Flashback

“Follow me, Kyuhyun-ah!” I yelled as we ran throughout the fields together. Kyuhyun was my childhood friend. He is a very amazing person. He is kind and humble.

“Yah, Kwon Tae Hee, how could you run so fast?!” He yelled as he ran after me, panting.

“Yah, I’m not fast. You’re just slow!” I teased.

Later on, he reached me and we fall over the grass together, laughing. Then he told me:

 “Tae Hee-ah, I saw this ad on a newspaper. It’s about an audition,” he looked at me.

“Hmmm, audition on what, Kyuhyun-ah?” I asked, smiling widely.

“Singing and dancing, that’s all. If I will be chosen, I will be trained and debut. Maybe I will have a group, or go solo.”

“Wah, Kyuhyun-ah, you should go for it! You know how amazing you are when it comes to singing and dancing!” I said excitedly.

“Yah, you little… Aish. You sure?” He asked me, trying hard not so smile.

“Yes.” I smiled. “Go for it!” We both stood up.

“Okay, I will.” He suddenly hugged me. My cheeks went red. “Wish me luck!”

“Yah, if you’ll get chosen, don’t forget me, okay? Or else I’ll go to your concerts and assassinate you!” I joked.

“No, of course not!” He held my shoulders. “Who would forget such clumsy girl like you?”

“Aish, you never change, Kyuhyun-ah!” I said as we both laughed and walked on our way home.

5 months later, same place.

“Tae Hee! Tae Hee!” I heard someone call. I turned back, only to know it was Kyuhyun.

“Oh, Kyuhyun-ah! You seem very excited! What’s up?” I asked, thrilled.

“Guess.” He smiled widely.

“What, you finally got yourself a girlfriend?” I joked.

“Tae Hee, better than that!” He said, almost yelling.

“I couldn’t think of anything. Just tell me what it is!” I said impatiently.

“Tae Hee-ah, I got chosen from the audition!” He hugged me.

“Really?! That’s so great!” As he hugged me, I didn’t know why but tears started falling from my eyes.

“Aren’t you happy?” he asked. “I am!” I replied, my voice trembling.

Kyuhyun noticed. “Tae Hee, are you crying?”

“No, why would I?” My voice trembled even more.

He looked at me straight in the eye. “See, I’m right. You are crying. What’s the matter?”

“I hate the fact that you’re leaving.” Tears kept on falling.

“Yah, I wouldn’t forget you. I promised, right? We’ll see each other again soon.” He felt my hair.

I cried some more. He chuckled and hugged me. I would miss Kyuhyun. I would really miss him.

2 months later, same place.

Kyuhyun’s trainee days will start now, and he was already preparing to leave. We met at the park before he was finally leaving.

“Kyuhyun-ah, always keep yourself safe, okay?” I told him.

“Of course! You, too.” He smiled. “Goodbye, Tae Hee.”

“Goodbye, Kyuhyun.”

I watched him go as we waved at me. I waved back. When the car was finally out of sight, I started crying. I sat by the bench and poured my tears out.

“Excuse me, Miss? Are you alright?”

I looked up, only to see a guy that looked like he wanted to help me.
