You were out of work for almost three months, just as long as you were separated from your husband. The divorce was still finalizing, and you couldn't wait for it to be over so you can finally move on and hopefully find work again. It's not that you exactly needed him per se, but the kind of job that you held was certainly unique. You sort of worked with each other and for each other at the same time. It's how the two of you met in the first place.

You were his makeup artist.

***

Before the two of you met, you'd float from group to group, doing makeup for hundreds of different artists each week. You rarely worked with the same idols more than once until you were assigned to be his for the day... and eventually you were his for an additional four years, both in and out of work. He loved your techniques and cosmetic talents so much that he requested you to be his group's permanent coordinoona, although you were actually only a noona to his other members and a mere seven months his junior. You didn't mind sticking to one group since you never got to develop a friendship with the others due to the constant group-hopping. Plus this quartet was very amiable and eventually they became good friends of yours. After just a few days you became particularly fond of the oldest member, who also happened to be the leader, and he reciprocated those feelings. You found yourself doing his makeup more than the rest of the members as the days went on, making it very clear to his dongsaengs that they weren't going to see much of you anymore in their own dressing rooms anymore.

Neither of you could deny the mutual attraction, and a relationship was born after a less than a month. You went on tour with him and his band no matter where they were. Oceans never separated the both of you, and it made you feel even luckier about landing this job. Distance was always an issue with other idols, but you were together pretty much all the time; it gave you more time to fall deeper in love with him. He felt the same way and ended up proposing to you after a year and a half of dating. The two of you got married half a year later and spent two years in blissful matrimony. Everyone thought you were perfect together, like a fairytale couple. Normally spending too much time together would end up driving people apart at the end, but with the two of you it was different. Absence didn't make the heart grow fonder in your case; it actually made you two tense because you weren't used to being apart. Unfortunately because of this, not seeing each other on a regular basis took a strain on your marriage when the two of you met up again after extended periods of time. There were only three times the two of you spent over a week apart: once when you had to fly home to your best friend's wed
