Jooyeon is in a girl band called After School. She'd work her off and it was just right to have her reward as a pay off to be under the spot light. For almost a year, all she thought about was to work hard and make her fans happy. That was she thought and never ever she thought of having a relationship yet. Maybe, that is the one last things in her list. She's known as a prankster in her group and a shikshin. Food will never leave her side and everytime they go out or they have photoshoot her bag is full of snacks. Her members are wondering why doesn't she get fat? Well, fast metabolism and that's her answer. Her life has going in circles like that and she has felt it's getting boring by just living like that, but nonetheless that's her dream after all.

One day, they admitted two new members in their group. The younger one is named Nana or Im Jin Ah in real life and the older one is Raina or Oh Hyerin as her birth name. Both are shy and quiet, but as the time go by. Raina has gotten along with the other members while the blonde is still awkward with her unnies.

Jooyeon watched her secretly at the living room in one late afternoon while the other members had gone to a 24 hour store somewhere. She was playing with her phone, but that was one of her techniques to to take furtive glances at her. Jooyeon sat on the couch that was adjacent to the blonde. The blonde was sitting on the couch while watching a drama that afternoon. She was silent as her face focused on the screen of the TV with her straight face all the time. She rarely smile, Jooyeon thought that she was fairly silent at times. Most people think that whenever they go to one of the TV or variety shows. People will think she will easily be casted out of the corner, but no, and in fact being quiet like her. She's more likely getting more attention than expected. Jooyeon thought again, how could she be if she was only out going like Bekah, funny like Jung Ah unnie, and fierce like Kahi unnie? That would be perfect to see her like that and her thoughts were interrupted when the door swung open hitting the wall so loudly. Both of them turned their heads back to see Bekah entering their dorm first.

"We're back!" Bekah said while holding a plastic bag of fruits and then the other members followed as they exchanged their little chit chat along the way to their dorm.

Jooyeon sat in the corner while munching her food joyfully. Some of her other members were practicing and the others were hitting each other playfully. Her eyes were focused only to a certain blonde. Not Bekah, who is the other blonde member in the group, but Nana their new maknae. She watched her silently in the corner. Her moves were really fluid as if she was giving her all to that sole practice. Then she suddenly smiles when it was her part of the song Because of You lypsyncing to the song. Jooyeon began to love seeing her dance and she was more likely second to Kahi. Kahi is a veteran to amongst of them. But now seeing her dance so quietly in the corner this gave her more to see her potential. She thought comparing to her Nana is a good dancer than her.

One Christmas eve that year of 2009. Most of the members went home to their hometowns. Some stayed like her, but Jung Ah, Kahi, and Raina went to their families. Nana and she were left at the dorm while Bekah went to her friend's Christmas party somewhere. Uee? She recently got more attention about her acting skills, so she was filming her last episode of the drama You're Beautiful. She was so bored that night and she decided to watch some late shows that evening at the living room. She left her room silently and didn't want to wake her up because of her wanting to watch a TV and because of the noises she was gonna make. Jooyeon smirked and headed to the living room and stopped when she heard sobs in Nana and Raina's room. She shrugged at first and thought she must be hearing things then resumed walking silently, but the sobs never stopped. She looked at the door and leaned her ear on it. She was sure that Nana was crying that night and her cries sounded so painful. She tried to ignore it, but that made her think if she just left that alone and knowing her dongsaengs were crying. She would be a very uncaring unnie. She brought up her hand up to knock on the door, but she stopped again. She was now reluctant whether to ask her or not. She stood there for a minute or so. She sighed and she was about to put her hand down then the door opened to her surprise to see a blonde with sullen and puffy eyes. Not a surprise at all since she heard sobs inside her room. Nana was forgetting her tears were still falling then she realized her unnie was standing in front of her room.

"Ahm, ah unnie, do you need something?" She asked and brushed her tears away so quickly as she replaced her gloomy face to a fake enthusiast expression.

"I-I ahm, eerr , wh- why? Why are you crying? You can tell unnie about it, you know. Being as older member I'll be here to help you with all I can." Jooyeon said, dumbfounded. Nana shook her head and sniffed. Jooyeon didn't understand why she was stuttering. She didn't stammered when it comes to Raina, but Nana. That was a big question mark in her head right at that moment.

