SNSD were is the midst of their comeback and it was a hot response. They were lacking in sleep but this was what they had worked so hard for. Sooyoung needed a break and called the one person she knew would be there for her

Soo: Oppa? I’m not disturbing am I?
Si: Of course not, for you I always have time. Is there something wrong?
Soo: All this pressure is making me go crazy so I hoped you could help me take my mind of it
Si: Soo, you know it will only get busier from now on.
Soo: I know...
Si: Don’t worry about it, you can handle it, I know you... just think positively, you’re one step closer to your dream. Not only that but you have your family, friends, members and of course me cheering you on
Soo: ye...
Si: You’re smiling right cause you know I’m right
Soo: Shut up oppa
Si: you call me this late and now you’re telling me to shut up, you’re really something Choi
Soo: Thanks oppa.
Si: Anytime...

SNSD were the busiest now since their debut, they were asked to be on every show, every radio station, they were hot property. It was the last month of the year and the girls had just won the main prize at SMA. It was an emotional moment, the prize symbolised so many things. It wasn’t just an award but it was what they needed as proof of their hard work. They were filled with so many emotions and they couldn’t help but cry.

Si: Congrats Sooyoung ah! ^^
Soo: Thank you oppa! I couldn’t have done it without you
Si: you did all by yourself, I knew you could do it
Soo: Aish... can’t you just accept my gratitude?
Si: I will take it in the form of paid food
Soo: So demanding.

A few days after the 2 of them at a restaurant that Sooyoung had never been to before. It was a little out of town and was decorated especially for Christmas. Sooyoung was shocked as to why he had brought her there, but he said that he wouldn’t be able to see her on Christmas or even New Year ’s Day and he wanted to congratulate her on their win. She told him it was too much but he insisted. And Sooyoung said she was supposed to be treating him but he simply replied

Si: Don’t worry. You are.

The 2 enjoyed the meal, ignoring everyone around them. They reminisced on the year and what lay ahead of them. When they had finished Sooyoung had requested for the bill but was told by the waiter that it had already been paid. Sooyoung asked who and of course Siwon just flashed her his infamous smile. While waiting for the worker to retrieve their coats Sooyoung noticed a mistletoe above both of their heads. Sooyoung let in quickly placing a kiss on his cheeks.

Si: What was that for?
Soo: it would be bad to break tradition – she pointed upwards
Si: So silly

Sooyoung wanted to treat him so they stopped by a little coffee shop. It was quiet and warm, something which suited both of their tastes. Their conversation had gotten more deep

Si: Is there anything special you want for Christmas?
Soo: I just want to be able to spend time with friends and family, I haven’t been able to do it as much as I wanted this year
Si: That’s so simple
Soo: Well about you
Si: World domination of course.
Soo: of course Oppa, that too.
Moments like these always reminded her of the simple moments in like that stopped her from going crazy.
Soo: But seriously oppa what do you want.
Si: honestly... I want a sign.
Soo: A sign? Like a sign board
Si: not exactly
Soo: you’re talking weird now. Did you drink something funny?
Si: No I didn’t, and I kind of want the same thing as you. – he changed the subject.





February 2013 

SNSD and SUJU were on top of the world. They were now Kpop's biggest stars, a far cry from where they were many years ago. Over the years people came and went from their lives, some acquaintances to friends and friends to strangers. It was the aspect of the industry they had to cope with. Another thing they had to put with was the ridiculous invasion of their privacy. At the end o the day they were still like everyone else, trying to find themselves and trying to figure out what it was they really wanted in life, was it real the fame.

Sooyoung had worked extremely hard to reach her dreams along with her members and she felt right at this moment love was something she didn’t have time for. Although it did make her jealous how people of her age were able to experience that young love she had always dreamed about as a little girl, but when you’re part of Asia’s biggest girl group finding someone isn’t as easy as you would think. Just because she is what most dreams would want, they put her up on a pedestal, they think she can’t have anything wrong with her, as strange as it may seem, that sort of image is pressure for someone like her. What she needs is someone who sees her as Choi Sooyoung not as SNSD’s Sooyoung.  

June 2013

Sooyoung was spending some time alone with her beloved friend Siwon. She had known him since her trainee days. The definition of perfection.  He was handsome when they had first met and over time he grew into an even more charming man. He was kind, respectful, holy, wealthy and just god damn hot. If you wanted someone to introduce to your parents it would be him, if you wanted someone so you could get over ex, he would be the perfect choice. There were rumours that he had dated someone within the industry but that hadn’t lasted long. Despite his seemingly perfect traits, Sooyoung saw him as a friend that she could rely on, and to ensure there was nothing to complicate that relationship she instantly disregarded the idea that they could be anything more. And that enabled them to have a strong bond, they were able to comfort and laugh with one another.

