APPEARANCE » When Gaeul was a high-schoolar, she had a short bob hair, almost looks like Dora the Explorer. And then she came back to Korea after some years, she now has a medium black wavy hair. She has a scar on her left palm that she got when she was 10 y.o playing with Myungsoo. She accidentally fell into some pieces of glass and hurted her palm. The scar never fade away. She has one piercing on her right ear and two piercings on her left ear.

Song Gaeul appeared to be a quiet girl. She doesn't really talk much, but once she do, she says important things. Unless you're one of the people she comfortable with, she's not gonna reveal that she is actually a girl with motherly nature. Since she was young she mostly played dolls, pretending to be a mother. Until she is grown up, the mother nature in her grew up as well, making her a girl with a soft spot for kids and younger people.

BACKGROUND » Song Gaeul was born as the second child in her family with 6 years different from her older brother Jinyoung. She was born at the first day of november in a cold autumn night. That was the reason why she was named Gaeul. Her father is a diploma who usually travelled and stayed in a country for some years. Her father just happened to be assigned for duty in their homeland when her mother went to labor. Gaeul spent her 11 first years in Seoul.
She grew up together with her childhood friend, her neighbour, Kim Myungsoo, who is a year older than her. Both of them merely spent their time with their own brother -Gaeul because her older brother is way too old to play with her, Myungsoo because his younger brother Moonsoo was too childish to get along with them-. It was only Gaeul and Myungsoo. They played together, they went to school together. Until Gaeul's father assigned to London when Gaeul turned 12. The lovely friend forcely separated with a promise "someday, we'll meet again".
The only thing she loves about London is that city was the first one who introduced her into fashion world. She decided to pursue a career in modelling while in London. But London wasn't all good. Not because the city, but because her family broke into pieces here. After moved to London, her father became really really busy, spent all his time in the office and ignored his family. At first it was just fine, but things got worst then the rumor about her father having an affair appeared. Gaeul and her brother knew something was wrong, but they never expected that their parent would suddenly announced that they decided to divorce. Three years in London, Gaeul followed her mother back to Korea while her brother continued his study in USA, leaving her father alone in Paris. In Korea, they lived in a apartment (because their home was belong to his father). Her mother was broke. She decided to drown herself into something she likes, studying. She then becoming a lecturer and sent to Kyungpook National University in Daegu when Gaeul was 17. The girl stays in Seoul.
Back to Gaeul's personal life. After moved back to Seoul, she met again with Myungsoo, as promised, and went to the same school with him. In this school she met one of her bestfriend, Hae Jina. They were in the same class, and Jina was the one who approached the quiet girl from Europe. She was 16 back then.
It was only the matter of time when the two of them became really close and met the other girls. In exhange, Gaeul introduced her childhood friend who happened to be their senior by a two years to her friends. Yeah, it was Gaeul who introduced Myungsoo to Jina. The girls knew Myungsoo and Jina are childhood friend, but they never knew that the two friends are growing their feeling towards each other.
It was only the matter of time when the two of them became really close and met the other girls. In exhange, Gaeul introduced her childhood friend who happened to be their senior by a two years to her friends. Yeah, it was Gaeul who introduced Myungsoo to Jina. The girls knew Myungsoo and Jina are childhood friend, but they never knew that the two friends are growing their feeling towards each other.
And they graduated high school. The rest of the girl decided to go to college but Gaeul decided to pursue her career as a model that she already started when she moved back to Seoul. Thanks to her hard work while in high school, she was chosen by her agency to get a chance to learn modelling in Japan for 6 months. She was almost 18 back then. She came back to Korea as a professional model and have been active in both country.

