Paper heart, Jiwon has a paper heart.

It does not pumps blood to his veins, for it is dead. Howbeit when his black orbs lay upon the one in the million, a fire ignites at it's tail. The onset of his new life is announced when the once frozen crimson red is thawing, steadily. They are soon flowing and he feels, somewhat alive. His fangs elongating as he thinks about his soulmate. A mop of jet-black hair in a healthy shine, a set of lazy eyes as sharp as daggers, a perfect pointy nose that he would not bear to break, a pair of sinful lips that will spurt hurtful words carelessly and chiseled jaws sculpted by God's very hands. The urge of wanting to tear skin and to sink his predatory sharp fangs down the layers of tissue, is overpowering. He needs his soulmate's blood in his system, he just do. The need is almost unbearable, it rips through Jiwon a numerous of time for him to be able of containing back the unknown hunger. When his lids were fluttering and his head was lolling backwards, an innocent live was bound to be sacrificed.    Bloodlust, it is called.    But Jiwon is no longer a puppet of it, anymore. He has mastered the art of controlling. He is all good until the appearance of Goo Junhoe. He used to go on a full killing spree at the start; Cornering, capturing and . But also thanks to the appearance of Goo Junhoe, he cut down to just one unfortunate. Who knows, maybe if the other has the knowledge of that Jiwon is trying so hard on restraining himself, he will fall in love like how Jiwon is with him.   There were days when Jiwon's mind went completely blank and was invaded by a certain darkness. There were days when Jiwon woke up from his trance and stop cutting off the other's air supply in a nick of time. There were days when Jiwon did not know how he had ended up in Junhoe's room. There were those days, of course.   Like right now.   Thin and slender fingers of shadow closes it's claws on Junhoe's throat. He is choking in his dream (or so, he thought). Something is out there to get him, he knows. Every time he felt like he is on the edge of death that could be easily succeeded with a small push, he get pulled back to the starting point when those hands retreated. It is a torture really, it truly is. A sheen of sweat covers Junhoe's skin, he is shaking. There is it again, suffocating his very soul. He can't breathe. He can't resist it, either. There is a weight pinning him down, keeping him in place. All in all, there is really nothing he can do to save himself.    Damnit, not again. Jiwon snaps out of it, removing his hands from Junhoe's throat, instantly. The only theory he can come up with for these continuous nights of stupor, is that he is physically too far from Junhoe. Adding up to that, it has been a year since he found his soulmate and he still has not tie the red strings of fate yet. It is only then, he has come in terms that, maybe it is time to make his move. Obviously, keeping a watch on the other is going nowhere. Jiwon watches Junhoe fidget uncomfortably in his sleep. There is an odd clench on his heart. It is slightly crumpled however, the flame does not die. Jiwon knows that he is the sole reason to the other's loss of sleep. Yet, to put it clearly, this is the small price Junhoe has to pay. Jiwon could have done things his way with such ease, but he decided not to. After all, he do want Junhoe's permission to do so.    "Goodnight, Junhoe ah. Sleep well," Jiwon whispers, before placing a fond kiss on the other's forehead. "I will see you soon." Just the thought of being able to finally show himself in front of the other boy, has the adrenaline running in all his, well, dead blood cells. Will Junhoe feel the connection immediately? Or will Junhoe shut him out there and then? He smirks, we will just see about that.   The moment he detaches himself from the still unconscious boy, the dull pounding of headache is coming back at full force. Jiwon groans while rubbing his temples, in attempt to soothe the ringing alarm in his ears. Like every single time, it is fruitless. Jiwon looks at Junhoe one last time, before becoming one with the gloominess and slithers back up on the tree nearby. Specks of sliver and white dotted the sky, majestically. Jiwon used to fall asleep while gazing at the blanket of stars. Now? He falls asleep to the sound of Junhoe's (frantic) heartbeats.   