Final
StrangersI glanced in their direction subtlely, ignoring the small pang in my chest as I saw how happy they were together. Part of me was happy: I was the reason they were together, after all. She, a seemingly nice girl from my class, had approached me a few months ago.
“What about you?” I had asked her. “Do you like anyone?”
When I saw the blush spread on her cheeks, I knew her answer. “Yeah. You know Baekhyun, right? I know you two are close...well, I really like him.”
I knew it!
“Baek, I was right!” I crowed the following weekend. I reached out for his iced tea, taking a sip from it.
He rolled his eyes at me, way too used to me saying that. “About what?” He took the bottle back and drank.
“Remember that girl you told me you liked? Jia?”
His head predictably shot up at the mention of her name, almost spewing out his tea. “Yeah?” he asked, a little too quickly.
“I know who she likes…” I sang.
He swatted my shoulder. “Tell me!” he whined. “Does she like me too?”
I just smiled and nodded a little, but it was enough to make him jump up and dance around happily, making my grin wider; but I had to consciously push away the heaviness that clung to my heart.

Two months. The amount of time it had been since I talked to my best friend face-to-face.
I looked at the two of them in disgust. Touching each other so freely, ignoring everyone else around them. The girl I had first thought of as nice and sweet turned to be the source of my hate. She was everywhere he was. I couldn’t even text him if I had wanted to, because all of our conversations were the exact same:
Me: Hey
Baek^^: Hey. What’s up?
Me: Nothing much. We just haven’t in a while, so i didn’t know if you were mad at me, or…
Baek^^: Why would i be mad at you haha? I guess we’ve just been busy
Me: So what are you doing?
Baek^^: Texting Jia :) but i have a problem
Me: Shoot. What kind of problem?
Baek^^: With Jia. I don’t think she likes me anymore
