What I look like isn't it;

Appearence: Chaehyun, more commonly known by her stage name Ruby, is a petite and small girl. At first sight, no one would think she is the main rapper and lead dancer of her group. She is not often seen smiling, giving her a very serious face, even though she's really just shy. Her delicate fringe of doll lashes and innocent looks give her the illusion of cute doe-eyes.  She has a fair skintone, although bordering on the paler side. She has pert, rosebud lips. She has a slender and elegant neck, with a strong but not too strong chin, and a cute, dainty nose to top it all off. Despite her delicate size, she actually has strong but pretty legs from dancing-the feature she is most proud of. Her natural beauty has truly earned her the title of the visual.

Personality: Chaehyun is quite shy. She is very quiet around others to avoid awkward situations. However, she completely transforms when she's performing. She goes from the shy little puppy Chaehyun to the powerful rapper and passionate dancer, Ruby. Offstage, however, she has a very innocent puppy-like personality that makes people think that she is the youngest. When there's a bad situation, she'll usually step out or wait it out silently. She can effectively communicate in methods other than words-her subtle body language, facial expressions, or even a simple look of the eyes. This is mainly the reason why she is the best model of her group and the visual. Despite having the title of visual, she dislikes being in the spotlight too much. Her philosophy is that she shouldn't garner fame just because she has a nice face-she wants her voice to be heard and adored.
Background: Ryu Chaehyun was born in Bucheon, to a single mother named Ryu Sungah who owned a coffee shop. Chaehyun's father, Cheon Joonhun, had divorced her mother after she admitted her pregnancy, leaving her to care for the child herself. The coffee shop did well, but obviously Chaehyun and her mother were not wealthy. So, Chaehyun was brought up from fairly humble beginnings without a father in her life, but as long as she had a roof to live under, food to eat, and a loving mother, she didn't complain.
Chaehyun grew up as a rather outgoing and joyful girl during her younger child years. She was a very loud but playful child, and never ceased to entertain everyone with her endless antics. She was an absolute doll in front of teachers-quiet, obedient, and an intelligent student. However, as soon as she'd step out of the classroom, she left a trail of fun chaos in her wake.
However, things changed when Chaehyun was in her final year of middle school. She was sought out by a model agency for her ulzzang looks, and with the encouragement of her mother, signed in under the agency. The model agency, called IKO Agency, often pulled Chaehyun out of school for photoshoots and the like. After this happened, Chaehyun's close circle of friends grew distant. As Chaehyun's popularity as an ulzzang grew, her friends not only grew distant, but malicious as well.
As Chaehyun began high school, she no longer talked to any of her former close friends. Chaehyun grew a reputation at her school as the famous ulzzang, but her former friends whispered in the halls about how she was only famous for her face, that she was about as talented as a brick. The whispers spread, and although Chaehyun wore a mask of nonchalance, it affected her more than she wanted to admit. The social, loud girl withdrew far into herself, and instead the silent, soft-spoken girl took her place. This was when Chaehyun began to learn rapping and dancing-music was her solace in the lonely halls of school. She learned various dances and enjoyed rapping along to some of her favorite songs.
As Chaehyun neared sophomore year, she finally quit the agency. Although it paid well, she no longer wanted her status as a famous ulzzang. Instead, she wanted people to hear her instead of looking at her. She continued to learn music by herself, occasionally helping her mother with the coffee shop, until she was scouted out by an employee from Big Hit. She had been at her mother's coffee shop, cleaning the tables outside, when the employee recognized her as the ulzzang Ryu Chaehyun. After a brief conversation, he offered her an audition at the Big Hit company. If she passed, she would go through the training regime. Her mother accepted, and Chaehyun auditioned a week later at the company in Seoul. She was accepted, and she began her five years of training at Big Hit.
There, she worked tirelessly-not only for a chance to debut, but also to prove that she was more than just a pretty face. She was offered a chance to debut in the original Candyz, but she declined, feeling she wasn't ready yet. However, when she was offered a chance to finally debut in iCANDY after many years of training, she accepted and is prepared to debut with the group.

Family: [ feel free to add by copying and pasting or delete ]
Mother » Ryu Sungah / 57 / Owner of New Day coffee shop in Bucheon/ Gentle, caring, sometimes strict, hard-worker / Chaehyun/Dawn has always looked up to her mother. Her mother worked very hard on her cafe, and yet still found time to give Chaehyun love and attention. Their relationship experienced some strain after Chaehyun's ulzzang status launched, as Chaehyun withdrew into her shell, while her mother kept pushing her to continue the career. After Chaehyun quit, she had been in the process of making things up with her mother, but then she was scouted by Big Hit. After she began training, she found little to no time to interact with her mother. She hopes soon that she will have that opportunity. Despite the fact that Sungah was not on best terms with Chaehyun for a long time, Chaehyun still loves her deeply.

Father » Cheon Joonhun / 59 / Employee at a publishing company/ Lazy, intelligent, irresponsible / Chaehyun has never met her father. She knows little to nothing about him. Him and her mother were only married for about a year and they divorced before she had the baby. Her mother has told her that the marriage didn't work out just because they weren't the people they thought each other were. Chaehyun has a somewhat low opinion of her father but respects the reasons why they broke it off. She does not care if she ever meets him or not, and she is not sure if she even wants to.
Relation » Name / Age / Work (if any) / Personality Traits / Tell me about your relation ship with them min. one paragraph.