When the morning comes, Junhoe jolts up from his bed, terrified out of his mind by the nightmare from last night. Junhoe fist the bedsheets tightly, fear still pricking at his skin. Fragments of memory slowly unfold itself in two shakes of a lamb's tail. "It is all a dream, it is all a dream." He chants lowly, voice still thick with sleep, in hope to relieve himself from the bruising grip of the devil. But a devil is no devil if he let his slave break free without a hitch. He falls back on the bed, still thinking about those cold hands, in daze. Strangely enough though, Junhoe feels somewhat complete when the nightmare visits him on a regular basis. You know when you find something that you don't remember having? Yeah. Something like that.   On every Saturday, Junhoe makes it a point to do absolutely nothing. In short, lazy day. Homework? That (crap) can wait. Friends? Well, they all knew about this day of-   There is a knock on the door. Two three four.   "I'm coming! Goddamnit." Junhoe yells at the top of his lungs, annoyance oozing out his pores. Because it is Saturday, a freaking Saturday, for goodness sake. He swears, if it is his friends or even the delivery man, he will murder them with his bare hands.    Who knows the person that lies beyond this door, will be his future.    Of big bright smile and sparkling eyes, the boy is surreally attractive. Junhoe has seen a handful of handsome guys before. But this boy in front of him? Disheveled hair, pale complexion and y grin. He has quite great a physique too. Tall and toned. His muscles hidden underneath the thin cotton t-shirt are bulging from the weight of the luggages. Wait, luggages? "Do I... Know you?" Junhoe asked, hands digging into his sweatpants' pockets. He gives the other a stink-eye, because what the hell is he smiling about? Okay fine, Junhoe bet he looks like a piece of right now. It is not his fault though.    Jiwon squeezes himself through the tiny doorframe, body coming close in contact with Junhoe's. The other does not flinch an inch, because what can this mysterious yet strangely alluring boy do to him. Junhoe obviously has no idea. They hold the stare strong, but the side effects make it unworthy. Jiwon's canines are protruding in his mouth, ready to bite down on its prey. Junhoe has a kaleidoscope of naughty butterflies in his stomach. No. Jiwon makes a sound at the back of his throat, raw and rolling. He shut his eyes, willing the desire away.   He throw his luggages somewhere at the narrow living room before sprinting off to the younger's bedroom. "The ? Get off my bed!" Junhoe roars, irritation at it's best. Jiwon knows that Junhoe is hot on his heels, because the younger does not exactly walk that soft. More like storm.    Jiwon burrows his face deeper into the pillow, a familiar scent seizing his sense of smell. Sometimes, he wishes that he is not a vampire. A small sigh escapes from him as he props himself up with an elbow, "You have to deal with that yourself from now onwards," There is a mischievous glint in his eyes and... Junhoe wants to kiss him? What the . "And no, you don't know me. But you will, because I'm your new roommate." What comes next is totally unexpected and out of Junhoe's control. Because Jiwon is so near to him in a blink of eye. Jiwon pushes his lips full against Junhoe's rather luscious one, "I'm Kim Jiwon.Very please to meet you." And that smugness hanging in the air, it is suffocating. Junhoe has to do something about it, anything will do. His brain went short-circuit and it seems like, Jiwon has switched off his common sense as well. Due to the fact that he can't think straight, Junhoe let his body do the work. The younger closes the distance between them once more and kisses Jiwon, instinctively. Jiwon is taken aback by Junhoe's sudden response, but he enjoys the more aggressive kiss, nonetheless.   "What just happened," A thick coat of venom painted his every word. Junhoe pushes the other away with his hands on Jiwon's chests, stumbling backwards with molten legs to the wall behind him for support. "How dare you." Junhoe spat, wiping his lips harshly as if he is disgusted.   