"I'm ok, unnie it's nothing serious." Jooyeon held her hand with a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry, if you're feeling lonely tonight. I'll be accompanying you." Nana smiled and opened the door wider this time. Letting Jooyeon in and welcoming her to her shared room with Raina.

Nana sat on her bed and hugged her knees while Jooyeon closed the door and sat next to her. Nana sighed and a tear fell from her eye. Jooyeon watched her once again. Suppose to be seeing a person cry Jooyeon will feel bad about it, but seeing her cry Jooyeon only see is just Nana being herself. Behind those cold demeanour and cold attitude of hers. She's still a person who gets hurt after all and people think of her as a cold person. She noticed that being so close to her Nana was so pretty. She had never thought of it before, but now she was.

"I just missed my parents." Nana finally said.

"Me too, but I'm used to it. Be strong and not only you who experience this. Most of the idols do." Jooyeon said caressing her blonde hair.

"I'd like to go, but my parents aren't home and they went to my grandma's place. Unfortunately, my grandma and I aren't that closed."

Jooyeon opened , but she prefered to be quiet and hugged her. Nana let her out muffle cry, but that didn't change the fact they were so close, so Jooyeon could clearly hear it. Jooyeon noticed after like hours of being in that position. Nana fell sleep on her shoulder as she moved so little fearing to wake the blonde up. She rested her sleeping body on her bed and tucked the covers. She carefully brushed those tears away that night and looked at her once again before leaving the room qiuetly.

The next day, Jooyeon knitted her eyebrows while her eyes closed. Someone poked her cheeks and she slept on her side then someone poked her again. This time, she was irritated then she opened her eyes and she saw a familiar blonde in sight, smiling. Her irritation she felt was gone instantly by just seeing her face smiling so brightly at her.

"Good morning, unnie." She greeted her.

"G-Good morning?" Jooyeon yawned, but she stared at her dumbfoundly.

"Ahm, thank you for last night. I was relieved because of you being there to console me. Thank you." Nana beamed heartily for the first time at her.

Jooyeon's eyes never left her smiling face before she snapped out her own daze feeling so stupid in front of her. Nana giggled so softly and she grabbed her hand pulling her out from her bed.

"W-Where are we going?" Jooyeon not knowing what the blonde was planning just followed her not uttering more words. Nana didn't answer and they finally arrived at the kitchen.

"I-I made a breakfast for you as my way of saying my thanks." Jooyeon looked at her surprisingly happy. No one had ever made breakfast coming from the heart and that was the first time for her to feel very thankful to someone and that was Nana. Since Jungah and Kahi were the oldest members in the group and they thought it was their job to feed their younger members in the group. It's not a sense of responsibility like Nana.

"You didn't need to bother, Nana. It's fine." She waved her hands, but more exaggeratedly than normal. Now, she felt so funny and being stupid again.

"C'mon, I really made that for you." She pouted and Jooyeon kept shut before making any stupid acts or cooments that would offend her right in front of her as she took a breathe as a way of calming herself. Nana let out a muffled giggle and it seemed like Jooyeon didn't notice it.

Without any more arguments, Jooyeon sat herself in front of the looking deliciously food on the table. Then she tried to act normally. She grabbed the choptsticks and she started stuffing . She smiled and she never felt so happy like that in years.

"Nana, this is so good and I have never thought you are a good cook." Nana sat across her and smiled whlie resting her chin on the palm of her hands.

"Well, I'll take that as a compliment and just dig in. I'm happy I've given joy even in just a simple breakfast."

"No, it's not!" Jooyeon totally disagreed to her. "It's really a world winning breakfast ever." Jooyeon said joyfully. Nana thought Jooyeon was like a kid at that moment and laughed at her cute demeanour. Jooyeon threw her hand up in the air while holding her chopsticks. Then she resumed her eating happily.

From that day on, both them became closer little by little. Jooyeon learned that being her the lead dancer of the group and one of the lead rappers. Nana is a best cook also. She even learned that she's good at make ups so whenever the coordi unnie couldn't come. Nana is there to apply their make ups on. Day by day she's opening up to the other members. Jooyeon learned that once she settled her friendship to the other members, she was so talkative. But while Nana progresses her bond to her group members something progresses about Jooyeon. She began to admire her. Whenever the latter is around she acts a little bit way off than to her normal actions around her unnies or to Raina.