Soo: Oppa I heard you were dating?
Si: Dating? I barely have time to sleep how can I date?
Soo: well you never know...
Si: If I was, you would know
Soo: Well if I was you wouldn’t ...
Si: Ya! Why not?
Soo: Just kidding!

Dating was something they hadn’t talked about in the past but lately it had been on Sooyoung’s mind. When she would be interviewed whether it be for a magazine or a TV show the topic of love would be included.

Nov 2013

Sooyoung was sat with her mother with her mother and it was clear she had something on her mind

MrsC: Sooyoung ah, is there something wrong?
Soo: Oh nothing much, I was just thinking about something...
MrsC: Anything I can help with
Soo: Well... I ...
MrsC: Go on...
Soo: How do you find the right guy? – her mum gave a heartily laugh
Soo: Why are you laughing
MrsC: Because I have been in your position before
Soo: So... what do I do Umma? I don’t think waiting for love is the way to go, nothing has happened.
MrsC: It’s not all about waiting for love. You think if you just sit there and wait for it, it will come running along, it doesn’t work like that my child
Soo: So what do I do?
MrsC: It’s not something you can plan. Love takes patience and effort, if you’re not willing to give time for it don’t think it will hang around.
Soo: I don’t think I have time of patience
MrsC: Soo, I know I am always nagging you to date but not for the reason you think
Soo: what is it then...
MrsC: Soo you’re at that age where people experience young love, the sort of love that you talk about when you’re old. The love that you can only experience once, where you spend hours dressing up for your first date, staying up late just to talk and sneaking around. That only happens when you’re young, that naive thinking of love occurs around your age. That’s something I want you to experience. I know you’ve grown up with a lifestyle so different from others but that doesn’t mean you can’t experience that sort of love.
Soo: Did you experience all that with dad?
MrsC: I did, and it wasn’t easy, there were times I felt like giving up, but I knew I couldn’t live without him

January 2014

Sooyoung had made a resolution. That this year she would find love. Some of her members had someone special in their life, whether it was dating they couldn’t really say but Seohyun was dating Yonghwa, she said it wasn’t dating but her members knew for a fact it was. 
Siwon had come across an interview in a magazine that Sooyoung had done recently which quoted her saying that this year she more open minded to the possibility of love.

Si: I read your article
Soo: Which one?
Si: The one about you having an open mind for love
Soo: Oh that
Si: Oh that? Care to elaborate
Soo: What do you mean Oppa?
Si: I mean, are you looking for love or something?
Soo: Not exactly looking but I’m not hiding from it now
Si: Hmm...
Soo: Maybe you could introduce me to someone oppa.
Si: I don’t think that would be a good idea
Soo: Why not?
Si: Erm... well, I don’t think that would be  good idea
Soo: Eh why? I’m sure you have many nice and possibly good looking friends
Si: No, no way!
Soo: Come on oppa! Pretty please....
Si: No no no no no – he began covering his ears like a 5 year old child while she grabbed his shoulders repeating the same words cutely
Soo: Pleaseeeee

March 2014
Sooyoung had been spending less time with Siwon and he wasn’t too pleased about it. They would see each other backstage but it seemed her mind was preoccupied. They had agreed to meet to catch up, Siwon decided to go but he wasn’t in the mood and Sooyoung could tell, however when she asked it made everything worse

Soo: Oppa, what’s wrong?
Si: it’s nothing
Soo: Really?
Si: Ye, it’s fine
Soo: You can tell me if something is wrong
Si: Ye... – he hesitated, but he decided not to say anything and carried on eating.

Si: Seems like you’re popular
Soo: What do you mean?
Si: Well every time I see you, you’re glued to your phone
Soo: I am?
Si: Ye...
Soo: Well... ah, never mind
Si: Go on, tell me...
Soo: I...
Si: Ye?
Soo: Well... I have been getting close to this guy lately and well
Si: Well...-  he seemed on edge
Soo: I think I like him
Si: Oh...
Soo: Oh, that’s all you have to say
Si: What else should I say? – he sounded somewhat harsh
Soo: I was hoping you could give me some advice
Si: I don’t really have any
Soo: Come on oppa, you must know what it’s feels like, you must like someone right now
Si: I’m not sure if I do
Soo: That’s because you’re too busy Oppa! – she joked
Si: Huh, maybe...

