You are my Sunshine

Description

Lee Stormi is the girl who had it all, and lost it all. All because of a car wreck that killed her mother, father, and two younger brothers. She also had a best friend, who commited suicide. She had always blamed herself for everyone's death. She is gorgeous, smart, but refuses to let anyone into her life because she is afraid of losing people she loves again. Until she meets Jo Kwon.  He is the social new kid who will talk to anyone, and anywhere.  He loves to make people laugh and is determined to see her smile.

Foreword

"Omma, Appa? Why aren't you moving?"  A small girl calls, her round face scratched and bloodied. Crawling on hands and knees she made her way over to her mother who was trapped under the leather seat of their family Toyota.

"Stormi..." The girl's mother's voice was hoarse and as she opened a red bubble popped, splashing blood on the small girl's terrified face.

"O-Omma?" The girl crawled around in the rubble, avoiding broken glass and the leather seat that was once below her. Her mother was under the passenger's seat.

 "Please, smile for me dear..."

The small girl gave a sad smile, "Omma, come on, wake up Appa and EunAh, and let's go home." She placed her hand on her mother’s face and the soft flesh pale from blood loss. Tears escaped the child’s eyes, landing on her mother.

The woman looked up slowly, "I can't do that sweetheart. Pl-please-" her mother's voice got quieter.

"...remember…to see a rainbow you have to wait through the rain..." A soft thud sound sounded so loud in the sickening silence. Her mother’s head hit the concrete and she screamed; screamed for her mother, father, and siblings who couldn’t hear her.

~*~

“Unnie, why did you want to go to the Han River today?"  The young teen asked happily, her face bright with a smile. The two were walking along the bridge over the Han River. The older girl looked down sadly before locking eyes with her best friend.

"I can't handle it anymore Stormi..."

Her smile faded into a frown of confusion, "What do you mean?" A sinking feeling fell into place in Stormi’s stomach as Sun Mi climbed up the wall of the overpass bridge. She faltered slightly, swaying in the wind as cars zoomed past.

The older girl smiled sullenly, " An ending to start a beginning is probably the best way to say,” Sun Mi turned to look over her shoulder shakily, “It's so nice to have known you Lee Stormi" With one last breath of reassurance, the older girl threw herself over the edge of the bridge.

Stormi felt so helpless standing there as she watched another close person die. Her chest heaved and she shook violently, “No!”

She screamed in agony and fell to her knees. Hitting the ground with a light thud, causing a scene, she began to take off her jacket to jump in after her.

“I’m better off dead!” She screamed as people who had seen this exchange tried to keep her back. Arms and legs were flailing as she tried to reach the edge of the bridge like Sun Mi.

“Let. Me. Go!” She clipped her words angrily, but eventually gave in when an ambulance’s sirens cut through the sound of traffic and water.

-Girl's Body found in Han River-

She looked to be about 16, but why?

The Newsletter seemed way too short for what actually happened.
