Commission

"Isn't he just a sugar daddy?"

"What?"

"That young master Cho Kyuhyun, isn't he just your sugar daddy at this point?"

Jongwoon laughed until his stomach ached at his friend's question.

"W-What even inspires you to reach that silly thought?"

"What doesn't inspire you to think that? Jongwoon, seriously, that dude pays you a hundred thousand won every week just to see you draw gibberish doodles? If that isn't a sugar daddy then I don't know what is."

Heechul quickly apologized when his friend glared at him.

"Alright, alright, that dude pays you a hundred thousand won every week just to see you draw absolutely gorgeous arts. The point is still the same. Cho Kyuhyun is your sugar daddy!"

"Nonsense, Heebongie, he is just my client commissioning my arts. Our faculty holds a commission donation drive now so this is perfectly normal."

"It is until he started to commission you to draw his freaking bedroom!"

"Hey, what's wrong with him wanting to have a drawing of his bedroom!"

"Everything is ing wrong when he kept telling you to add more details until it was late and you had to stay a night at his house and slept in his bed!"

"He's just very detail-oriented and kind-hearted."

"And you're very stupid, Jongwoon, saying that you're naive is definitely an understatement. Also, you better stay away from that if you still value your ity."

"I'm not naive," Jongwoon pouted, "and don't speak of Kyuhyun like that! Kyuhyun is the most innocent person I've ever met!"

"Jongwoon… Have you lost your mind!? Cho Kyuhyun? Innocent? Ridiculous!"

"Heebongie!"

While the two males were arguing with each other, a young woman approached them.

"Jongwoon, Heechul, have you seen Kyuhyun? We have to give him this certificate as the number one donator but we can't find him."

"No, we haven't seen him but I know how to summon him."

Heechul moved to sit beside Jongwoon. He put his arm around the black-haired man's shoulder and leaned in as if he would kiss him. Suddenly, a lanky brown-haired man appeared out of nowhere and sat down between the two friends.

"Jongwoon," Kyuhyun beamed brightly, "I want to commission you to draw a new pot plant at our regular cafe. Let's go!"

"There he is," Heechul rolled his eyes, "our greatest saint Cho Kyuhyun who donates almost five million won in the past three months by commissioning our angel Kim Jongwoon to draw totally not useless things."

Kyuhyun ignored the sarcastic praise. He only paid attention to the black-haired man who nodded eagerly while packing his stuff. Jongwoon stood up and threw his bag over his shoulder. Holding a drawing board up so that only his eyes were seen, Jongwoon tilted his head innocently at Kyuhyun. The gentle afternoon light shone on him and greatly enhanced his beauty.

"Let's go! The lighting now is really beautiful, we'll definitely get the best drawing done."

"Yes, really beautiful…"

Kyuhyun said dazedly while staring at the black-haired man. Though he quickly regained his wit when Jongwoon pouted at him for being slow. The taller caught up to the shorter and they walked away together hand in hand (because Kyuhyun convinced Jongwoon that holding hands increased your creativity).

"Is it alright letting him go with Kyuhyun alone?" The young woman asked.

"Of course not," Heechul sighed, "but I can't help a bunny that willingly and naively hops into a lion den, can I?"

**************************************

"There, I finished it."

"What!? But it's only thirty minutes!?"

"Well, you don't need that much time drawing a single pot plant, right?"

"That's true… but…"

Kyuhyun secretly groaned in frustration. His eyes darted around the cafe trying to find a new item to use as an excuse to spend more time with his cute artist. However, he couldn't find a single one because Jongwoon already drew literally everything in the cafe as per his past commissions. He got impatient because his crush was putting away his drawing equipment and would probably leave soon. He had to find an excuse now!

"Wait! Don't go yet! I'm gonna commission you to draw another picture!"

"Huh? Haven't we already drawn everything in this cafe?"

"That…" Kyuhyun wanted to pull his hair so badly, "ehm… I know! Draw me! I want another portrait drawing!"

"Kyuhyun," Jongwoon giggled, "aren't you tired of that yet? In the past three months you've already commissioned me to draw more than a hundred portraits! Not to say that all of them are the same pose too, what with you smiling and staring straight ahead!"

"Well…"

Kyuhyun clicked his tongue in annoyance. He really ran out of ideas now.

"Ouch! Who moves this table!? It wasn't here before!"

A lightbulb appeared above his head when he heard one cafe employee's complaint.

"Draw my bedroom! That's my commission!"

"But I just drew it yesterday? Remember? I even stayed a night there."