July 2014

There was news that Siwon’s father was not well and he was having a hard time coping. He wanted someone that could take his mind of his problems. But it didn’t turn out the way he expected. He was sat at home waiting for Sooyoung to come over, she had been so busy lately but she offered to stop by. She arrived with food of course. He was thankful she was there and that she took time out from her busy schedule to be there for him, but with the way she was he would have preferred she didn’t come at all.

Si: Why are you even here? – he couldn’t hold it in anymore
Soo: Wh... what did you just say?
Si: Why is it you’re here?
Soo: I’m here for you Oppa, why else would I be here?
Si: You’re here I can see that, but you’re mind is somewhere else – he said harshly
Soo: Oppa I don’t understand why you are saying that?
Si: Of course you wouldn’t you’re in your own little world!
Soo: I...
Si: You don’t get it, if you don’t want to be here and are just showing your face for the sake of it, you should
just leave.
Soo: I’m not here just for...
Si: But you are! Would have been here if I hadn’t asked?
Soo: of course I ...
Si: You didn’t even send me a text to see if I was ok... – he sighed deeply ‘ I guess I was expecting too much’
Soo: Oppa I ...
Si: Huh, don’t worry about it... Sooyoung, I think it’s best you leave.
Sooyoung didn’t know how to react, her mind was still processing what had happened, however her legs followed his orders obediently.

Sooyoung arrived home still in shock as to what happened. Never in their years of friendship had Sooyoung spoken to her in such a manner despite how angry he was with her.

October 2014

3 moths passed and Sooyoung and Siwon’s relationship had not gotten better. She did whatever she could to show her sincerity towards him. She didn’t realise how she had been acting towards Siwon the past couple of months until her members pointed it at. She felt sorry for her actions and wanted to make it up to him. She sent him his favourite food everyday and texted him constantly. He would ignore most of them but sometimes every so often he would reply would short answers. His father’s condition was getting better and all the emotions he kept inside he wanted to release. He went to a place where he didn’t think he would be disturbed. The night was clear as the stars twinkled above. The air blew ever so slightly somewhat singing a sweet lullaby to his surroundings. He looked at sight in front of him, the bright street lights lighting up the city, just for a moment he was able to get lost in his own thoughts, until a figure stood next to him catching him by surprise. Whether it’s be night or day, her beauty was undeniable in his eyes. He couldn’t be agry at her for a long time, mater of fact he wasn’t angry at all, he was just upset and confused

Si: How did you find me?
Soo: Everyone has been looking for you and that’s the first thing you ask me? Do you know how worried they are? how worried I am?! – she was angry yet relieved

Si: Well now that you’ve found me you can go home
Soo: you’ re such a pain in the ...
Si: I didn’t ask you to look for me
Soo: And what if something happened to you!?
Si: Well nothing did – he was still calm
Soo: Aish! What’s gotten into you? Oppa, don’t you think you’re being unreasonable, I have been doing all I can to prove how sorry I am, your members have been worried sick about you, you’ve not been yourself lately, it’s killing all those that care about you!! – she was close to tears but he didn’t respond
Soo: Fine if you want to mope and push everyone away you do that! – she was about to walk away when he mumbled something
Si: I’m... I’m just so tired Soo – she stopped in her tracks and turned back to see a man stood at her with eyes that were tired and defeated. She walked over to him and sighed
Soo: I know you are oppa. You’re allowed to be tired, you don’t have to act so strong all the time, I know how strong you are, there’s nothing wrong with relying on others.
Si: I don’t know what I would do without him – his voice cracked when he thought of his father
Soo: He’s not going anywhere, he’s at home, thinking about what a wonderful man his son has grown up to do, and I know he wouldn’t be happy if he knew you were doing this yourself – she comforted him. He didn’t know what to say and Sooyoung watched him sulk with his head down. She stepped closer to him wrapping her arms around his neck. He rested his head in between his neck and shoulder, he was shocked by her actions and kept his arms by his side at first.
Soo: You don’t need to try being the perfect person for everyone, you’re perfect just the way you are, you make everyone around happy so stop being such an idiot and let everyone else be there for you instead of doing everything by yourself. You’re so selfish you know that? – she scolded him cutely. He couldn’t help but feel touched by her kind words and not to mention how soothing it was to be hugged by her in that way, he felt safe and that everything was going to be ok. He didn’t say anything but he wrapped his arms around her and they stayed like that for a while, no words were needed. 