Whenever Nana waves at her, she will never be hesitant to follow her. Whenever Nana gazes at her, she can't help but to blush the way she stares at her. Whenever Nana makes a cute little mistake. Jooyeon will be smiling from ear to ear like a fool. Whenever Nana smiles at her, it's like she's drunk at that moment and forgets how to breathe. Every little movements Nana does Jooyeon admires it. The way she dances, she raps, she sings, she laughs, and smiles. Jooyeon is like living through her. She is her happiness. If she doesn't see Nana around the dorm her whole day is pretty dead boring. She mentally calls her name hopelessly and whenever the blonde comes home. She grins like a total fool and her other members are making fun of her, but she doesn't mind at all.

She tries to act normally around her and makes excuses for hugging her during fanmeetings. Kissing her on the cheek or holding her hand. That's a fanservice if someone asks her. What a nice excuse to be closer to her. Right Jooyeon, she said to herself. The only one sure thing she knew of that Nana didn't see her as someone important unlike her. Maybe, she admires her too much and she begins to love her secretly. Jooyeon once asked herself. She loves her for being so perfect in many things she does. Admiring it is. 

Jooyeon loves to see her especially her bangs to the side and it is tucked behind her ear. This just shows how pretty she is. She admires her whenever she smiles, as if her eyes are smiling at her. She loves to hear her rare laughs, because she doesn't laugh to often unlike her. Even she and Jung Ah had done some pretty stupid and funny acts some others laughed at them, but Nana only stood slash sat there with a weak smile or with a straight face. That's Nana for you.

One day, in March, they admitted a new member and her name was Park Sooyoung a.k.a. Lizzy as her stage name. Nana acted cold towards Lizzy for how long Jooyeon couldn't remember. She was the same when Nana was first admitted in After School, but she knew that as the time go by, both of them would be clingy to each other. Nana was like that to the other members and also to her. Lizzy and Nana would be close like the others in AS. Well, she was right, she couldn't be cold towards her forever and that would be so fairly high to herself if she kept being cold towards to their new maknae. She noticed since Lizzy was a year younger than Nana who was a year older to her. Both just went fine and more likely hangs out more than the other members. Jooyeon somewhat felt jealous about this, but she had never made any comments regarding to the both of them for being so close than the other members. Why was she jealous? And she brushed the feeling of jealousy inside her. Should she confess her admiration towards the blonde, but she stopped herself from doing so. What's wrong she only admires her and that's all. Well, that's an understatement for Jooyeon. She just doesn't want to admit that her admiration has turned into something. So seeing both of them being so touchy feely Jooyeon didn't put much of a thought of it.

Months later, she was there sitting alone at the balcony eating patbingsu since it was so hot. Some other members were so loud inside the dorm and thought what was the noise all about? Eyoung, the new addition in After School called her up looking so excited suddenly. Jooyen arched an eyebrow at the maknae.

"What's the ruckus?" Jooyeon asked so curiously.

"Nana and Lizzy, unnie!"

"What?" She asked and she stuffed with the sweet and cold patbingsu.

"Just come." She placed her sweet on the table and followed the younger member.

Jooyeon sat around the living room. Both Nana and Lizzy stood in the middle while the other members were waiting for them to speak. Uee, firstly, asked Nana's purposed for calling them at the living room. Jooyeon noticed Lizzy held Nana's hand and squeezed it a little bit. She just didn't feel good about that little gesture. Both Nana and Lizzy smiled to each other before Nana started.

"Well, ah," Nana paused while the other members were clearly dying to know what would be their announcement. Lizzy nudged her side and Nana cleared . "Me and Lizzy a-a-are dating."

Kahi wasn't there, because of some family matters at hand during that time, so she wouldn't be feeling her jaw on the floor. Uee's jaw dropped and she couldn't believe what she just heard. Jung Ah's eyes were almost bluging out of their sockets when she heard the one last word that Nana had said. Raina sat there, shocked and not knowing what to say. Eyoung was clapping and it was clearly that she was supporting both of them. And Jooyeon. Guess, she felt like dying at that moment. She felt so devastated inside after hearing from the person she admired for so long. Admiration it is for Lee Jooyeon.
