Decision
Shikshin Love
Yoona wanted to talk to Sooyoung, but Yuri keeps on interrupting whenever Sooyoung tries to talk to her, or whenever she tries to talk to Sooyoung. Each day, she looks forward to going to school to see Sooyoung, to talk with Sooyoung, but each day, she could not do a single thing because of Yuri. Even though she is so near to her, it was as though there was a steel wall in between them, preventing them from interacting. Finally, Yoona could not take it any longer. She knew that Yuri was doing it on purpose but she does not know why.
"Yul... Why are you preventing from getting close to or talking to Youngie..?" Yoona asked, as the two of them walked down the streets. Seohyun was not with them, since she got a date with Yonghwa.
"It's nothing." Yuri replied.
"Did something happen between the two of you?"
"... Why are you so anxious? She's just a friend, isn't she? You can get loads of friends in this school.." Yuri bellowed, stopping suddenly.
"...Yul...? Why are you angry..? I didn't..." Yoona stopped immediately and turns around, surprised by Yuri's reaction to her question.
"Yoong, I'm not going to let you get into that kind of relationship that Fany and Sica have, okay?"
"When did..."
"And I will help you clear off every single bit of things that might lead you to that. That includes banning interaction with some people."
"But Yul..."
"That's it. Say no more. I made my stand so please, trust me. Trust my action. It's all for your own good."
"... Okay..." Yoona replied, trying to make herself sound a little more cheerful. She was upset and disappointed. And most importantly, her heart is hurting but she does not know why. But she does know that, right now, she wanted to see someone. She wants to see Sooyoung.
"Mum, I'm home." She walks into the kitchen and greeted the middle-age woman.
"Oh? How's your performance?" The middle-age woman asked, turning around to give her daughter a smile.
"It's a success.."
"That's great! Go take a rest while I prepare the dinner."
The tall girl nodded and walked away. Should I tell mum? She stopped at the foot of the staircase, and looked into the kitchen, where her mum was busy with the preparation of their dinner. She lets out a deep breath, and enters the kitchen once again. "Mum?"
"Yea?" Her mum stopped her hands immediately.
"Can I talk to you for a while?"
"Sure. Come, take a seat." And she pulls a chair over to sit down, while signaling to her daughter to do the same. Sooyoung looked at her mother's eyes for a moment, and soon, for no reason, her tears start to form. She confessed to her mother about her feelings towards Yoona, and tell her every single detail of everything that is happening recently. Her mother, though shocked by the sudden and weird confession by her daughter, kept quiet and listen to her daughter, waiting for her to finish.
"So... you... like a girl?" She asked, when Sooyoung finally stopped to wipe her tears away.
"I... I don't know... But I think I really do, mum.. I.. I don't know what should I do..." Sooyoung keeps on wiping the tears away from her eyes but it keeps on flowing. It just refuses to stop.
"What's wrong with you..? Did I overdid it by trying raise you as a boy?" She could not believe that her daughter is actually like this, liking a girl instead of a guy.
"No mum... that's not the reason... the reason is this.." Sooyoung placed her palm on her chest.
"Are you serious?"
"I... I'm sorry, Mum... I can't help it... My feelings... I can't control it any longer..."
".... Did she say anything?"
"I didn't tell her.. Her sister.. did warn me about this... but I can't control my feelings... Now I can't even get close to her.. It hurts, Mum... My heart... It really hurts a lot.." The tears are flowing profusely, refusing to stop any sooner. Sooyoung looked down at the floor, not wanting to look at her mother's face. She knows that her mother must be disappointed in her.
"Aigoo... my poor daughter... why did it turn out like this...?" Her mother leans towards her, hugging her tightly while patting her gently on her head.
"I'm sorry, Mum... I'm sorry..." Sooyoung continues to cry in her mother's embrace. They remained in the same position for nearly five minutes, before her mother suddenly thought of something.
"How about you leave this country? And try to forget about her?" Her mother asked, pulling away from the hug.
"... Serious...?" The crying has stopped, and Sooyoung is wiping the remaining tears that is on her face away.
