This world

Take a deep breath. Close your eyes and listen, sweet child.

Now imagine - the deep, rich fragrance of roasted coffee beans, freshly baked bread and a crisp essence of vanilla and lavender. A soft buzzing chatter amidst the boiling of water and the brewing of coffee is present under a sky of dusty light bulbs that emit golden light. At the fireplace, a warm amber flame crackles amongst wood, spreading a sort of refuge across the room for those who enter from the world of artless snow. The constant ringing of an oven calls for the attention of heated confectionery, a respite to those aching from pure hunger. On the windows that open to a calm amethyst welkin, white snow piles, seemingly allured to the snug warmth of the shop. Near a wooden table embellished with spilled cocoa powder, milk, and messily chopped chocolate, a single barista in a khaki apron attends to a cup of expresso. With a pair of benevolent silver eyes, his placid stirring of a spoon resembled that of an old grandfather despite his raw age of twenty two.

Meet the barista who goes by the name of Cho Kyuhyun, sweet child.

Imagine – the thick, heavy tang of industrial sewage water, a hint of copper, salt, and alkali. The smell of smoke from a blaze of hatred is present under a sky of old cracked light bulbs that emit a sullied white light. Peeved shouting and loud commands fill the corridor, spreading a sort of chill that causes the prisoners to tense. The constant whimpers of inmates call for the attention of anyone who was willing to listen to their cries. On the barred windows that may open to a dull grey welkin, white snow piles, seemingly there to mock the wintry air of the prison. Near a steel table embellished with dried crimson blood, uneaten food, and plastic broken utensils, a single prisoner in black clothing attends to his already heavily cut arm. With a pair of cold golden eyes, his dismal cutting with a fork resembled that of someone who needed help.

Meet the ex-prisoner who goes by the name of Kim Ryeowook, dear child.
