Chanyeol x Kyungsoo

Sometimes Chanyeol wonders, what Kyungsoo sees in him.

And wonders why it’s him who’s sitting cross legged in Kyungsoo’s minimalist but cozy living room, watching the other boy gets absorbed by the rerun show of some western band’s concerts on TV, their arms hooked and Kyungsoo’s fluffy hairs tickle Chanyeol’s nape, their breaths regular and calm, with Kyungsoo’s warmth soothes whatever chaos happening inside his head;

why him instead of Jongin the somewhat official High School’s Prince Charming, or Sehun the cute youngest guy in their year, or Junmyeon the CEO’s perfect son, or even Kris the foreigner who practically takes everyone’s breath away with his only presence. They’ve always been not very subtly showing their interest in Kyungsoo, despite knowing the boy already has a boyfriend - him.

But then Kyungsoo turns his head and brushes his cute nose against Chanyeol’s, mumbling something about you’re not listening to me were you, where were you going again hmmm? And Chanyeol is brought back to the present time, basking in the warmth bundled up in his arms.

He may not be the perfect guy for Kyungsoo, and they are not a perfect picture of ideal couple either. They work part time to pay the bills, living in a tiny flat near the outline of the city where sometimes the hot water pipes got troubles and they ended up freezing all the way to the school which is an hour away by subway. If there’s something he can brag about, it is that they had never been in a fight because of a third person in the relationship. And for Kyungsoo, that matters a lot, Chanyeol knows it too well. Honesty and faith, Kyungsoo needs them the most and Chanyeol is willing to provide him with abundant amount of affection and reassurance of devotion only for him. He proves it, Kyungsoo believes; and Chanyeol thinks, perhaps that’s what makes him deserve the love from the seemingly ethereal human being like Do Kyungsoo.
