First Incident

“Are you okay?” Sooyoung asked as she sits down beside Yoona.
“Yea..” Yoona did not look up at all. It is clear that she is worrying about Yuri, who is now resting in the infirmary.
“What about Yuri..?”
“She just need some rest. Tired and drained. That’s all..”
“So.. what happened?”
“... By the way.. please don’t tell anyone about the incident... I don’t want any one to look at Yuri with..”
“Yea. I know.. So.. kindly explain..?”
“It probably started when the both of us were seven...”
Yoona is carrying her favourite doll, the doll given to her by her late mother. It was the only thing left for her. So she cherished it a lot. As usual, she was happily skipping around and not watching where she is going. Then trouble started. She accidentally bumped into the leader of the group of bullies from her grade school.
“H.. huh?! Ow..” She exclaimed, as she fell backwards, dropping the doll in her hand. She looked up and saw four figures, looking down at her.
“Oww.. YAH!” screamed the leader of the group. He looked down in order to see who is the one that bumped into him and he immediately recognised the person.
“I.. I’m sorry...” Yoona picked up the doll and hugged it tightly as she apologised with fear.
“Omo.. isn’t this Yoona? And she’s carrying that piece of rag again... Come on.. give it to me..” the leader snatched the doll from Yoona, accidentally tearing it slightly. She is feeling angry and sad, but she did not intend to fight it out with them. She did not wish to make things worse.
“Give it back..” she tries not to show her anger.
“Not going to. Haha!”
“Give it back! It’s important!” Yoona moved forward with her hands reached out high, but she could not reach it. Tears are starting to form. She does not want to lose the only thing that her mother left for her. By accident, she pushed the leader with force. Taking it by surprise, the leader fell down and landed with a thud.
“Ow.. what the... Don’t think that you are a girl and I won’t hit you! Do it boys!”
“But boss, she’s just a girl afterall... and I don’t think she did it on purpose..” one of them tried to stop him.
“What? Are you disobeying me? I say do it!”
“... Yes boss...”
Despite being a girl, Yoona received kicks and punches from the boys. No one is there to stop them. The streets are empty and she did not cry. She does not want to disturb the neighbours. They have their own things to do. Quietly without fighting back, she received each attack. Bruises and cuts were all over her body. Just then, a small figure appeared from around the corner. It is a girl, whose size is the small as Yoona.
“Yoong!? WHAT ARE YOU BOYS DOING?!” the girl cried out. She then started to shout loudly, attracting attention of the neighbours, who appear from behind the doors immediately.
“Che! Here’s your piece of rag!” the leader threw the doll at Yoona. It was torn. Badly. Upon seeing that, those tears that she had been holding in starts to flow out. The boys attempted to run away but failed. The adults caught them easily. The girl ran towards Yoona, with tears flowing uncontrollably from her eyes.
“Yoong! Are you okay?” she supported Yoona’s head with her arm, and the tears did not stop. The injuries were quite bad. Yoona is bleeding.
“Yul..” Yoona called out weakly. It hurts. It hurts a lot. But it hurts her more to see Yuri crying for her. She wanted to help Yuri wipe away her tears, but her hands refuse to listen to her command.
“Dammit... I’m sorry... I’m sorry that I couldn’t protect you...” Yuri hugged the injured girl lightly, being careful not to hurt her, “Even though I’m the older one.. I..”
“Yul.. it’s okay.. See.. I got it back.. Mom’s parting gift for me..” Yoona smiled, moving the doll towards Yuri slowly. Yuri forced a smile, as she looked at the ragged and torn doll. She picked it up and kept it in her bag.
“Silly girl... I swear... I swear that I will protect you in future... No matter what happens.. Yoong.. I promise you.”
It was then Yoona noticed that the Yuri right now is not the one that she knows. Her face is so much darker, and the dark aura makes her uncomfortable. Her eyes are devilish, and are burning fiercely. It is scaring her. This is not Yuri. She did not recognise her. Slowly, she closed her eyes and soon, her conscious is lost. She fainted. While the boys were being caught, some adults approached the twins immediately and carried Yoona away. Yuri tagged behind them closely, not wanting to let Yoona leave her sight anymore. Yoona was brought to the nearest hospital. With the dark aura still emitting from her, Yuri stood by the wall as she looks at her twin sister being pushed into the room for check ups and nursing. Her eyes continues to burn until she finally see her sister again. She was covered in bandage. She was hospitalised for months. Yuri visited her on her second day of hospitalisation. Seohyun is beside her, holding on tightly to her hand. The dark aura is still there. Her smile is not warm at all. It was cold.
“I have taken revenge for you, Yoong. They won’t bully you ever again.” Yuri said it with that smile of hers. Yoona did not understand her. She could not understand. Until the news of the group of boys being beaten up badly came to her, making her understand it immediately. It was scary. Dark Yuri is scary.
