Crossing the Parallel Paths
Taeyong had always dreaded the day Johnny would graduate from elementary school. The days without the older boy felt empty and lonesome. By now all of Taeyong’s classmates had formed their own cliches and Taeyong himself had the reputation of exclusively hanging out with older students so no one tried or bothered to approach him.
At the same time, it could be argued that Taeyong was not exactly trying hard to make new friends. He reasoned though that he did not have a choice and just inherently could not mingle with them. Thus, during his last two years of primary education, Taeyong spent it in the company of a trusted book while hiding himself in a corner of the library whenever it was break time so as to not be disturbed.
Nari on the other hand was a whole other story. She did not actively attempt to befriend her classmates and in fact her brash and sometimes violent actions did scare off the more shy and soft-spoken kids. However, her attitude of nonchalance and lack of judgment towards others allowed her to easily integrate with her class and was a welcomed presence.
Over time, Nari had gained some fame for herself, becoming known as the girl that was the complete opposite of her name. When people hear the name Noh Nari and are unfamiliar with her, their first assumption is that she will be a delicate girl who is always prim and demure, with hobbies that invol
