I like to rest my head on the left side of his chest, knowing that his heart is beating right underneath me. I can hear every beat as it plays a perfect familiar rhythm only for me. I trace my fingers over his chest, feeling the way his sensitive skin moves under my touch and the perfect rhythm increases. I lift my head to place a soft kiss on his chest, knowing that even his heart would feel it. I feel his fingers running through my hair, gently placing my head back down. I take his right hand and thread my fingers with his, locking them together perfectly. I place his hand on my chest, above my heart, so he can feel each beat. I hold his hand as he presses his closer to my chest. I know he can feel my heartbeat when the pace of his own increases. I shift my head to look at his face and he gives me his beautiful smile.

I smile.

His heart tells me he loves me and my heart tells him I love him. No spoken words will ever able to describe the love we have for each other so we let our hearts speak for us.

That’s why I like sleeping on his left side.
