Exciting news for YG stans! YG Entertainment will be debuting four new rookie groups starting this year. In a public statement to Sports Korea, YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk stated, "2014 will be an important year for YG Entertainment.BIGBANG will release their 3rd full album this summer. 2NE1 will become the first girl group to have a 2nd world tour, and we will debut a new rookie group following Winner this August." He also followed this statement with "It's not an early generation-swap. Through these (rookies), the YGE artist spectrum will be much wider. We do not debut artists with pretty faces or lacks training like we always say we debut artists who have the talent and guts to be an idol..."
A week after this public statement YG Entertainment posted a photo on their official website with a hashtag tria (#tria) as caption. We sense that this is the said rookie group that Yang Hyun Suk is talking about. Somehow we already assumed that YGE will debut a girl group because debuting another boy group won't make any sense since they are taking a great precaution with Winner. But all in all YGE is really something they always come up with something that we are not expecting, it just comes out the box! Let's just look forward for more about YGE and the mysterious #tria.
