Finally Home With You

The cold wind bit into his face, and Kyungsoo couldn't help but to snuggle into his red knit scarf a little more, shuffling through his bag to find the keys to his home. A full minute passed before he found it, letting out a victorious shout as he pushed the key into the lock. The moment he stepped foot into the apartment, a blast of warm air hit him, and he sighed at the comfort. The smell of food lingered through the air, and Kyungsoo could hear his stomach protesting at how empty it was. "There there my love, I will satisfy you soon," he said as he patted it with care, failing to notice his husband stepping into the hallway.

"Should I be jealous?"

At that Kyungsoo looked up, smiling as he spotted his husband leaning on the wall with his arms crossed, a smirk painted across his face. "I don't think you have anything to worry about, as long as you feed me," he responded, slipping off his shoes and wrapping his arms around Jongin. "Mmm," was all the response he got, and he could feel Jongin resting his chin on the top of his head. They stood like that for a while, taking refuge in each other's arms and the rhythm of their heart beats. Kyungsoo could feel himself drifting off to sleep because Jongin's chest was just so warm and the faint scent of his cologne was so comforting.

"Let's grab you some food before you fall asleep on me baby." Kyungsoo couldn't help but to smile at that, willing himself to move to the kitchen and plop down in a seat. The old wooden table had already been set with plates and utensils, cups of orange juice already filled to the top (how romantic). Jongin continued to move around the kitchen, occasionally dipping his spoon into the pot and tasting the soup, throwing in pinches of salt and who knows what (Kyungsoo was never the cook in the house). He could hear Jongin quietly humming a tune as he swayed his hips back and forth, waiting for the food to finish cooking. As if he could feel Kyungsoo's gaze on him, Jongin turned around, almond eyes looking deep into his own, so full of love and emotions he could never have imagined before. He could literally feel his heart swell with affection, and making his way around the table, he approached his husband, tugging on his belt loops to pull him in for a kiss. They stayed like that for minutes, Jongin occasionally pulling back to pepper Kyungsoo's face with kisses as he laughed, a melody that sang through the air. Promises were murmured in quiet voices, smiles pressed against each other as if they were twenty years old again, and Kyungsoo decided that he wouldn't mind working a job that wore him down to his bones, as long as he could take refuge in Jongin's arms at the end of the day, wrapped in his love for eternity.

a/n: hello all! i have returned again. here's a small story, i just thought about the fact that Kyungsoo is usually the "wife" of the household while Jongin works, so I thought I'd switch it around. Enjoy!
