Kibum felt lost and the distance between them was suffocating him. He wanted to hold the other but he felt so far away. It was scaring him at how disconnected the other man seemed and he felt like he wanted to cry at the sad look inside the older man’s empty eyes.

“Jinki, please… what is it?” He whispered almost afraid to speak up. The look in the other’s eyes didn’t change but instead of staring ahead at the wall the older boy turned to look at him and Kibum tried to ignore the red that he could now see was seeping into his white sleeves.

“Please tell me, I want to help.” When Jinki just shook his head Kibum pushed through the barriers, grabbing hold of the older male and cradling him in his arms, “I – I love you, please let me help.” He knew he was crying but he couldn’t bear to see the other so broken, the smiles on his face that he was so used to like a distant memory.

Why wouldn’t he open up to him? Kibum felt useless.
