Eunhyuk came to his apartment later that night after he had finished his business at the outside of the town. He put the large box on his table, tear it and laid out the content. Dozens of pack filled with red liquid were put into the refrigerator. Eunhyuk sighed as he put the last pack into it and make a move to enter the living room.

It was a synthetic blood, it wasn’t good as the real blood but it’s better than he have to kill people in order to satisfy his hunger and lust towards blood. Besides, it’ll keep him alive. Eunhyuk lay down on his couch letting out another relief sigh and closed his eyes for a moment. He had just fed and he has nothing to do anyway, so he decided to just sleep. Although for most vampire, the night time were the time a kind like him were active in searching for their prey but Eunhyuk didn’t give a damn as he was too tired driving for hours earlier.

As sleep was ready to take over him, he couldn’t help but to let out a groan when his phone vibrated indicating that someone was calling him. He fished out his phone from his pocket, answer the call without even spare a glance to the caller id. He make a mental note to smack the whoever call him at this hours on the person his head.

“Wh-“

“Hyung! Kangin hyung! P-Please come. S-Save me. Please save me”, Eunhyuk couldn’t help but to open his eyes wide open, cautiously retreat the phone from his ear to look at the caller’s id. Unknown Number. He put back the phone to his ear only to hear the sound of the caller’s breath, panting.

“What?”, Eunhae asked.

“H-Hyung, please hurry and save me. Kangin Hyung, I’m at the abandoned building that we came outside Seoul. P-Please, they’re behind me”.

“Wrong number”, Eunhyuk said flatly and lay down again on his couch. He closed his eyes while massaging his head. He waited for the latter to say something when something caught his attention.

A gunshot makes Eunhyuk immediately opened his eyes and sit on the couch. Groaning and panting could be hear. But then again, Eunhyuk was tired as he had a long day. SO in the end, he disconnected the phone call. He was sure that the latter was safe because he had heard footsteps running which he assumed it belonged to the guy before he shut down the call.

Suddenly, a strong wave of headache came to him and the thought of drinking the synthetic blood are stronger. So he stood up and made his way to the kitchen to drink the blood. He could feel his fangs grow and his eyes burning indicating that it’s changing its colour.

He sighed in content as he throw the empty pack to the rubbish can and lean on the kitchen counter. From afar, anyone could see that Eunhyuk is thinking about something so deep due to the deep frown on his face and the way he hold his chin on one hand.

Eunhyuk couldn’t stop himself from thinking about the boy. He knew he shouldn’t but he couldn’t help it. Something tugged at his heart when he heard the voice. Something he didn’t know of. The voice sounded desperate yet flows sweetly in his ear that he unconsciously longed to hear it again.

He heard gunshot before he ended the call. He had also heard the sound of footsteps, running away from the gunshot and he was certain that the latter was save, for now.

However, for how long?

Eunhyuk feels like he want banged his head on the wall in front of him. He put his head on the wall with both hand caging his head as he slightly yet slowly banged his head. He didn’t even know why he had made the decision, boldly. So now, here he is on one of the rooftop of the abandoned building that the latter had mentioned earlier. He knew this is the right place because there is only one abandoned building outside the town.

Now, he mentally groaned because how the hell was he supposed to find the guy whom he never met? See, that’s the problem right now. He let out a silent sigh of frustration as he looked up to the sky. It’s going to be rain, he thought.

Being a vampire does make himself a very useful person. He has strong sense in smell, good eyesight, has a strong instinct and has supernatural power that allowed him to control wind and fire. Not to forget, he also can summon anything from the Underworld.

So it didn’t take him long enough to locate a bunch of human in the building and wary to the surrounding. There’s no sign of any vampire so well yeah, he wouldn’t need to fight. Even if there is, he is sure that they can’t detect him as he’d taken a liquid – he’d called it as a virus – to allow him to cover his vampire’s scent.

And so, he found himself walking slowly yet carefully and entered the building. He’d moved swiftly and silently so that no one realised his presence. He had hid behind the shadow and watch a bunch of men, holding guns surrounding a guy who was laying barely conscious with blood flows furiously from his head. He winced silently as he saw one of the man who has large build kick the latter hard on his stomach that caused the latter to groan and cough out more blood .

Eunhyuk could tell that the latter on the floor has lost too much blood.

“So, Donghae is your name huh? Officer Donghae?”, the man said, squatting so that he could see Dongae’s face more clearly as he lifted up Donghae’s chin.

Eunhyuk frowned at the statement. Officer? If he is a police man, why would he be alone? Where is this, Kingin? Kangin guy? Eunhyuk widen his eyes as the realisation hit him. Don’t tell me he?

“You do realised that you’re dealing with a bad guy, right? We could kill you here, right now. In fact, that’s what we’re gonna do now”.