I see. The loose ends of bond are a two-ways street. Jiwon walks to Junhoe with his head up high, arrogant with his newfound information. At least now he knows, he is not the only one suffering. Jiwon runs the tip of his tongue along his lips, savoring the taste of the other. "I know you wanted it." Jiwon said in a matter-of-fact tone along with a stupid lopsided grin. Junhoe directs him a nasty look.    When Jiwon does not take the hint, Junhoe pulls a fist back, ready to give the other a piece of his mind. As if Jiwon has guess what is coming and not a least bit afraid, he continues to step forward. "Are you gonna hit me?" He challenged, like he has an ace in the hole. Well, he think he does. The invisible attraction of north and south poles is there. If Junhoe really does throw a punch, he will accept it with open arms. After all, how painful can the strength of a human being hurt him? Apparently, strong enough for him to have a sore jaw. "Touch me again and I swear, I will kill you." Junhoe warns, letting out a breath he does not know he is holding.    Saturday morning ruined.   "Kim Jiwon... You better watch out." Junhoe mutters under his breath, stomping out of his now shared bedroom in a fit of anger. But Jiwon hears it alright, thanks to his heightened sense of hearing.   To be honest, Jiwon likes it when Junhoe was being pushed to the limit like this. He likes it when he is the only one that has seen it, because Junhoe is always keeping his cool despite how bad things can be. Apparently, he pressed the right button. Yes, being punched was definitely not in the plan. Especially, during their first meeting. Jiwon can't change anything, it happened. We can restart clock, but we can't rewind time. He does not even regret, for Junhoe tasted like raspberry and red light.    He wants more.   Jiwon's ears twitch, Junhoe is putting on his sneakers and leaving. "Where are you going?" He asked, quickly slipping into his shoes and tail behind the other boy. Junhoe hisses back in reply, "Where I am going, is none of your business." Jiwon then grabs the hot-tempered boy's left hand with his right and interlocks them together. He knows he is taking things too fast with his unstoppable pace, but he can't help it. Not when he has all the attention from Junhoe. "What are you doing?" Junhoe is fuming, what is with this guy, seriously. At the same time, Junhoe does not know if he is angry or shy. Despite the resist, Jiwon does not give in. Jiwon sticks a tongue out after he teases, "What I do, is none of your business too."   "Enough with your nonsense!" Junhoe struggles to break free, but he does not give Jiwon his famous glare. He does not have the time to, for he needs to get to the bottom of this issue. There is a chill down his spine, because Jiwon's hand is icy cold. Junhoe pushes his hair back in frustration with his free hand and the other going completely limp in Jiwon's powerful clutch, because  it. Jiwon chuckles at his juvenile victory.    Once they reaches the general office at the void of the dorm area, Junhoe saves no time to enquire about the unanticipated arrival of his new roommate. If he remembered correctly, he requested for a single room. And in his memory, it is. He only has one bed, for 's sake. "Good morning, miss. This guy here, Kim Jiwon-" Junhoe raises his left hand, indicating to the one clinging to him. "Is my new roommate? There has to be some mistakes." When the lady behind the counter shakes her head and gives Junhoe a firm yet dreamy 'no', he realizes that he is doomed.   Official  my life day, a beautiful tick on Junhoe's calendar. Now, everyday (including his favorite Saturday) will be and shall be ruin. There is no doubt to this.   x   The first time the bad dream stops chasing Junhoe's peace away, he sleeps like a baby. Little did he know, he is actually sleeping beside nightmare itself.   Instead of sharing the super single bed, Junhoe made it very clear-cut about his opinion. No means no. But Jiwon like to bend rules. He do what deems fit, as long as he don't get caught. So far so good, he is still safe. When the night falls and the stars begin to sing, Jiwon spoons Junhoe into his arms. Jiwon never felt so human. He desperately wants to let Junhoe know his true identity. He is not just another boy, obsessed with him. He is something more, so much more that he is certain, his paper heart will burn to crisp and turn into ash if Junhoe refuses to accept the story that destiny has written for them.

