i dont think that korean culture can influence any other culture. I think that it might influence pop culture in different countries, but it doesn't influence the actual culture. Cultures in countries have been in that country and developed for centuries, and a "hallyu wave" doesn't really change anything- just because we're hyperaware of the Korean pop culture doesn't mean it has changed the culture in our country at all. For example, western countries- gangnam style makes a dent in their popular culture. But it doesn't make people who aren't korean or Asian start doing korean practises that will last for generations to come. For example I'm Chinese- yes, korean makeup trends might be in Chinese popular culture, but that doesn't mean it's actually absorbing into our actual culture- it's just a trend. People who aren't Korean who do try to absorb Korean culture and embody it though- that's ization and yellow-facing, because the reason for why they like the Korean culture and want to show it when they're not korean is not very good. Hope this helps!

Well, I am Korean so I can't exactly say much about this ^_^" I mean, I was born and raised in Australia and my whole family from both side are Korean and therefore live with a mainly Aussie style and partly Korean style life... so yeah...