“You could have killed me before”. Eunhyuk had lost count on how many he had widened his eyes in that one day. It’s the voice. THE same voice he had heard earlier.

“Decide that having fun first by torturing me?”. Donghae tried to get up by supporting his weigh on his hand but was kicked on his abdomen in return. The kick was strong enough to make him fly from his previous spot.

“You bet that’s right, Officer”. The guy smirked as he raised his gun towards Donghae’’s head. Donghae watched in fear as the gun was pointed toward him and waited for the criminal to pull the trigger but something unexpected had happened.

A flame came out of nowhere separating him from the criminal. Strong wind gushed into the building resulting in a flying broken glass. Donghae watched his surrounding, stunned as he saw one by one the criminal was knocked out to different direction by the strong wind yet the flame around him didn’t died out.

He watched as the criminal who was about to shoot him earlier being lifted up high in the air before the body was thrown to the other side of the building. The wind had slowed down so was the flame that surrounded him.

He watched as a man in black silhouette came out from the corner of the room. He watched as the figure walked slowly toward him. He watched and waited in anticipation but he didn’t know why his head suddenly felt heavy and his eyelids are failing him. He could feel his head hurts and the world around him are spinning around him as if he is the sun. He watched as the man slowly approached him before his world turned into total blackness.

Eunhyuk swiftly caught Donghae’s body before he hit the ground. He lifted the body and carried him in bridal style as he makes his way out of the room. The sound of the police sirens slowly could be heard. He watched the boy that is sleeping in his arm. Yes, he casted spells so that the boy would sleep more like fainted.

He couldn’t explain why he had saved the boy. As a vampire, it was his kind nature to ignore something like this unless it involved the people they knew. But this guy in his arm is unrelated to him yet here he was, carrying the fainted boy. He didn’t know what but something about this boy makes him feels something he never felt before. Something strong yet he didn’t know what was making him feel restless. His head and his heart were screaming at the same time to save the guy.

He was about to ignored his heart’s desire but he realised that he actually wanted to hear the voice again. Desperate yet flows sweetly in his ear.

“This is going to be a long day”, Eunhae muttered but he couldn’t help but to smile when he saw the boy in his arm was talking in his sleep.

“I knew it was a mistake to save you that night”, Eunhyuk couldn’t help but to let out a frustrated sigh. He yelped in pain when Donghae had smacked his head, hard enough for his almost hit the table in front of him.

“Don’t say like that! Gee, you’re such a baby”, Donghae gave him mehrong.

“What a pain in my ”, Eunhyuk muttered.

Month after he had saved Donghae’s , he didn’t expect for the latter to found him. He was shocked to find the latter standing in front of the door with all those killing smile on his face. He wouldn’t want to admit that he is happy to see him again but what he was doing in front of his apartment early in morning where a vampire like him would sleep in the daylight. Oh, and how did he managed to find his address? He didn’t want to know knowing that being an officer has a lot of connection and technology that it would be easier to locate him.

He was about to slam the door in front of the latter’s face and turned around when suddenly the latter kicked his door with a strong force. Eunhyuk watched his door in wide eyes as he realised what had happened. He looked up only to see the latter was grinning like an idiot and scratched behind his neck.

“The hell you do that?”, Eunhyuk hissed.

Suddenly, the wall looks good enough for him to smash Donghae’s head.

“Reflex”, the guy answered. “May I come in?”.

Donghae didn’t wait for Eunhyuk’s answer as he had entered the house as if the house was belonged to him but was pulled back harshly by Eunhyuk.

“What are you doing here?”, Eunhyuk gritted his word through his clenched teeth. He had pinned Donghae to the wall and his face were only inches away from Donghae. Donghae could feel heat had risen up to his face, not to forget to the south also.

Realising this, Donghae pried off Eunhyuk’s hand and free himself from Eunhyuk’s intense gaze. He walked towards the living room and acted as if nothing had happened though he knew his heart was beating like crazy.

Eunhyuk also could feel heat had risen up to his face and to the south. He shook off his head trying to throw the dirty thoughts away. He watched as Donghae scanned his living room.

“Don’t you have work today, Officer Donghae?”, Eunhyuk teased. Donghae turned his back to face the latter and give him a squint.

“No, my boss decided to give me a 2 weeks off due to my condition since I was hospitalised and was almost died if not for someone who came to save me”. Eunhyuk knew that Donghae knew he was the one who saved him.

“Oh, you must be lucky then”, Eunhyuk smirked.

“I am”, Donghae muttered, slowly.

He looked to his side when his eyes capture a picture of Eunhyuk with his family. He lifted the picture so that the picture is on the same level to his eyes. He put down the picture back deciding not to ask questions about the latter’s family, afraid