It is no lie that destiny brought them together. As clinch as it sounds, they were meant to be. It does not matter how long it takes (provided if Jiwon can endure through all the bloodlust), as long as they do not alter the ending.

Jiwon nuzzles his cheek against the plane of Junhoe's back, worries building and burdens piling. There is no other way to this. "Tell me what to do, Junhoe. Tell me," Jiwon's eyes are shining in the dark, slowly losing focus. "Please..." He needs to go, before things get ugly. Just as he is about to leave, a hand on his wrist stops him from doing so. Akin to being anchored to the ground, he waits. "Don't go." Junhoe pleas in his sleep, face making a troubled expression.

I need to get out of here, fast. Jiwon's head is spinning, like he is on drugs. Except the very fact that he is indeed addicted to Junhoe. The whole caboodle of Junhoe in entirety, not forgetting the little things. Jiwon does not want sweet maiden's blood, he craves for bitter but fulfilling ones instead. Possibly only something Junhoe can give. The glow in his eyes intensified. A snap of wrist, he zooms out of the room like an arrow from a bow. He leaves with a handprint on his wrist, giving him something to remember. Maybe it is the bonds playing a part. Maybe it is just meaningless letters being formed altogether. It does not matter, not even the slightest, because Jiwon sees a ray of hope; Junhoe might wants him too.
It has been a week or two since Jiwon moved in. He is dealing with things better than he had expected. The hardest task is having a conversation with Junhoe. The younger shoots him down immediately. He tried, but the younger boy has a tough shell to crack, he is constantly on guard. Jiwon noticed, Junhoe have friends from all walks of life. But there is this particular friend that Jiwon despise, in the shallow light of truth that, Junhoe only smiles at him. Junhoe is a miser when it comes to expressing himself, yet, he is so willing to be himself when he is with Kim Hanbin. Jiwon wants to be that person Junhoe can rely on. Jiwon wants to be that person Junhoe can share things with. Jiwon wants to be that person Junhoe can find him irreplaceable as. He wants, but he can't. He wonder if Hanbin is that kind of figure to Junhoe or not, he is crossing his fingers on that.

Jiwon throws an arm over his eyes. The wind howls. It is like lullaby in his ears. Hunger is scratching the walls of his stomach. He is hungry for blood. Or maybe because he has prolonged the process for too long. He can't tell. Monster within is resurfacing in no time. When it is fully unleash, with no obstruction of any, there is no Jiwon. He sees a potential prey and just end it. The feeling of thick rich metallic liquid flowing out from a human being, straight into his mouth and down his throat, is beyond description. Then as the phrase pass, everything went back to normal. The monster is satisfied with the kill. It tames the wild side of him. For a while.

Jiwon slides down the wall, completely boneless. Nowadays, each kill only last a couple of days, much to his displeasure. Sometimes at most week, if he is lucky. Jiwon drags a sigh, in sort of a drowsy state and with bloody lips. "Junhoe Junhoe Junhoe..." Jiwon wants more than just tying their fate together. He wants Junhoe to love him too. Jiwon cowers on the ground, he bring his legs close to his chest. Falling asleep on a dirty alley filled with rats and rubbish is not the best choice. It is neither the worst. It weighs a perfect zero to him at the moment. He has more important things to care about, rather than where he will be sleeping tonight. And to be honest, Jiwon does not know his way back to the place. He is tired and if he were to overwork his brain now, it is commiting suicide. Yeah, he can't die two times. Let's just say, eternal suffering then. Slight exaggeration, slight exaggeration. The what-ifs are swimming in his head, but Jiwon is not one to care. He never did.
Blinking once, twice and the sun is rising.   They say, vampires will be in much agony if the sun ever hits them. They will literally melt under it. Vampires can never see the daylight. It is a myth. Vampires were no different from the humans, apart from the fact that they feed on people's lifespan.

An alarm clock rings, making it's life mission to disturb Junhoe's beauty sleep. Junhoe groans, he does not have such a good sleep for so long. He flings a pillow at it's direction. Bullseye.   There are no house-shaking snores today. Sitting by the bed with eyes still closed, Junhoe launches a foot forward. Instead of hearing that babyish whine, there is nothing. Junhoe kicks empty air rather than Jiwon himself. "Hmm?" Junhoes tries to rub the sleep haze out of his eyes, so that his vision and mind will clear up. The thin red string stretches. Where is he. Then snooze rings next. Junhoe taps the button on his iPhone's screen at once. When a gust of wind washes over his shoulders, it left him wondering. Since when did I open the windows? Junhoe leaves the comfort of his bed, reluctantly.

Going to school is such a chore. Junhoe is taking his own sweet time with the morning routine. Running late is nothing out of the ordinary for him, ever since he entered senior year. He throws on whatever, paying no attention to what he is wearing. He bet he will still look good, people just got to it up. He does not bother to style his hair either. Junhoe likes that 'fresh-out-of-bed' look, if you have not noticed. Generally, he is a lazy person. A very effortless charmer.