February 2015

The months that had passed Sooyoung and Siwon were back to their old relationship. They had worked everything out and they had even become closer. Ever since the incident with Siwon’s father, Siwon had a different outlook on life. He wanted to make sure that he lived in the moment making sure he didn’t regret anything or regret not even trying. Sooyoung and Siwon shared the same birthday and their members wanted to throw a surprise party for them. However that wasn’t the only surprise. There were a few guests there who wanted to get the attention on the birthday celebrants but there was one person who got most of the attention from Sooyoung and it was actor Ryu Sang Wook. And this didn’t go unnoticed by Siwon. That night they both enjoyed the party thrown for them, but it was definitely a night Siwon could not forget and for the wrong reason.

A week later Sooyoung and Siwon were meeting for their regular catch up, they weren’t able to talk much during their party so he thought they could talk since it was their day off. But when she walked through the door it wasn’t her who caught his attention but the guy she was it. He gave a fake smile.

Soo: I hope you don’t mind I bought Oppa with me – the wasn’t really paying attention to her since he was scanning Ryu from head to toe, she only caught his attention when she referred to Ryu as ‘Oppa’ so quickly.
*Since when were they close, I didn’t even know they were friends’ – he thought
Si: No it’s fine, I just didn’t know you were bringing
Soo: It was last minute, Oppa only told me this morning he was free because his schedule was cancelled
Si: Ah I see ...

Their little gathering was fun, for Sooyoung at least, Siwon spent the whole time analysing her body language and Ryu’s too, and he noticed instantly that this wasn’t just friendship. Sooyoung and Ryu left together as they had made plans for later on much to the disappointment of Siwon. He didn’t know why he was feeling that way, he should be happy that Sooyoung had a possible romance blooming.


April 2015

Sooyoung was nervous. Extremely nervous. She rang the one person she thought could help her in a situation like this.

Soo: Oppa! I need help
Si: ok, I’ll be right over

he arrived at SNSD’s dorm and was welcomed by Sooyoung in a bath robe and a somewhat panicked face. It turned out that it was a life threatening emergency and it was actually Sooyoung wanting is advice on what to wear He didn’t know why she would need his help, she was known as one of the best dressers in SNSD and frankly he believed she looked amazing in anything she wore.

Si: So you made me rush her because of this?!
Soo: Oppa! This is an emergency
Si: You’re really something! You had me worried
Soo: You’re here now so help me. Please!
Si: Fine – he looked through her wardrobe deciding what to pick out for her

Si: Shouldn’t you’re members be helping you out
Soo: I thought about that, but I thought it would be better to get a guy’s opinion, I mean as a guy you kind of have an idea of what you think would look nice on a girl on their date right?
Si: Ye I guess... wait did you say date?
Soo: Ye
Si: as in just 2 people romantic sort of thing
Soo: Yes oppa, what else could I possibly mean – she laughed at his non sense
Si: But... Who?
Soo: With Ryu oppa – she said happily
Si: With that guy?
Soo: That guy? What do you mean by that?  - she said with her back to him looking for the right pair of shoes
Si: Well, I didn’t think he would be your type
Soo: Do you not know me at all?
Si: What do you mean
Soo: He is exactly my type
Si: Eh! In what way??
Soo: He’s tall, handsome, funny, we have a lot more in common than I thought and did I mention he’s handsome – she teased
Si: you’re describing a lot of people in the world not just him
Soo; Aish oppa, stop and help me

They finally decided on an outfit, well Siwon was somewhat reluctant due to its length but Sooyoung assured him it was reasonable.

Si: he’s just going to stare at your legs – he whined
Soo: like what you’re doing right now – she teased
Si: Well... whatever
Soo: Oppa, thank you so much for helping me, I owe you big time
Si: ye you do

Siwon dropped Sooyoung off at the restaurant, he wanted to tell her to have a good time but he knew he would have been lying to himself.

That night Siwon received a phone call and he knew it could only go 2 ways

Si: Hey, how was it- there was a brief moment of silence which felt like an eternity for him
Soo: Oppa... it was so much better than I expected! Thank you for helping me get ready, he said I look really beautiful... aye oppa!! – she squealed like a little girl over the phone.
*I should be happy for her *- he reminded himself
He listened to her talk about every detail of the night, he was happy that Ryu took care of her but he didn’t think she would be so happy about one date.
 

October 2015

Sooyoung and Siwon’s friendship was how anyone would want their friendship to be. After the date she had with Ryu they went on a few more dates and 6 months later they were celebrating their 6 month anniversary. Throughout that time Sooyoung remained a good friend to Siwon who was worried she wouldn’t spend as much time with him because she would want to spend it with Ryu all the time but he was proven wrong. However whenever they did spend time together Ryu most of the time would tag along and he would feel like a 3^rd wheel but who was he too complain. Siwon was just happy because she was and as a friend he believed that’s all he could want.

