As if her previous frustration and defenses were blown away into oblivion, she broke into an easy, lopsided smile. “Out there, and I’ve heard some amazing singers live, but nothing like the depth and prowess you had.” she allowed to spoil herself as she finally looked at him, really looked at him. “And I thought, god, thank god that voice. It was like I was struck by lightning and gone to heaven.”

The title I Sing the Body Electric is actually from Walt Whitman's poem, "I Sing the Body Electric." It's a long poem, but definitely worth the read to grasp the basic understanding of the interconnectedness between body and soul.
