Weeks had passed since the elevator incident, and Yongsun struggled to keep her feelings at bay. She buried herself in work, hoping to distract herself from the ever-present ache in her chest. During a routine meeting, Moonbyul presented a proposal for a new project that Yongsun had been eager to kick start. She listened intently, dazzled by Moonbyul's passion and confidence. "That sounds amazing," she said, her voice filled with admiration. "I can't wait to see it come to fruition." Moonbyul beamed at her, her eyes sparkling with pride. "Thank you, CEO Kim. I'm confident that this project will be a huge success." Yongsun felt a pang being called that name. She wanted Moonbyul to call her by her first name, to let her in completely, but she knew that was impossible. Especially in a meeting with board members and employees. As the meeting wrapped up, Yongsun lingered behind, watching as Moonbyul gathered her things and headed towards the door. She hesitated for a moment before calling out to her. "Moonbyul, can we talk for a moment?" Moonbyul turned to face her, curiosity etched on her face. "Of course, CEO Kim. What's on your mind?" You. Yongsun took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. "I just wanted to say that I'm impressed with your work ethic, your talent. I know we've had our differences in the past, but I want you to know that I...respect you." Moonbyul's face softened, and she took a step closer and bowed to her. "Thank you, CEO Kim. That means a lot." Yongsun wanted to say more, to spill her heart out and confess her love, but she knew she couldn't. She smiles weakly and made her way to her office, her thoughts consumed by Moonbyul, her heart breaking a little more with each passing moment.
