Today he see's her.
She doesn't notice as he stares.
Jiyeon doesn't.
But she's the prettiest thing Myungsoo has ever laid eyes on.
He likes the way the ends of her lips tug up when she's amused.
He likes the way her laugh echoes Inside his mind.
He likes her.
Today he musters up enough courage for a few seconds
That he convinces himself will be worth it.
He takes out a cream envelope that just so happens to hold his heart.
He stutters when he speaks, but the words do come out.
He hands her the envelope with eyes closed and heart hopeful.
He peeks through his lashes to see a painted smile.
To his surprise, his heart isn't broken, not even cracked.
She said she'd give him a chance.
"I think I like you, too." Were her words.
Today he realises that 'content' is not a word that could describe him.
Today Myungsoo asks himself if this is right.
Myungsoo asks himself if he should be where he is.
He doesn't think so.
So with tears emerging from his eyes he goes to her.
He tells her his thoughts while listing his flaws and faults.
She replies with a measly "Okay."
Leaving him wondering if she really is.
That night Myungsoo cries himself to sleep.
Five years later Myungsoo finds himself talking to a girl in specticals.
"Do you see the world differently in those?" He teases.
She repsonds with a playful "Of course."
Her name is Suzy.
Suzy, Myungsoo's best friend.
They're stargazing together when Myungsoo tells Suzy she's the prettiest girl, ever.
Suzy pretends to gag.
"You need glasses more than I do." She chuckles.
"I mean it." Myungsoo returns, unable to see the humour in her statement.
"Have you looked at me lately."
She points at the bags under her eyes and her hair that frizzes where it pleases.
Myungsoo doesn't know how to explain it so he doesn't.
Not yet.
Myungsoo tells Suzy he knows who likes her.
"Is it you?" She asks jokingly, but secretly hoping it is, and Myungsoo's heart stops for a second.
He tells her she's right.
And they were happy.
