"Captain!" my first mate yelled. 

"What is it Junhyung?" I asked annoyed that he was yelling right in my ear. 

"There's a ship straight ahead," he said franticly. I was very grateful that he stopped yelling. "Keep going they will soon realize what ship this is," I said 

very smug. This ship, the one that I am on, the Queen Star, is the most feared 

ship that sails the seven seas.

"Aye," said Junhyung. I looked ahead and saw the ship straight ahead. As 

predicted, it was turning around. ‘Not so fast,’ I thought. Nobody sees my ship 

and lives to tell tale. "Full speed ahead!'' I yelled.

We eventually caught up to the ship and attacked. "Hello, I am Captain Lee. 

As you know I am the most feared pirate to ever sail the seven seas. You need to 

understand that I do not kill. I only take hostage and then sell them that is, 

after they loose their memories'. But, that is only bad pirates. Ones that do 

kill. As I can see, you are not bad," I stopped my speech when I saw a little 

girl about three look at me with big, beautiful, brown eyes full of fear. I instantly 

forgot I was taking over a ship and went up to her. 

"Hello there little one, what's your name?" I asked softly careful not to scare 

her. 

"Eun Hee" she said shyly 

"Well Eun Hee, my name is Ailee and I'm the captain of that ship. Where's your 

mother and father?" 

"Daddy is the captain of this ship and right now he is in his headquarters and I 

don't have a mommy," she said looking away. 

"Junhyung! Bring me Eun Hee’s father!" I yelled

"Aye Captain," Junhyung said. My crew, unlike other pirate ships I have met, respect me. 

They're not afraid of me and I trust them with my most important secret.  

When the captain came out, I swear that I nearly fainted. He is the most 

handsome man I have ever seen. With his black cropped hair and his beautiful 

brown eyes. He looks muscular but not really buff and not very lean. 

"Eun Hee!" the captain yelled. 

"Hi daddy," Eun Hee said casually

"What are you doing? I thought I told you to stay in your room!" he said 

worried. 

"Sorry daddy," she said 

"Its fine sweetie," he said. Then he turned to me and said,"So, you're the scary 

captain, the demon of the sea," he said amusement clear in his voice. Offended, 

I replayed,"Aye, I never knew I had a new name, and why do you find that so 

funny?" I ask angrily. 

"Well it's obvious that you are a lady!" he exclaimed

"Lady or not people still fear me and never dare challenge me," I said through 

clenched teeth, this man is making me very mad.

"Okay, just let my crew, daughter and myself go and we won't bother you," he 

said still amused. He thinks he can just get away knowing one of my secret? Well 

at least he doesn't know about The Angel of the Sea. 

"Sorry, nobody sees my ship and lives to tell the tale," I said glaring at the 

captain whose name I have not learned. 

"I thought you said you don't kill!" exclaimed a crew member from his ship. 

"I don't but I make sure that all of you disappear and are declared dead. Then 

you live your life with a new name you also loose your memories'. All you'll 

remember is that you are all friends and, for your old captain, Eun Hee is your 

daughter. I've never done this because the ships I run into usually burn 

themselves and the crew dies so you might forget your names' for awhile," I 

explained. I did that to every ship I run into. As I opened my mouth, the 

captain asked,"How many ships have you made contact with?"

"Only four, including you," I said with a shrug. 

 "Junhyung! Bring this captains crew on to our ship!" I demanded. I never said my 

ship because without my crew I would never be able to sail. My crew and I are 

like a family and very close. If you mess with one of us you mess with all of 

us. 

"Ailee?" Eun Hee said pulling me out of my thoughts. 

"Yes Eun Hee?" I asked sweetly

"What are you going to do to daddy's crew?" she asked scared. 

"I'll welcome them into my family." I said sincerely. I really look forward to 

having this crew on my ship for some reason.

Once everybody was off the Morning Sun I sent five of my crew members to pour 

gasoline on the ship. When they came back to the Queen Star, we set it on fire. 

I didn't want to watch the ship burn so we went back on our course. When I 

turned back to my new members the ship I smirked. This is going to be very fun.                   

I took this time to observe the new crew. They don't look like other 

pirates. They look to nice. My gaze landed on Eun Hee. She looked so frightened I 

felt so bad. I decided that since I'm keeping them on my ship I might as well 

tell them how things work here. 

"Okay, as you know, I'm Captain Lee. My first mate, Junhyung, is the man you 

should go to if you have any questions. Dinner is in two hours. After dinner we 

go onto the deck for music.  That is all," I said dismissing them. 

"Do we get to hear how you became a pirate?" Eun Hee’s father asked. I stopped in 

my tracks and tensed.  

"No, not while Eun Hee is here. My story is very gruesome," I said remembering the 

horrid memory.

"Junhyung, show the new members of our ship their cabins!" I yelled in his ear. 

