“I’m home!” Hoseok called, even though he knew that his apartment was empty. Well, except for Kaoru.

The Siberian greeted his owner at the door, meowing frantically to get his attention. Hoseok scooped the cat up, nuzzling his face in its soft fur,

“Aww Kaoru I missed you too” he mumbled before placing the cat back down on the floor. He quickly scooped some wet food into a bowl for Kaoru before preparing his own dinner. Hoseok sighed to himself,

“Wouldn’t be nice if I had someone else here to cook for? Or to cook for me? Ugh…Kaoru I think I need a boyfriend…” Hoseok said , looking down at the feline that was weaving through his legs. Kaoru gave him a quizzical look and meowed in response. Hoseok sighed again,

‘Jesus I’m talking to my cat…I really need a boyfriend. Maybe I’ll hit up some clubs with Seokjin this weekend’ the brunette thought to himself. It had been a long time since Hoseok had been in a serious relationship and he was starting to get really lonely in his spacious apartment. He adopted Kaoru in an effort to dispel some of the loneliness, and the cat did for a little while. He was a great companion, after all, but Kaoru could never take the place of a real boyfriend.

Hoseok flopped down on his bed after stripping off his shirt and changing into some pajama pants, Kaoru hopping up next to him and curling up to sleep. Hoseok flipped through twitter and tumblr for a bit before turning off his phone and snuggling up to Kaoru to sleep.

Hoseok was awakened three hours later by alarms blaring through his apartment. He sat up quickly,

“Fire?!” Hoseok gasped.

 He sprung out of bed, scooped Kaoru up, and slid on his slippers before rushing to his door and pulling it open, sprinting down the hall, down the stairs, and out the front door to his building.

He would have sat down on the ground if not for the squirming cat in his arms. He stood panting and trying to keep Kaoru under control as the cat decorated his bare arms and torso with scratches. Once the cat was in a comfortable position and calmed down he glanced around at his neighbors, most of them he’d never even seen before. Just when he thought he’d seen everyone, one more person stumbled out of the doors, coming to a stop right in front of Hoseok.

The man regained his footing and stood up straight, which allowed Hoseok to get a better look at him. He had gorgeous, delicate facial features and…oh, he was only in his boxers, revealing milky white skin and toned, barely there abs,

‘Holy ! This guy lives in my building?!’ Hoseok thought as his eyes widened at the sight in front of him. It took him a second to realize that the stranger was talking to him,

“Hey, have we met before? I haven’t seen you around. I’m Yoongi” the pale boy said, flashing Hoseok a gummy smile that made a faint blush dust the brunette’s cheeks.

“Y-yeah…I’ve lived here for about a year. I’m Hoseok and this is Kaoru” Hoseok responded before he could stop himself,

‘Holy I did not just introduce my cat to this guy…’ Hoseok groaned internally, but Yoongi laughed, his nose crinkling cutely as he reached forward to the cat’s head.

“Soo…after all this is over maybe you and Kaoru could come hang out at my place sometime?” Yoongi asked. Hoseok’s heart pounded,

“Um…yeah, that’d be awesome!” Hoseok responded, grinning. Yoongi smiled back at him,

“Awesome, let me get your number, I’ll call you” Yoongi said, holding up his phone. Hoseok readjusted the cat in his arms as he told Yoongi his number.

They stood talking for a few more minutes until they were told that it was a false alarm and they were allowed to go back inside. Hoseok groaned,

“I was woken up for a false alarm?” he sighed. Yoongi scoffed,

“Hey, it could have been worse. And besides…” the pale boy smirked, “you got to meet me”.