"Your sister is going to Japan soon. I can arrange it for you to go with her.."
"When will it.."
"Probably half a month later."
"... I will consider.."
"Okay... Go on. Go have some rest before dinner. Tell me your decision soon."
"Okay.. thanks Mum." Sooyoung stood up and walked out of the kitchen, up the stairs and into her own room. She locked the door and lies on her bed, thinking about her mother's suggestion. It's probably the only and the best way to solve this problem...
"It's okay, Sunny. I don't want anything." Sooyoung said, when Sunny brings her the first thing on the list.
"Oh. Okay." Sunny replied, returning to her position behind the counter.
"By the way... Just to inform you... I'm going to leave..."
"Oh okay. Bye."
"I mean leave this country...."
"What?! You decided to leave?!" Sunny exclaimed, loudly, alerting all the customers in the cafe.
"Keep it down! Are you trying to announce it to the whole world?" Sooyoung covered Sunny's mouth quickly.
"But why?" Sunny pulls Sooyoung's hand away from . "You haven't even.."
"It's because of that... I have to stop this ridiculous thing..."
"What about Yoona?"
"I say it before... It's all one-sided." Sooyoung looked at the cup of coffee in front of her. Her expression tells Sunny that she was really upset.
"How did you know if you never even try confessing before?"
"It's enough, Sunny.. I really didn't want to ruin the relationship between me and her."
"Are you stupid?"
"Maybe I am..."
".... So... When are you leaving?"
"In one week time. My luggage is ready and my mum will inform the school about it after I left for Japan."
"Did you tell her?"
"... No.."
"Why are you doing this to yourself?"
"This is the best solution. It would all be solved if I leave.."
Sunny stared at the tall girl, who is looking out of the window. The both of them kept quiet and Sunny literally ignored everything that going on in the cafe, leaving all the work to her colleagues.
"Hi Bunny~" A short girl enters the cafe, greeting Sunny as she did so. She soon realises that the atmosphere around here is not good. "What's with the atmosphere..?"
"Hi Taengoo.." Sunny greeted back, not smiling at all.
"Did something happen..?"
"She is going to leave Korea in one week time..."
"What?! To where?! And why!?" Taeyeon exclaimed, attracting all the attention of everyone in the cafe.
"Japan. To hide away from reality. To hide her feelings. To.." Sunny replied, but before she could finish her sentence, Sooyoung stood up and interrupted, "I'm going.."
"Aren't you going to eat?" Sunny asked.
"I have no appetite... Bye.." Sooyoung walked towards the door and went out. Soon, she disappeared down the streets.
"This is serious... The shikshin has no appetite and is not eating..." Sunny continues to stare at the door.
"Did Yoona know about.." Taeyeon asked, shifting her attention from the door to her girlfriend.
"No. She did not tell anyone else..."
"What is she thinking..."
"Yul... Why are you preventing from getting close to or talking to Youngie..?" Yoona asked, as the two of them walked down the streets. Seohyun was not with them, since she got a date with Yonghwa.
"It's nothing." Yuri replied.
"Did something happen between the two of you?"
"... Why are you so anxious? She's just a friend, isn't she? You can get loads of friends in this school.." Yuri bellowed, stopping suddenly.

The tall girl dragged her body back home. It has been weeks since she last interacted with Yoona, and she is dying to do so. Even though her friends and family are all around her, talking to her daily, interacting with her daily, she still felt a sense of loneliness in her heart. It was as though someone had stolen something from it, making it empty. Slowly, she placed her hand on the handle and push it down, opening the door and walking into the house."Mum, I'm home." She walks into the kitchen and greeted the middle-age woman.
"Oh? How's your performance?" The middle-age woman asked, turning around to give her daughter a smile.
"It's a success.."
"That's great! Go take a rest while I prepare the dinner."

"Okay.. thanks Mum." Sooyoung stood up and walked out of the kitchen, up the stairs and into her own room. She locked the door and lies on her bed, thinking about her mother's suggestion. It's probably the only and the best way to solve this problem...

Sooyoung walks into the cafe and sat at her usual seat. Seeing her friend, Sunny starts to prepare her usual order without a word."It's okay, Sunny. I don't want anything." Sooyoung said, when Sunny brings her the first thing on the list.
