of thunder, tears and comfortTaehyung hated thunder.
He hated the way it shook him to the bones, hated the way it deafened him on a stormy day, hated the way it cracked unexpectedly, making him cry taking him by surprise.
And today was no different. Buried under heaps of blankets in a fetal position, Taehyung curled up in a corner to keep the storm out. With every squeak from that one window in their dorm (Taehyung swears Namjoon broke the left hinge again) and every crack of thunder, a fresh stream of tears flowed down his cheeks, dampening the blankets pooling around him. The dorm was empty, the hyungs had schedules, he was the first of the maknaes to arrive home from school; he was alone, and absolutely terrified.
A particularly loud crack of thunder made Taehyung yelp, curling further into the corner and at the blankets to cover his face. Oh my god, I’m going to die! I’m going to die here and no one will know and-
“Yah, Taehyung-ah!”
A familiar voice cut through the sounds of thunder, and Taehyung brought down the blankets to uncover his face.
“Jiminnie!” A sob of relief wracked his chest as Jimin’s face surfaced through his tears. Jimin hardly had any time to register anything before Taehyung latched onto him, desperately sobbing into his neck.
Jimin Taehyung's hair, rubbing small circles on his back to calm him down. “Shh, shh, it’s okay, I’m here now.”
He noticed Taehyung was shivering, and it broke his heart – as much as Taehyung hated thunder, Jimin hated seeing Taehyung like this, broken and afraid. This is exactly what Jimin had been afraid of sitting at his desk at school with the storm raging outside, waiting impatiently for his after-school meeting to end. He knew Taehyung
