Fifty Percent True: The Pick-Me-Up
Description
The third and final installment in the Percent True Series, following Mark and Jinyoung and the rest of GOT7 as they make adjustments in their lives to better accomodate their new resident couple.
Foreword
Thirty Percent True was originally intended to be a fluff-fic about the innocence of falling in love, the excitement towards everything from the first kiss to the first cuddle. The emotional aspect was more of a mere necessity, though in the end it became something I wanted to explore further. Eventually, there wasn’t enough room to write in the planned number of chapters, and so the planned happy ending gave way to a brewing storm. It was clunky at best, but it set up for a sequel.
The stakes raised in Dog Days involved maturity, about overcoming a dry season of doubt (hence, the title). The legal investigation was an important part, though I always wanted the emotional journey to take center stage. Which is why if you discount the epilogue, the story ends with the confrontation at the airport.
The Pick-Me-Up is what happens after Mark and Jinyoung return to Seoul, how they adjust to dorm life and work schedules, now that they’re ‘out’ to the group. At the same time, it’s also about how the rest of GOT7 accommodates their resident couple, and finds new ways to keep everyone safe and happy.
In other words, this is a story about a ‘family’ – one that’s incredibly weird and quirky. It’s boisterous and unpredictable. It’s far from perfect. Though, hopefully, it’ll work out.

I’d like to dedicate this to the subscribers, to Annie, and to the quirky families -- those bound by blood and by friendship.
