Taming the Leader

Sleep (One-Shot)

It was obvious, recently, that the leader of the 6 member boy band B2st was not sleeping as much as the rest of its members.  One Yoon Doojoon was a very busy man, attending filmings, extra variety show appearances, radio interviews and all that on top of dance practices and recording for their upcoming albums.  It was easy to see that Doojoon was exhausted and the rest of the members were worried.  He wasn’t sleeping as much as he should be because he would stay up working on his laptop or memorizing lines or even just looking to see what they were going to be doing the next day.

“Yah, why does he need to look at that stuff,” Junhyung asked, peeking out of the kitchen at their leader who was sitting on the couch studying their schedule for tomorrow.

“He needs to relax, seriously,” Hyunseung said, looking over at their studious leader.

“He should drink some tea,” Gikwang smiled, “tea puts everyone to sleep, right?”

“No, where did you learn that?” Junhyung questioned the smiling goofball.

“Yeah, he needs a massage or something,” Hyunseung said, “that’s the best way to relax.”

“No way, tea will put him to sleep better than a massage,” Gikwang retorted.

“What about just taking his work away?” Dongwoon spoke up for the first time since dinner ended.

Junhyung gave the maknae and unbelievable look, “have you ever tried to take his work away from him? It’s near impossible.”

“Guys,” Yoseob yawned cutely while rubbing his eyes, sitting at the kitchen table, “I’m sleepy.”

Junhyung looked at the smaller boy, his brain working quickly before giving him a small smile, “wait just a little bit Seobie.  You can go to bed in a bit, ok?” He said, patting the younger on the head.

Yoseob just nodded sleepily at the rapper.

“I bet you my tea will make him go to sleep,” Gikwang said with a raised voice.

“No way,” Hyunseung fought back, “a massage.”

“If you just take his stuff away, he’ll get bored and fall asleep, right?”

“Let’s make it a little interesting,” Junhyung spoke up, smugly.

Doojoon was sitting in the dim living room, only one lamp on next to him as he sat on the couch, going over the schedule for the boy’s day tomorrow.  He was silently planning out when he needed to wake up, in order to wake up everyone else so that they could all be out the door on time for their practices and radio shows.

He would wake first, and then he would wake up Gikwang so he could get to his radio show.  Then it would be Junhyung, who had to record a few tracks for their upcoming album.  Lastly would be Dongwoon, Hyunseung and Yoseob to go to dance practice where the others would join when they finished with their own stuff.  Doojoon would join them later after filming for a variety show he was appearing on.

After that, he needed to figure out when lunch would be.

            “Hyung?”

“Hmm?” Doojoon looked up briefly to see Gikwang walking towards him with a cup of something hot in his hand.

“I made you some tea,” the dancer said, setting the mug down on the coffee table in front of Doojoon.

“Thanks,” Doojoon smiled, taking a sip of the hot liquid before looking back at his papers.

Gikwang stood there expectantly for a little before Doojoon looked up again.

            “Do you need something, Kwangie?”

“N-no,” Gikwang blinked, “aren’t you sleepy?”

“Nah, I’m looking over our schedule,” Doojoon smiled, once again burying his nose in his papers.

The leader didn’t notice that Gikwang had stomped away in a huff.

Doojoon had barely figured out when everyone was going to get to the dance studio before another set of footsteps approached him and came to a stop behind the couch.

“Doojoon,” it was Hyunseung, “you need to relax some.  You work too hard,” the second oldest in the band said as he began massaging his leader’s shoulders.

Doojoon was barely phased by the delicate fingers kneading at his shoulders, “I am relaxed,” he said, continuing to look at the schedule.

“You’re weird, hyung,” Hyunseung said, removing his hands from the semi-tense shoulders and returning to the kitchen.

“Doojoon-hyung,” Dongwoon approached Doojoon, “maybe you should put your stuff down for a bit.”

“You guys are pretty persistent tonight, huh?” Doojoon said getting slightly annoyed at all the interruptions from his band mates.

“We just want you to sleep some,” the maknae said.

“I will,” Doojoon looked up with a reassuring smile, “after I finish planning out our schedule.”

Dongwoon walked away defeated.  He could have tried harder, but he was slightly intimidated by the older man.

“I lose,” the tall boy stated when he re-entered the kitchen.

Junhyung chuckled, “watch and learn boys.”  The rapper walked over to where Yoseob was still sitting at the kitchen table, nodding off every now and then.  “Seobie? Remember what we talked about?”

“Mhmm,” Yoseob nodded, burying his face in Junhyung’s stomach when the older was close enough.