As children,they made a lot of childish promises. But the only one they remembered until now is the promise they met in a huge aquarium. He was 12 and she was 10 back then. In the very young age, Myungsoo discovered his passion with pictures and image. He owned his first camera for his 12 birthday and went to celebrate it with his family and Gaeul's family in a aquarium. That was where they made another childish promise. Myungsoo promised that he someday will become a professional photographer and captured many beautiful pictures for Gaeul. The girl in the other hand promised him she will become beautiful enough so Myungsoo can take her pictures (because Myungsoo said he only want to capture beautiful things).
They were separated when Gaeul's family moved to London. He was 14 back then. Their feeling grew apart. They met again when Gaeul moved back to Korea three years later. The feeling wasn't as strong as kids's feeling. They were teenagers and Myungsoo found more fascinating world with his high school friends. They are still friend though.
Things were slowly changed in Gaeul's second year of high school. Myungsoo was graduated from high school, but still come to the school for his photography club. That was the time Myungsoo started seeing Gaeul as a girl, not a mere childhood friend. She grew more beautiful than ever (because she started her modelling career) and shined between her bffs. Myungsoo and Gaeul slowly grew their feeling toward each other into a romantic one. They met several time in the high school. He also met Gaeul's friends who always stick with her anywhere.
They realised about each other feeling but didn't do anything for that. The unclear relationship continued until a month before Gaeul's graduation. Gaeul went out with her fellow models friend. They were celebrating Gaeul because she was chosen to be the model who went to Japan for a business trip. It was considered as a cool achievement since she was still really young (17 y.o). She got drunk and went home in the morning, skipped her school for a day. Myungsoo noticed about that and came to her apartment. He got mad when he saw her, still a little bit drunk. He scolded her all-out. Gaeul got upset and they had a fight because of that. The fight ended with Myungsoo got out from her apartment madly and they didn't talk to each other. Myungsoo didn't even come to Gaeul's graduation, they stopped talking while Gaeul was in Japan.
Gaeul missed him, but didn't want to show it. She secretly hoping that Myungsoo would feel the same. But that was only in her dream. Because not long after her departure, Jina informed her that she and Myungsoo started to look at each other. The next thing she knew, they are dating.
After a year in Japan, she came back and pretended to be okay with that. They met again, several times, slowly started to see each other with different look. Myungsoo saw the sadness in Gaeul's eyes when he was with Jina, while Gaeul saw Jina as the luckiest girl ever. She was jealous, yes, but Jina is still her beloved friend. She had a hard time to mantain her dilemma.
The rest of the story was to be expected. The two of them realised that they still had something for each other. Jina now seems like a wall between them.

ENDING » They decided to secretly date just six months before Jina's accident. They couldn't bear their feeling anymore and this action probably the best shot they had to keep close to each other. They keep their relationship low from public, from anyone, especially Jina. Their status as childhood friend sometimes helped them when Jina's started to sniff something from them.
After Jina's accident, Gaeul filled with guilt and decided to help Jina remember only the nice things about her and Myungsoo. Although Myungsoo keep telling her that he loves Gaeul more, she keep telling him that Jina needs him more than her.

WHAT IS YOUR SECRET? » I'm keeping too many secrets from her. I never told her about what happened between me and Myungsoo. I never told her that Myungsoo and me shared bittersweet memories. I never told her that I'm deeply in love with him. I still do. My feeling was unbearable, it's driving me crazy enough to betray my closest friend with my childhood friend. Funny, right?
Oh, and I never told her. We've been dating secretly for almost 6 months. Nobody knows, only me, him and God. I never told her that I'm a b*tch who stole her boyfriend and betray her in the name of love.
HOW DID YOU REACT WHEN JINA GOT INTO THE ACCIDENT? » I was in Tokyo when Jina's mom called me and told me what just happened. I was speechless. I called Jiseok-oppa right away, begged him to fly me home immediately. Of course, he didn't let me go because I still had a final runway the next day. But he declined all jobs in Korea when I came back and gave me three days holiday. I flew right away after my last show in Japan only to find Jina was lying unconcious in the hospital.
My heart broken when in the same time I saw him besides her. I know this ridiculous, I know this is madness, but I think I'm jealous. For some random reason, I found myself realising a thing. He never meant for me, well, maybe I had that chance once. But it was a long time ago. Now he belongs to Jina, the closest friend I ever had. And now she need him.
