It was a bright, sunny day. The warm rays of the sun hit Youngji's face, making her scrunch her nose and wake up. She stretched her arms and sat up on her bed, glancing at her calendar by her side table as she did. She smiled when she figured out that today was going to be her first day as a high school senior in the finest arts academy in Korea.

Youngji is taking up music at the arts academy mentioned. Ever since she was just a little girl, her mother had seen her potential of being a singer. Youngji has a lot of childhood pictures of her holding the microphone and videos of her singing to random songs she hears. When she grew up, she knew that singing was her passion and that she wanted to be a singer. Her mother supported her on that decision of hers, of course, and Youngji never failed her mother. She was quite popular in the academy because of her intelligence. She would always ace all the exams that would be given and every time the academy would hold a talent contest, she would always reign. She nver failed to make her mother proud, but even after all the achievements she got, she still remained humble.

Youngji's father died when she was a little kid. Like her mother, her father also supported Youngji with her dream of being a great singer. Her father is also Youngji's reason for working hard to be the top of her classes. After three years, her mother decided to remarry. The man her mother married had a son of his own - a son two years older than Youngji. His name is Dongwook, and Youngji couldn't help but feel lucky to have such a caring and loving stepbrother like him.

That morning, Youngji immediately went down the stairs after her bath and after wearing her newly groomed uniform. She smiled wen she saw that her mother, stepfather, and Dongwook were already by the dining table, waiting for her so they could start eating breakfast. As soon as Youngji sat down, she heard a compliment from Dongwook.

"Wow, Youngji-ah, you look good with the uniform," he said with a nod of his head. Dongwook is now a college student, and he studies at the same academy Youngji does. He takes up acting, but because he's already in college, he takes his classes on the other building, just adjacent to Youngji's.

Youngji laughed shyly at her brother's compliment. "Thank you, oppa. You look pretty good too! You look really decent in that uniform," Youngji nodded her head as well as she glanced at Dongwook, grinning.

Their parents couldn't help but smile at the both of them as they ate. Anyone who would see them would say that they're the perfect family, and Youngji thinks the same. She's very happy with the family she has now and she couldn't ask for anything more.

On the other side of the neighborhood, just a few blocks away from Youngji's house, breakfast was also served on the dining table. The difference is that there weren't any people seated by the dining table.

"Jackson, yah! Are you not waking up?! Do you want me to get up there and drag you down here?!" Jackson's mother yelled in annoyance, her hands on her hips as she stood by the stairs, tapping her foot on the staircase repeatedly. She waited for a few seconds for Jackson to respond but still there was silence.

Jackson was already awake in his room; he just didn't want to go to school that early. He groaned and covered his ears with his pillow, expcting that if he did, his mother's voice wouldn't be that loud, but after doing so he realized that it wasn't much of a help. After a few more minutes he felt someone grabbing his pillow and smacking him with it. "Jackson, I told you to wake up!"

He wanted to go back to sleeping but it was too late. His mother's ear piercing scream now brought him to life. Without a word, he grumpily went to the bathroom and took a bath. He just couldn't handle his mother's yelling any longer.

Jackson didn't even bother eating breakfast with his mom afterwards. After taking a bath, he fixed his hair and wore his cap, got his bag and left without a word. His mother yelled at him again, but that didn't stop him from leaving for school. He decided he would just eat breakfast at the school cafeteria.

There wasn't much people in the cafeteria when Jackson arrived, much to his liking. He bought himself a ham and cheese sandwich along with a cup of cold coffee. He put his earphones on before getting his order and went out of the cafeteria.

Youngji just arrived at school the same time Jackson went out of the cafeteria. She took a quick glance at her watch and bid Dongwook goodbye as she went towards the high school building, when someone suddenly grabbed her by the wrist. If it wasn't for the stranger's gentle grip, she would've screamed by now.

"Wang Jackson," Youngji read the stranger's nametag, furrowing her eyebrows as the unfamiliar name rolled out of her lips.

Jackson only responded with a short "Come with me."

Youngji gasped and tried to get out of Jackson's grip. "What?! Why would I? I don't even know you! Dongwook op-"

"Just this day, please." Jackson interrupted Youngji's words, looking straight into Youngji's eyes, pleading. Youngji gulped and stared back at him, and the next thing she knew, she was getting dragged out of the school premises by this stranger named Jackson Wang.