December 2015

Sooyoung had been avoiding Siwon lately and he wasn’t happy about it. He visited her at her dorm and when she refused to open he banged and banged like a lunatic until she opened. It was when he saw her he realised that she wasn’t ok and it was probably the reason she was avoiding him.

Si: What’s wrong Soo? And before you say some lame excuse I suggest you save your breath and tell me
Soo: I ... I’m so confused
Si: What’s going on... – he seemed worried as he could see she had  been crying
Soo: Me and Oppa have been arguing lately, I don’t think it will work out. I think he wants to break up
Siwon looked at the fragile girl in front of him. He listened to her explanation and he knew it was something that could be solved. He wanted to tell her to give up and that she could do better but he didn’t want to give her that mentality of just walking away so he gave her some advice and stayed with her watching a film. He waited till she fell asleep and headed home.

 A week later Siwon was backstage relaxing before the SUJU concert began when there was an an unexpected visit. It was Sooyoung who had a bright smile plastered on her face, the smile he had grown so fond off.

Si: Sooyoung ah, why are you here?
Soo: am I not allowed to visit? – she joked
Si: I just wasn’t expecting to see you
Soo: I came here to say thank you, I am going to Japan tomorrow so this was my only opportunity to say thank you. Me and Ryu oppa worked everything out and you were right, we just needed to talk to one another.
Sooyoung hugged him tightly to show her appreciation. She even bought him his favourite dessert. He had hoped to see her during the holiday season but for that year it was the final time he saw her due to their busy schedules.

January 2016

Mid way through the month there were rumours going round that Siwon would be enlisting in the army the month after, Sooyoung took no notice of this since there were always rumours like that going round. However when she spoke to her members they had confirmed the rumours were true. She called him straight away despite it being the early morning. They met at a small cafe out of town

Si: Why did you ask me to meet you so early in the morning
Soo: I heard you’re going in the army next month? – she said sternly
Si: So you heard
Soo: It’s true? – she was shocked
Si: Ye it is
Soo: Why didn’t you tell me? – she sounded angry
Si: I just wanted to keep it on the down low, plus I know how busy you have been, I didn’t want to burden you
Soo: Burden me? You would never burden me! I can’t believe you told me a month before your enlistment!
Si: Soo it’s only 2 years – he said trying to make the situation better
Soo: Only?! Oppa!
Si: I’m sorry I didn’t tell you ok? Don’t be angry with me
Soo: Hul... – she sighed knowing she couldn’t be angry at him knowing he would be leaving so soon
Soo: I’m not angry at you oppa, I’m just sad that you didn’t tell me sooner so we could spend more time together before you leave me for 2 years! – she pouted
Si: I’ll be back before you know it ...

February 2016

Before she knew it, it was the day before Siwon’s enlistment.
She wanted to give him a call but she wasn’t even sure if he would pick up, he was probably getting himself ready or was with s, but despite her doubt he did pick up

Soo: Oppa – she said with a hint of sadness
Si: Hey Soo
Soo: I’m not disturbing am I?
Si: No, it’s fine I was planning on calling you later
Soo: I guess I beat you to it – she joked lamely
Si: You ok Soo? You sound down
Soo: Well wouldn’t you be if I left for 2 years
Si: I guess you’re right
Soo: I don’t know what I would do without you Oppa
Si: You have so many people around you to look after you while I’m not here
Soo: it’s not the same
Si: Aye, don’t make it harder for me that it already is
Soo: I’m sorry oppa, it’s just I will miss you so much.
Si: I’ll miss you too.
Soo: Come back quickly ok?
Si: I will and work hard while I’m good, I’ll be keeping an eye on you. Don’t do anything stupid!
Soo: Of course not – she argued.
They talk for another hour and she knew he had to get a goodnight sleep despite wanting to spend more time talking to him
Soo: I should go oppa, you need to sleep
Si: Mm – he agreed reluctantly
Soo: I’ll see you when you get back
Si: Absolutely

That night Sooyoung couldn’t sleep thinking about Siwon going into the army. She decided not to mention to him she had broken up with Ryu knowing he would be concerned for her and she didn’t want that on his last day. She had pushed her thoughts of the break up aside as Siwon’s enlistment grew closer. There were so many questions running through her mind. The thought of Siwon not being there had never occurred to her mainly because he was always there for her and it was something she never had to experience.  She reminisced on the times they spent together no matter how big or small they were moments that she always enjoyed. She knew that in 2 years a lot could change, she prayed that he would be safe and return home quickly. 

I was planning on making it a one shot, but i don't think i can finish it all in one so expect 2 or more chapters :)