Friends: [ best friend, cousin, friend, rival, ex. ]
Former Friend/Rival » Choi Somi / 21 / Student at an academy in Seoul/ Sullen, moody, envious/ Somi and Chaehyun used to be great friends during their middle school years. Despite being a little moody and snappy, Chaehyun's charisma helped Somi cheer up. Being the youngest in her family, Somi was largely ignored by her parents in favor of her older brother by two years and one older sister by five. When Chaehyun began getting famous for her face, Somi was jealous of Chaehyun's fame and resentful how she was onlyt hat way because she was pretty. As Chaehyun became more busy, they found less and less time to talk. Finally, Somi spread rumors about Chaehyun during high school. She felt regretful of what happened, since she noticed how Chaehyun changed, but after Chaehyun was recruited by Big Hit she instantly despised Chaehyun again. Chaehyun doesn't know if she'll ever make things up with Somi, and to be quite frank she's a little scared of her.
Ex-Boyfriend » Kim Sungjae / 24 / Works at a print shop/ Loud, a little immature, funny / Sungjae and Chaehyun were classmates at her high school, Jungwon High School. They became friends, and two months later he asked her to be his girlfriend. She said yes, and the two dated briefly for only a mere few weeks. They never kissed, as Chaehyun never felt comfortable with it. Frustrated with her shyness, they broke it off and lost contact. Their relationship was short and Chaehyun is a little wary of dating again, fearing the next relationship will end just as badly.
Best Friend » Byun Baekhyun / 22 / Main Vocalist of EXO/EXO-K, former MC of Inkigayo/ Cute, amiable, talkative / Chaehyun and Baekhyun both attended the same high school and middle school. Being two years older than her, they were never in the same classes but he often visited the coffee shop and they had several conversations. She knew him fairly well as he visited a lot of music festivals and won an award at a local rock festival. He was also familiar with her because she was a model. Later, Chaehyun began training under Big Hit. A year after her, Baekhyun became a trainee under SM, but debuted much earlier than her. As she continued being a trainee and he was an idol, she kept in touch with him, and he continuously gave her advice to prepare her for her debut. She considers him a good and helpful friend and hopes when she debuts that she can see him face-to-face again.

Anyeonghaseyo! I am the Barbie!;

Stage Name: Ruby
Fanclub Name + Color: Sweeties, Pink (Ruby's own fanclub & Color: Jewels & Red)
Position: Main Rapper, Lead Vocalist, Visual

Singing Twin: Soyu (SISTAR)
Dancing Twin: Min (Miss A)
Rapping Twin: Jiyoon (4Minute)
Talking Twin: Krystal (f(x))

How do you feel about debuting soon?  Are you excited for iCANDY?: I've been training for five years. Although I was offered an earlier opportunity to debut, I never felt I was ready. When they offered again to debut with the new and improved iCANDY, I still wasn't sure if I was ready. But it's already been a long time, and if I don't take this opportunity, I don't know if another one will ever come up. So yes, I'm nervous, excited, and still not sure if I'm ready for this, but I have to make the best of it.

He's my ice cream cake;
J-Hope (Jung Hoseok) / Bangtan Boys / 21
Byun Baekhyun (I know but I don't know Infinite well enough SO HERE'S EXO SORRY <3) / EXO/ 22

Personality: J-Hope, aka Jung Hoseok, lives up to his name. He's the 'moodmaker' of BTS, and he has never been seen angry. He's a constantly cheerful and optimistic person who cheers on his bandmates and friends. However, most of the time he only looks cheerful-he locks up his emotions and hides everything under the surface. He does this for the sake of his groupmates and his fans, so they can always see the best side of him. Although he's a cute and playful squishy, on stage he instantly funnels all of his energy and passion into his dancing and rapping. He's a rather unstoppable force when performing. So don't let his bright smiles and endearing laughs fool you-behind the innocence is a powerful dancer and talented rapper.

Relationship: There are two things Ruby and J-Hope have in common-they have two completely different people inside them. Both Ruby and J-Hope are power rappers and dancers, passionate and fierce. But Ryu Chaehyun is really a thoughtful introvert, and Jung Hoseok a fun guy to be around. They began training at Big Hit around the same time, but he had more experience-he was a former JYP trainee. He instantly recognized her as the ulzzang that had recently quit, but he didn't say anything about it. They interacted several times as they were both in similar areas of performance. They helped each other a lot-he helped her hone her dancing skills, while she gave him a few pointers for rapping. He always wondered why she was such a quiet person when she had a lot to be proud of. She wondered how he was always so charismatic and cheerful. When BTS debuted, they didn't talk much anymore, since he was so busy with his schedules. But now that she is finally getting her chance to debut, he's pretty excited to see her on stage at last. Because iCANDY and BTS began to have overlapping schedules, they have to continuously spend time with each other. He never fails to make her laugh.
Because iCANDY and BTS began to have overlapping schedules, they have to continuously spend time with each other-carpooling to the same location or simply being in a waiting room with each other. At first, Chaehyun feels awkward with him, as they haven't talked since their training days. However, Hoseok never fails to compliment her over and over again, praising her on her debut. He finds it adorable when she becomes flustered and looks away. She never ceases to surprise and amaze him when the shy little girl he knows goes on stage and completely kills it. When they talk, it's either a light conversation where he tells a bunch of jokes, or one where he listens to all her thoughts and ideas and completely understands everything. Their chemistry would not go unnoticed-fans all over Tumblr and Twitter would be trending #ruhope and #chaeseok. Even their own group members would jokingly tell them to get a room or to just date already. How do you want this to end up?: They never officially dated due to both their busy schedules. However, after their schedules were both paused so they could have a break, he would finally ask her to be his girlfriend. She'd be hesitant, since he didn't want to keep it from the fans, but finally she said yes. She obviously got a lot of haters on her social media, but the support front he fans outnumbered it twicefold. They'd stay in a relationship, and if you have any more far-ahead ideas like marriage or such, go ahead. (Something I forgot to mention-I would like if Baekhyun and Ruby possibly dated for a while, before she dates J-Hope.
