Today is the day

Surprise

Today is the day.  I looked at my reflection in the mirror for the hundredth time today, feeling a bit conscious. I couldn’t help but pace back and forth across my room, wondering why he hasn’t called yet. Is he still doing some errands? Or is he still over at his mom’s store helping her? I couldn’t help but felt anxious to the point that I start biting my nails. I’ve been waiting all week for this day; waiting for a week to pass was dreadfully painful knowing that there’s a big surprise waiting for me once it’s over.

My boyfriend, Kim Myungsoo, he’s everything a girl wants. He’s caring, smart, kind and extremely good looking. No scratch that, extremely jaw dropping gorgeous. He might not have the wealth and my parents aren’t really fond of his family background, but I don’t care. No matter what, I’ll stick with him forever… even if I have to sacrifice all the wealth I have now. Not just the wealth, but everything. That’s how much I’m deeply in love with him.

The sound of my ringtone broke my train of thoughts. I stopped pacing and excitedly grabbed my phone from my bedside table. Taking a long deep excited breath, I finally answered.

“HyeJin-ah~” The way he sweetly said my name made all the anxiousness I’ve been feeling disappear in a mere second. A huge happy grin broke out on my face, Oh God. Now you see how this one man can affect me. It’s crazy.

“Yes?” I answered him, still grinning.

“Look out your window.” I swear I could feel him smirk over the phone, his signature smirk that makes every girl swoon. I tucked the phone between my chin and shoulder before opening my curtain. I smiled seeing the sight of the love of my life, standing there like a hopeless romantic Hill Billy, with a bouquet of beautiful red roses in his hands. He signaled for me to open my window, and I did as I was told.

“Why didn’t you just ring the doorbell and ask to go through the front door? It’s easier that way, you know.” I bit back a laugh.  He shrugged before giving me a sly smile “So, are you going to let me in or not?” He hollered. I playfully rolled my eyes and walked to my balcony, opening it up for him. Soon, he finally climbed and made it in my room. He gently placed the bouquet of roses on my bedside table before standing in front of me, “Happy 3rd year anniversary, baby.” He whispered softly.

I tried hard to hide my giddiness, but terribly failed when he starts laughing the minute he saw the expression on my face, “Someone is excited.” He laughs and wraps his protective arms around my waist, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear like he usually does whenever he tries to kiss me. He swiftly pulled me closer to him, his intense yet loving gaze never leaving my eyes. His eyes, those eyes that make me forget everything in a millisecond whenever they stare at mine. The way his dark brown eyes stares at mine lovingly, never fails to make every little molecules in my body melt into a puddle. I gulped nervously, thinking that what he meant by surprise is it.

He leaned in close to my ear, gently nibbling on it, making my cheeks flush red and my body tense. “A-are we..?” I mentally punched myself for sounding so scared, oh come on Lee Hye Jin! This isn’t the first time you had an intense physical contact with him. But this time, it’s different. Am I ready for this? I glanced at him one more time before deciding that I am ready. I’m ready to give him my all.
