SHE WAS THE YOUNGEST CHILD OF THE BYUN FAMILY. her parents both worked to cater to the small bakery they had right next to their small house. her two brothers--twins to be exact--were three years older than her. they all went to the same school and lived as a normal happy family. it was when she was seven when something devastating happened to their family. it turned out that one of their uncles who also lived in jeollanam was under the lookout of loan sharks and thhe only location he had ever placed when he signed contracts with them was at the residence of the byun family. the target was now placed on their head and they were given a month to pay up for their uncle's wrong call. they lost almost everything--from their house to their bakery. luckily, jinsang's aunt who was the sibling of both her father and her evasive uncle have offered them to stay at her house in ariona for the time being.
upon moving to phoeniz, arizona-her and her family had some difficulties learning the new culture of the people around them. jinsang was about seven that time and she ws having troubles with learning how to speak english unlike her brothers who have already started studying intermediate english at their age. she was treated like a special child in their school just because she could not communicate well. she was bullied and she did not know if she should fight them back because truthfully, she was pretty scared. as soon as her brothers caught those students in the act of bullying her, they wasted no time in teaching her how to deal with those kind of people. she was reserved but she observed everybody's behavior wit a keen eye. instead of building up anger within her, she did her best to try and understand them more. it did not take her long to be a mature, young lady that nobody thought would have gone through such harsh bulyying when she was young.

just like how normal idols would meet, they met backstage before their debut. it wasn't the type in where they would visit them in their dressing rooms or be next to the performance line--they actually met through having to be locked out in the spare room of the venue. jinsang's purpose for being there was to find their youngest member who seem to have trailed off--meanwhile kyungsoo saw her roaming around near te vicinity in which he was aware shouldn't be wandered upon. he followed her in hopes that he would not seem like a stalker but fate had been cruel and got them locked in a room where there phone's reception was quickly cut off.
