Gongchan smiles as he sees the window at the top of the old oak tree wide open, cream-colored curtain billowing in the breeze, even though the night was chilly. He climbs the tree stealthily, sneaking in through the window successfully. He watches the boy in the bed for a minute or two before slipping in behind him, wrapping his arms around the thin frame. 

 

"You're so cute when you're pretending to sleep" Gongchan whispers in the redhead's ear, making the smaller giggle, intertwining his fingers with Gongchan's. 

 

"You're lucky I left the window open, it's freezing out!" Jinyoung replies, smile evident in his voice. "Well, your personal heater has just arrived" Gongchan whispers, biting Jinyoung's ear slightly, earning a soft giggle. The redhead turns around then, looking up into Gongchan's eyes. "I'm really happy you decided to come" Jinyoung says, snuggling into the younger's chest. 

 

"Me too" Gongchan smiles, pulling Jinyoung closer. He opens his mouth to say something else when a hesitant knock resounds on the door.  Jinyoung and Gongchan exchange a wide-eyed, surprised glance before Jinyoung pushes Gongchan under the covers, bending his knees to cover up the lump of Gongchan just as his door opens. 

 

He fakes a yawn as he sits up, ruffling his hair as he looks at his mother tiredly. "Oh, Jinyounggie, I'm sorry for waking you" his mom says apologetically, and Jinyoung shrugs. "It's okay, I wasn't totally sleeping yet" Jinyoung says, trying not to giggle at the kisses Gongchan was leaving along his bare legs. 

 

"What's that lump in your bed?" His mother asks, and he pales. The ticklish kissing also halts. "Uhm, I-I was cold so I got another blanket!" Jinyoung explains, smiling sweetly at his mother. "Why didn't you close the window if you were cold?" She asks, moving over to slip the window closed. "Uhm, I forgot" Jinyoung says bashfully, fiddling with the end of his duvet to cover up his reactions to Gongchan's kisses and touches. "Right. Well, I just wanted to tell you that me and your father are leaving now, and Tiffany is at her friend's house. You'll be all alone, so if you need anything, call us or your sister. Got it?" 

 

"Yepp. Have fun, Mom" Jinyoung smiles, waving slightly as she leaves the room. The door clicks shut and you can hear heels clicking down the stairs, and then the front door closing and locking at last. 

 

Gongchan pushes the covers away from him, sitting up quietly. "They're gone, right?" He asks, and Jinyoung nods, accomplished smile on his face. "And they won't be coming back until tomorrow?" Gongchan mumbles, resting his forehead on Jinyoung's, who shakes his head, smiling mischievously. 

 

Gongchan pulls away quickly and takes Jinyoung's hand, pulling him up and out of bed. Jinyoung reaches for his sweatpants, but Gongchan kicks them away from the redhead before he can reach them, shaking his head. "No pants for you", he smiles teasingly, and Jinyoung punches his chest in a teasing manner. Jinyoung then tiptoes up to kiss Gongchan, letting the kiss linger for a bit before breaking away and bolting towards his pants. The rest of their evening was spent watching movies and cuddling on the couch, secret kisses and touches exchanged in the wavering light.