Junhyung flinched and I smirked. 

I went back to my cabin and sat at my desk. I decided to write in my diary. 

After about an hour of writing, I heard a knock at the door. 

"WHAT?!?" I yelled. Junhyung came in with Eun Hee and her dad behind him. 

"Captain, I was showing them to their rooms and they had separate rooms so when 

I showed the girl her room her father insisted to share with her. What should I 

do?" Junhyung asked. 

"Give them the biggest room," I said 

"The biggest room is your room. Do you mean the second biggest?" he asked. I 

wanted to say "duh", but instead I replied,"Yes," with that, they left me to 

think.

I fell asleep after that, and when I woke up, it was dinner time, so I got up 

and entered the dining hall. When I got there, I saw everybody laughing and 

eating. I involuntarily smiled and went to sit down at the head of the table. 

When I sat down, the laughter died down, and everybody but the new crew looked 

at me. When they saw what everybody was doing, they did the same. 

"Okay crew, I am proud of all of you. You have been keeping this ship running 

for five years today!" I said yelling at the end. There was a loud roar of 

cheers from the crew except the new members. "For the new people here, we do 

this every dinner," I explained. 

During dinner, we talked and got to know each other. I learned Eun Hee’s father's 

name is Nam WooHyun and he has been sailing all his life. 

After dinner, WooHyun took Eun Hee into their room for bed. Eun Hee is borrowing some clothes from me so she can sleep comfortably. When WooHyun came out, he sat down on the floor with everybody else for music. As we were just about to start, WooHyun asked,"How did you become a pirate?" Everybody went quiet, and all eyes were on me. I sigh, this is the question I have been dreading. 

"I was six," I started,"I lived in a palace in Korea, as the princess. When I 

turned six, the palace was attacked, my parents were killed and I was taken 

hostage along with Junhyung. He was twelve at the time," I was about to continue 

when WooHyun interrupted me. 

"That's not possible! The princess was declared dead! My father died looking for 

her!" He said anger in his voice. I felt sorry for him. 

"Well obviously I'm not dead," I said as I lifted my hair and showed him the 

back of my neck where there was a birthmark in the shape of a crown. "See, I'm really the princess," I said. "As I was saying, we 

were abducted by a pirate who was very mean. His first mate, Lee Sungyeol, was 

actually very nice and raised me. He taught me how to fight, he taught me how to 

read, write, play piano, and all academic things," I said smiling,"He was the 

father that really loved me and I loved him. Sadly, he died because the captain 

thought he was to close to me. I was angry and challenged him to a duel. I took 

all the moves I learned from Sungyeol appa and won. I was made the captain of that ship 

and everybody was scared of me," I said with a frown. 

"About five years later, that ship was set on fire. I hated the crew, but, I 

don't think people deserve to die, so, I tried to get everybody off. Only Junhyung 

wanted to get off, so, I left giving up and that crew died. Junhyung and I swam 

until we reached Spain. Mind you, I was eleven at the time so when we got to 

Spain, all I wanted to do was sleep, so when we reached Japan, I just stayed in 

the sand and fell asleep for about a day and a half," I said. 

"We were in Japan for about three years, before I met somebody,"I said 

remembering him. "He was so charming and caring and I fell in love with him. One 

day, he was gone. I remember walking to his house and all I found was a little 

girl on his bed. She looked about seven months old. I picked her up and went 

looking through the rest of the house and saw that he was already married. I was 

so devastated that I left the house in a rush, leaving the little girl. I 

eventually came to my senses and went back to the little girl. I adopted her and 

we became a family." I said with a slight smile. "What did you name her?" asked 

a new member. "Jiyeon," I said smiling "She preferred Ji Ji," I finished 

with tears forming in my eyes. I really missed my little girl and I won't stop 

looking for her. "Where is she? Did she grow up and leave?" WooHyun asked

"No," I said in a grim voice,"pirates took her when she was five." 

There was a long pause, then WooHyun said, “Does this have anything to do with you becoming a pirate?” When he asked that the rest of the crew left to give us some privacy. They knew this story very well and would probably fill in the new crew members in later.

I then laughed a bitter laugh then said, “Yes, it has everything to do with me becoming a pirate. I have spent the last two years trying to find my daughter, but every time I get close, it ends up being a dead end.” 

At this point I was sobbing, thinking of Jiyeon’s beautiful smile, her adorable dimples, and her contagious laughter. WooHyun came closer to me and pulled me into his arms. He my hair and whispered comforting words but none of them seemed to work, until he said, “I will help you find your daughter. I promise.” I have heard that many times but for some reason, when he said it, I felt reassured, I felt like he would really help me. He then kissed my forehead and I got butterflies in my stomach. ‘What is this feeling?‘ I thought. Am I sick?