Junhyung held him there for about five minutes, the others looking on with curiosity in their eyes.

“I thought we were trying to make Doojoon fall asleep,” Gikwang said, “not Yoseob.”

“It’s all part of the plan,” Junhyung smirked, pulling Yoseob away from his stomach, inspecting the vocalists face intently and feeling his forehead with the back of his hand.  Satisfied he pulled the smaller boy up, “you sure you remember Seob?”

The younger just nodded, following Junhyung who was pulling him to the living room.

Doojoon grew frustrated as he heard more sets of footsteps approaching him.  “What is it now?” Doojoon asked, not looking up from his papers, in an irritated tone.

“Shhhhh,” the equally irritated response came back, causing Doojoon to look up with a jump.  He saw Junhyung leading Yoseob to the other side of the couch and sitting him down with care.

As soon as Yoseob hit the couch the small boy immediately curled up to be hugging his knees to his chest.

“How’s that? Are you comfortable?” Junhyung asked softly to the other boy as he pushed his bangs out of his eyes.

Doojoon looked on curiously, “what’s wrong?” He asked, worried as to why his boyfriend was being pampered by Junhyung, and set his papers on the coffee table.

Junhyung inwardly smirked at the action.  “Seob isn’t feeling so good.  I’ll be right back, k?” He looked at the “sick” boy once more, giving him a small wink before heading off to the bedroom.

“You ok Seobie?” Doojoon asked, scooting over towards the smaller vocalist.

“Yeah,” Yoseob said, resting his forehead on his knees.

Junhyung, who had seen this from the bedroom laughed to himself.  “Man this kid is good,” he thought, “I’m going to have to pay him back big time.”

“Seobie?” Doojoon said, running a hand over Yoseob’s hair, “sit up a second for me, k?”

Yoseob lifted his head slightly, meeting his leader’s eyes with his own half lidded eyes.

Doojoon placed a careful hand on the younger’s forehead, eyes widening at the heat coming off of the vocalist.  “Baby, I told you to let me know when you weren’t feeling well.”

“I’m ok,” Yoseob sighed, leaning into the touch of Doojoon’s cool hands. “I’m just sleepy is all.”

“Why don’t we get you to bed then,” Doojoon offered, starting to stand from the couch.

            Yoseob shook his head.

“You don’t want to go to bed?”

            Yoseob shook his head again.

“Why not? Aren’t you sleepy?” Doojoon asked, sitting next to the younger boy once more.

“I miss you,” Yoseob said, voice barely above a whisper, keeping his head down and avoiding eye contact with Doojoon. “You’ve been so busy lately, I didn’t want to bother you, but I miss falling asleep with you next to me,” he said, pouting slightly.

Doojoon’s eyes softened immediately. “I’m sorry Seobie.  I’m all yours now, no work, just you and me.” The leader said, holding his empty hands up to show the other that indeed there were no distractions.  “What do you want to do?”

Yoseob pushed his boyfriend to the other side of the couch, situating him so that he was slightly leaning in to the corner of the couch with his legs lying across the rest of the cushions.  He then curled up on Doojoon’s lap burying his face in the crook of the older man’s neck and letting out a muffled, “sleep.”

Doojoon chuckled slightly, laying a gentle kiss on the top of Yoseob’s head.  He wrapped a protective arm around the younger boy’s waste, and pet Yoseob’s hair with his other hand as he let the younger sleep on top of him.  It wasn’t long before the soft, even breathing of Yoseob started to make Doojoon feel drowsy.  He soon found himself falling asleep with the comfortable weight on top of him.

When he was sure that the two in the living room had fallen asleep, Junhyung returned to the kitchen.  “That’ll be a month’s worth of coke please and thank you.”

“That’s totally not fair, hyung,” Gikwang whined.

“Yeah, who said you could use Yoseob?” Hyunseung pouted, “Using Yoseob isn’t fair when the target is Doojoon.”

“No one said we couldn’t use Yoseob,” Junhyung just smiled, “I’ll expect my coke tomorrow.”

“You’re cruel hyung,” Dongwoon said, “I call dibs on Yoseob next time.”

AN: Yay! So it's been a really long time since I've written anything.  I used to write stuff a couple years ago and was very big in to the Japanese Boy Band Arashi.  I wrote lots of Ohmiya but when I started classes I wasn't able to keep up and eventually shut down my livejournal.  I'm probably going to pick it back up again soon but for now I'll just use AFF :)  Hope you all liked my story! I'm really nervous getting in to a new fandom and posting stuff again >.<  Please be nice!!! XD
