EDITED

Sunny brought Jessica to the playground and sat her facing away from Taeyeon and Hyoyeon. Feeling clueless about what was happening she took a quick look back at the two and saw Hyoyeon viciously beating up two guys at the same time. Sunny who caught her quickly turned Jessica’s head back facing the other way.

“Don’t look.” Sunny said coldly.

“Why what’s wrong?” Jessica asked in confusion.

“It’s hard to explain, but they’ll be okay.” Sunny stuttered and looked at the parents franticly pulling the kids back to their cars.

“Are you okay?” Jessica looked at Sunny who face started to turn pale.

“I’ll be fine.” Sunny closed her eyes.

Jessica felt concerned about Hyoyeon. Even though Sunny told her not to worry, it was hard not to. She felt uneasy just sitting there so she looked back at the sisters. Her heart began to pound more and more as she saw Hyoyeon fighting off the guys. Though she didn’t get hit many times, the blows she did take made Jessica’s heart hurt, every time getting worse. Unable to bear the pain, she faced back the other way and held her chest tightly. She knew now that the feelings she had weren’t merely a delusion she made for herself but quite real. Tears fell from her eyes as she realized the harsh truth, the girl she fell for will never look at her as more than a roommate.

Sunny felt hurt as the memories of her past came flooding back to her. Unable to cope with the images any longer she opened her eyes. Concerned about her best friends she took a quick glance back at them and saw Taeyeon take a blow to the head. She grasped her chest tightly and turned away as her memories came back.

“Tae! What are you doing?!” I franticly asked her.

“Stay out of this, Sunny.” Taeyeon turned her attention back to a group of guys.

“Bring her home Sooyoung!” Hyoyeon yelled as she threw another over her shoulder.

“Come on Sunny, let’s go home.” Sooyoung turned my shoulders around.

Taeyeon and Hyoyeon are doing this again?! It’s the third fight this week. I’m tired of going home waiting for them. They make me worried sick. I turned myself and looked at my best friends. Sooyoung stood next to me waiting. I can’t take this anymore. I ran for them. This needs to stop now.

She shook herself away from the past and looked back at the playground. A guy came from the left holding a club angrily. A little frightened she yelled for her.

“TAAEEE!!”

Taeyeon and Hyoyeon released their fists as Sunny brought Jessica away from the mayhem that was about to break lose. Thinking that the girls were nothing more than wanna-be heroes, the head lackey only sent two people.

With the first swing aiming for Hyoyeon’s head, she dodged it flawlessly and grabbed the man’s arm twisting it, pulling him towards her and kicking his chest with full force. He stumbled down and held his arm in fear of it being dislocated. To his surprise it was fine but the pain over came him.

“I’ll give you a chance to walk away. If not, then I will not be held responsible for any broken parts on your body.” Hyoyeon growled.

Snickering at her words, the man stood back up and launched himself on her. She blocked easily and went through her set of techniques. Within a blink of an eye, he lay on the dirt holding his dislocated arm and broken leg.

Taeyeon blocked the other man’s attack easily. She waited for him to come at her, and he did. Unlike her sister, she didn’t give him an option of running away. Instead, she went straight for his head. Punching him straight in the face, he felt back and went through her moves. He felt on his knees and held is arm that was broken in two places.

The other men looked at each other and then at the head. He nodded and they all went for the two girls at the same time. Swiftly blocking and dodging most of their attacks, Hyoyeon countered. She took one more man down until she took a blow on the right side of her ribs. Quickly recovering to her stance, she grabbed the man’s baton and pulled him towards her, welcoming him with a knee to the face, taking down a total of three men.

Taeyeon jumped back as a man stabbed for her stomach. Hastily getting back to her feet, she grabbed his arm and flung him over her shoulder, charging for the one right behind him. She dodged his kick but got hit in the left side of her head with the baton. Quickly getting back to her senses, she kneed him in the groin following by an uppercut to the stomach. Fuming with anger she went straight for the third man until she heard Sunny scream for her.

“TAAEEE!!”

Taeyeon jolted her head towards the playground and saw the man coming for Sunny but in the midst, the man swung his baton at Taeyeon’s left side and s

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
