At the day of their day-off Jessica decided to take Onew for some shopping.

 

“C’mon hurry up you little marshmallow” Jessica jumped for joy

 

“Can you at least help me with this?” as he showed her some shopping bags- courtesy of non-other than Miss Jessica Jung.

 

“Oh don’t be such a sissy boy… Let’s go” as she dragged him around the mall.

 

Onew was too tired so he decided to leave the bag at the bag counter area. Then a store caught his little chinky eyes. “It was a Book Store that he used to work in”, obviously it’s the only way to get away from his sisters nagging plus he could buy a new book for his collections.

 

He was looking for something to read when he saw a little boy trying to shop-lift. He was hesitant whether to stop him or not, but it’s like the boy is not used to doing this kind of things. So he approached him slowly, in order not to startle him- he might get away if he does that.

 

Then the little boy noticed him, he tried to walk away, but he was stopped by Onew.

 

“Hold it” as he take a hold of the boy

 

“I won’t ask how you got in here all by yourself, and who your parents are. But I’m sure you know that shoplifting is a crime” as he slowly puts his arms around the boys shoulder

 

The boy didn’t answer but just looked down feeling sorry of what he did. He sighed feeling sorry for the boy and said.

 

“Why don’t’ we talk about it?” He knelt down and patted him “Since you don’t look like someone who belongs to the city jail… let’s make a deal”

 

The boy faced him feeling all happy inside. Onew took the boys bag and it taking all the books he stole.

 

“If you return everything you took and if you promised not to shoplift again, I’ll let you go.” As he handed him the things he had stolen.

 

“Let me take a look again” as he examined one more time on the books. It was all story books not until he found a mini Dictionary. He felt sorry for the kid and sighed. He took something in his pocket and offered the boy some money.

 

“Here…” he offered the dictionary with  the money in it “pay this at the cashier, you’re lucky I just got my salary. But promised me you won’t do it again okay?” he patted his head

 

“Thank you” the boy finally said it with a smile in his face

 

“Go hurry now” he smiled

 

*Clap Clap Clap* a certain person clapped behind him that startled him for a bit.

 

Then a beautiful girl dressed in a cute, but formal black attire started approaching him. She was gorgeous as hell. It was as if a lucky day for him to see a very lovely girl

 

“Is that the store policy for shoplifters?” she asked with smiling eyes

 

“It won’t help if we bring the kid to the police. He doesn’t look like a regular shoplifter” he said with an innocent tone

 

“Even so…” she crossed her arms “you might end up getting in trouble for letting him go… or even get fired”

 

“Actually I don’t work here… well basically I used to work here... Fired?” he eyed her “I helped them avoid a scandal, and they even earned from me. I mean did some of the employees noticed that boy was trying to shoplift? The truth is--” he was cut off by the girls statement.

 

“Actually, if you were still to work here, this Bookstore is indebted to you. The owner should give you a reward, so why not work here anymore?”

 

“That’s right! But it won’t happen because Mr. Park is so stingy. I could be lucky if he offered me a much longer lunch break.” He said in annoyance

 

“You know what you look cute, when you’re mad” she smiled

 

He was shocked by her sudden changed of words. It’s as if butterflies were starting to form in his stomach.

 

“ahm.. Excuse me, but do enjoy you’re shopping here” as he started returning some books and walk away

 

“Wait…” he stopped as he heard her say. She started approaching him again and faced him. “Let’s talk about this reward. He was confused by what she’s saying. “Excuse me, again” as he was about to leave, when

 

“Ahm wait…” the girl reached out for him

 

“Ms. Park” another guy called out

 

Both of them faced the guy who called. It was the manager of the store Mr. Choi Sungmin.

 

“Oh Onew, you’re here. So you must’ve meet Ms. Park.” The guy said

 

“Mr. Lee here (referring to Onew) used to be one of our senior employees here.” As he faced the girl

 

“Mr. Lee Jinki this is Ms. Park Jiyeon, daughter of the owner of this big bookstore (The biggest bookstore in Seoul). She just got back from the U.S. Oh by the way Ms. Park how was your inspection”

 

Onew was definitely shocked by what the manager had just said. You mean the girl he was talking to just now was the daughter of the owner of the store that he used to work plus a total humiliation for bad-mouthing the owner!

 

Jiyeon faced Onew and said “Well, I’m sure my father Mr. Park would be really happy that you used to have great employees here. Good work Mr. Choi” as she shook the managers hand

 

“Thank you ma’am, much appreciated” Mr. Choi said

 

“And Onew right?” she asked a shocked and nervous Onew in front of her

 

“Ye-ah..ah-am..I’ll go ahead ma- ma’am” he stuttered

 

“I’d like to have a word with you…in private” as she faced the manager signaling him to go back with his work

 

“Oh... I should be going now, tour some more Ms. Park” then the manager went on his way

 

“Ma’am, I’m really sorry. I didn’t know that-”

 

“Have you had lunch?” she asked all of a sudden

 

“What?” he asked innocently

 

“Lunch! After breakfast, usually done in the middle of the day” she answered innocently. He was sure does not what she meant by her answer but he went with the flow anyways

 

“Not yet ma’am” he said

 

“Good! Then have lunch with me, I’m hungry”

 

“But…”

 

“Why, are you going to turn me down, because it’s very unusual for a girl asking a guy out?”
