Crossing the Parallel Paths
Today was the day much anticipated by Nari who yearned to escape from homework and the responsibilities of a student. Today was the day dreaded by Taeyong as it signalled the commencement of his lonesome days. Today was the day where the school buzzed with excitement and sorrowful goodbyes as the graduating students flooded the courtyard after the principal finished giving his goodbye speech.
Yawning loudly and not bothering to cover , Nari draped her body over the windowsill of her classroom, having found the perfect position to witness Seulgi in all her glory as she finally decided to confess to the senior. Nari’s classroom was situated on the third floor so it was not ideal to see the full details of the events unfolding out in the courtyard but Nari did not mind.
It was rather cliche in Nari’s opinion to confess on graduation day but Seulgi had always been the hopelessly romantic one and it often provided good entertainment; such as now. Nari sniggered at how flustered and tense Seulgi looked as she extend her arms to present the handmade scarf. Although Nari could not see the senior’s expression, from the way his arms flailed, it showed that he was surprised. Nari then glanced at her hands and gingerly grazed the blisters that had formed on her fingers from helping Seulgi knit the darned scarf.
