot more idols, which later then included one of the hottest groups in Korea, EXO, as she soon realizes that she was in fact in love with one of the members. Little does she know that he's always felt the same way in return. However, both are still prematures when it comes to the topic of love, and so refuses to go past the "only friends" line.

Kai would be the exact person behind how the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" came to be. He may look like the toughest among exo but is actually very much like Haewon inside. Sorry, did i say inside? No, Kai and Haewon share too many in common, to the point of their two personalities on and off stage. Very quiet and shy around people he does not know but very talkative once you get to know him more. He's the type to preservere despite anything and everything, which is how he gets Haewon to tell him things most of the time. He enjoys mimicking Haewon's accent when speaking and that would result in a lot of playful violence between the both of them. He has a huge thing for Haewon but is too afraid to confess, and so only shows his affections through the littlest things when Haewon's not looking. For example, becoming Haewon's pillow whenever she falls asleep, all the way to squeezing her hand whenever she displays signs of nervousness.

He is deeply in love with her. She is deeply in love with him. Worse, everyone but them knows. Both are too afraid to take another wrong step and so are often seen holding themselves back from showing signs of affection towards each other. They've met only after Haewon managed to befriend f(x) and only started talking because Haewon was socializing. Kai had always taken an interest at how cheerful Haewon always looked and spoke, and so they've been good friends ever since. Although first in denial, Kai found himself scrunching his nose in jealousy whenever it's not his shoulder Haewon's leaning against, and when his hand isn't the one placed on the small of Haewon's back. Haewon, on the other hand, noticed how Kai was extremely close to Krystal, and for her friendship's sake, she displays a little smile.