However, unlike the usual, Junhoe is going out of his way. He does not walk pass the snack store owned by a friendly aunty, because he is searching high and low for someone. There is a sharp pang of something he will not call 'worry' in his heart. "I can't believe I'm doing this." For someone I have only known for weeks. He does not say out the rest, he feels better leaving it unsaid.

Birds are chipping and the sky is still dark, the hunting went on for another hour or so. Until Junhoe spots a guy crouching at the back of a run-down building. He resembles like Jiwon. Despite hidden face and the lack of light, Junhoe is sure that the guy is Jiwon.

"C'mon you, get up. I'm bringing you home." Junhoe squats down, hoping to catch eyes of the other boy. He robs air however, fading out the red stains. Jiwon does not know how long he have been sitting there. When Junhoe lock lips with him, he is intoxicated. He reckons, no amount of blood can ever win over his soulmate's simple touch. Jiwon's fingertips tend to leave a burning path behind. Junhoe finds it bearable, the desire of wanting Jiwon to dig fingers into his skin, rather than light teasing touches. The older leans forward, forcing himself onto Junhoe. In all honesty, the younger does not mind. Jiwon part his lips ever so slightly, playful tongue darting out. It takes time for Junhoe to react, because he has no intention of kissing Jiwon in the first place. It comes... Naturally. Junhoe hooks an index finger under Jiwon's chin, in order to deepen their moment of passion. A corner of Jiwon's lips lift up by degrees, smirking devilishly. Only when the older on his tongue, the fog thins out. Junhoe is about to step away, probably falling on his as he scrambles away in the process, Jiwon cross his legs and with a forward pull, Junhoe falls into his laps instead.

Junhoe freezes. No one has such control over him before. When he says one, nobody dares to say two. Going against him, does them no good. Especially when he is on top of the popularity pyramid and food chain in school. But this time round, finding someone as dominant as him, is amusing and also arousing. "Thanks for coming to find me." Jiwon blows hot breath over Junhoe's cheek and he holds him by the waist. Regardless of his face tinted in a bright pink hue, Junhoe snorts. Ridiculous. "Too full of yourself eh? Who says anything about looking for you. Don't just jump into conclusions like this, you'll drown."   Jiwon is smiling so widely, his face is spliting into two. He is not buying Junhoe's snarky response, but he is not pressing on it either. "Oh?" Jiwon replies half-heartedly, brushing off the sass like they were invisible dusts on his shoulders. Jiwon touches his forehead with Junhoe's, contentment setting in. He wants to take things up a notch, but with Junhoe's panicking heart beating twice as fast as his wittiness, he comes to a halt. "I'm not gonna hurt you," Jiwon almost lost himself in Junhoe's enigmatic stare, up till, the younger stands up and has his head hanging low. Jiwon follows suit, "I really won't." For some reasons, it sounds promising.

But Junhoe is so... Scared. The stairs he climbed all the way up to the top, were annihilated. Most people are dying to see his great fall. He can't just yet. Not when he is still rising. It proves difficult thanks to a certain overly-attached (and hell yeah attractive) roommate of his. Kim ing Jiwon.   "Look, I stumbled upon you by pure luck. You hear me?" Junhoe tries to be convincing. Jiwon shrugs indifferenly, not taking Junhoe's words to heart. After all, it is not true. Junhoe roll his eyes, recovering from his embarrassment. He begin walking in the direction of school, which is the opposite. "Here, wear this," He throws his coat to Jiwon, who catches it in one swift motion. "And go home. You can't go to school like this. You looked hideous, drop dead awful even."    Jiwon is not cold. Vampires are cold-blooded creatures. He wears the coat, nonetheless, because it has Junhoe's scent all over.

"Won't you miss my presence though?" Jiwon asked, cheekily. Junhoe decides to ignore the not so subtle flirting (if it is counted as) and replied a tad later, "We will pass by the dormitory. Follow my lead and please- stay home."   From the way Junhoe figures it, a half-day off from Jiwon, will be extremely delightful. He needs to tell Hanbin something anyway. He does not know what Jiwon will do and that is the horror. You see, if we don't know a person well enough, we don't know how they will react to some situations. That over dramatic boy will probably try to j
