Something's Wrong.
What She Never Told Himamazing.
“Wah,” Miyoon breathed out in awe. She was completely fascinated and taken away by their surroundings as she pulled her medical mask down over her chin, exposing her entire face. The aquarium Myungsoo had decided to go to was huge and that was only the exterior. They weren’t even inside the actual facility yet! So what captivated Miyoon so suddenly and powerfully? The two sculptures of the sea lions located on both sides of the door did.
They were beautifully constructed and the details were so intricate they made the statues look realistic. Miyoon couldn’t help but be amazed at the delightful pieces of artwork her eyes were feasting on. She had never come to such a place even as a child and now she was feeling like she had been missing out on a lot of things.
Miyoon knew what an aquarium was; she didn’t live under a rock. However, she never imagined it to be this spectacular. It was her first time here and she was more than jubilant. There were dozens of people already there, mostly families and their young ones or couples. When someone bumped into her, she remembered that they were out in public. Quickly, she repositioned her mask back over her face and adjusted the hat she had found in the closet.
Don’t get caught, Xiazi or who knows how nasty things will get with the media. Paranoid, Miyoon glanced over her shoulders to check if anyone had followed them. She had been doing this ever since they stepped outside of her house—or as Myungsoo believed their house.
When she spotted no one suspicious lurking around, Miyoon heaved out a large sigh of elation. “What are we waiting for, kajah!” Myungsoo exclaimed, grabbing onto her hand and then tugging her towards the ticket booth. “Couple special, please.” He announced politely. The man behind the glass looked up and nodded, clearly bored. Myungsoo happily slid the cash through the small opening before he hooked Miyoon’s arm around his.
She met his eyes and he smiled back at her. “Here you go,” the man was about to hand over their tickets when he froze dead on his spot. “A-aren’t you Myungsoo-sshi?” he stuttered.
Oh no. Miyoon thought, eyes widening. She was so busy about not getting herself caught she forgot Myungsoo was also practically another celebrity since he was Maerah’s lover. Babo, babo babo-ya! She mentally scolded herself. She whizzed her head to the man and Myungsoo nodded.
“You know me?” he asked, bewildered.
The man nodded, “You’re on nearly all the magazines my sister reads. She thinks you’re very handsome.” He praised.
“I’m on magazines?” Myungsoo was really lost as he turned to Miyoon for answers. She just shrugged though and he did the same. “That’s cool, I guess? May I have my tickets now?”
“O-oh of course!” the man laughed. His eyes then settled on Miyoon and his brows arched. “Is this your girlfriend?”
Don’t answer that! Miyoon shouted through her eyes.
“Geurae! She’s really beautiful,” Myungsoo immediately cooed without the slightest reluctance.
“Ah but why is she wearing…” his voice trailed off as he looked at Miyoon up and down.
“Oh the mask? She said she was feeling sick and she didn’t want to spread it to anyone. Isn’t that thoughtful of her?” Myungsoo explained admirably.
“Ah jinjja?” the man nodded understandingly before he slid the tickets to them. “Well, Myungsoo-sshi, Mae—” but before he could tell them to have a good time and to enjoy themselves, Miyoon broke out into a coughing and hackling fit, ceasing him from further speaking.
“Omo jagiya, gwenchana?” Myungsoo panicked, patting her back. She continued on with her little act as Myungsoo bowed to the man and led her inside. “Do you want water? Of course you do! Stay here and I’ll be right back!” Myungsoo ordered but seeing the coast was clear, she stopped and composed herself.
“I’m okay,” she assured. Miyoon was thankful that she had been quick on her feet; if that guy had called her Maerah, Myungsoo would have corrected him and told him her real name. If he heard about Myungsoo, the chances of him knowing about her were possible and she couldn’t risk that.
He blinked at her, “But you sounded like you were about to die out there.” He frowned.
“It’s over now.” She said and as she spun around, her eyes grew into shiny orbs at the phenomenal sight before her. Her heart went wild at all the aquatic creatures before her at the moment and she was really going to enjoy herself here even though there was plenty of water, she wasn’t scared because it wasn’t like the tanks were going to break or anything.
At one area, she could spot dolphins performing tricks in front of a large audience with their trainers. When they did well, they earned a snack and made that cute dolphin sound, causing Miyoon to smile beneath her mask. On the opposite end, she could see seals and sea lions doing the same thing and the crowd applauding and cheering. These two events were the only ones located outdoors as far as Miyoon could tell while the rest of the exhibits were located inside. This was cool and definitely entertaining for her.
She took a step forward to allow everything to sink into her mind. “This is amazing,” she whispered.
“I know.” Myungsoo joined in. Miyoon looked at him and he held out his hand. “Shall we set out on an adventure of a lifetime, my lady?” It sounded cheesy and corny, causing Miyoon to snort and laugh uncontrollably. At the end of it all however, she did not take his hand.
“Heck yeah!” she replied enthusiastically, allowing her feet to guide her to wherever. Myungsoo shook his head but still smiled as he walked after her. Miyoon skipped like a school girl into the building filled with small chattering and was even more impressed. She gaped at everything as she spun in circles repeatedly. She was totally lost in the place. Emotionally and mentally speaking she was.
The interior was grand and well decorated. It was dimly light by a dark blue lighting, reflecting the ocean. The sounds of the animals echoed along with the sound of