"I just move some furniture so it's not the same view now. I want a new drawing of my new room."

"Alright…? If you say so...?"

Jongwoon agreed even though he still didn't understand how Kyuhyun did that in just a night. He followed the young master out of the cafe and got in the luxurious car waiting for them. Knowing that it took a while to reach the Cho mansion, Jongwoon leaned on Kyuhyun's shoulder and took a short nap. Because he was fast asleep, the black-haired man didn't hear what Kyuhyun said to his bodyguards with a deadly serious expression.

"Call our staff at the mansion and have them renovate my room. I don't care how, just make it as different from the current one as possible and,"

Kyuhyun turned to the driver,

"be sure to use the route that has the worst traffic and drive with the utmost care."

With all orders given, Kyuhyun intertwined his and Jongwoon's hand together. Bringing their joined hands to his lips, he kissed the back of the adorable small hand and smiled softly when the black-haired man giggled in his sleep from feeling ticklish.

.

.

.

.

"Wow," Jongwoon was speechless, "you really renovate your room in just a night? I guess this is what a billionaire does, huh?"

Jongwoon said as he looked around the spacious room that was more like a hotel suite than a single bedroom. He was born with an insanely good memory so he remembered that no single furniture stayed at the same place he saw yesterday.

"By the way, when will you put me back on my feet?"

Jongwoon asked and glanced up at Kyuhyun who was carrying him in a bridal style. Apparently, he fell asleep on the way and Kyuhyun, being a gentleman he was, carried him all the way to his bedroom because he didn't want to wake up Jongwoon.

"Why? Did it make you feel uncomfortable?"

"Hmm… Nope!" Jongwoon replied lively and leaned on Kyuhyun's chest, "but I can't draw in this pose, right?"

"How about this pose?"

Kyuhyun headed to the study section of his suite and sat down on a blue velvet office chair. He positioned Jongwoon so that the black-haired man sat on his lap leaning on Kyuhyun's chest.

"I get to hug you and you get to work on your drawing too, a win-win situation, don't you think?"

Jongwoon shrugged. He couldn't care less about the pose as long as he got his drawing done. In fact, he had already  gotten used to sitting on Kyuhyun's lap while drawing. The young master of the Cho family really loved hugging him for some reason. He also liked having Kyuhyun's arms around his waist so he never complained. He took his drawing equipment out and began to work while Kyuhyun hugged his waist tightly. He focused on the rough draft and vaguely registered the rich heir nuzzling his nose against his neck. He added more details to the drawing and hummed softly when his nape felt like it got bitten but he probably imagined it. As he was applying shadow to the drawing, he felt like a warm hand creeping under his shirt and rubbing his tummy but he paid it no heed. He was on the stage where he couldn't be distracted now. That was why he didn't even budge when something soft and warm landed on his shoulders and it all over, too busy refining the drawing to his liking.

"And... finished! Kyuhyun, did you like it?"

"Goddamn it Jongwoon… You're borderline driving me crazy with your naivety…"

"Huh? What do you mean?"

Jongwoon asked and craned his neck backward to glance up at Kyuhyun. He blinked cluelessly when crimson color slowly painted his client's face into a manifestation of tomato farm. For some reason, the young master's heartbeat skyrocketed to the point that he could feel it through his back.

"I-I need to make some urgent call, now!"

Kyuhyun said and pushed Jongwoon off his lap. The caramel brown-haired man then dashed out of the room while the black-haired man stared after him in puzzlement.

"I wonder if the weather messes with his head? Oh well, it's none of my business. Might as well add some finishing touches to the drawing."

Jongwoon shrugged and sat down on the comfortable plush chair. As he continued to work on the drawing, he couldn't help but think of Kyuhyun's flustered expression just now. His client looked really handsome up close: intense dark brown eyes, pointed nose, healthy rosy cheeks, full and pale pink lips, and the way he stared at him…

Jongwoon's heartbeat suddenly increased for no reason and his cheeks also felt weirdly hot.

"Strange… Did the weather mess with my head too…?"

Jongwoon murmured while touching his burning cheeks. If he had a mirror, he would see that apart from his reddening cheeks, his neck and shoulders were also red with bite marks and hickeys.

**********************************

"How can Jongwoon be both innocent and damn y at the same time! That's unfair to my heart!"

Kyuhyun shouted at nothing in particular while banging his head on a wall. Just now, he almost snapped and did something he no doubt would regret, something like pushing Jongwoon on the wooden table and wrecking him until he learned to stop testing Kyuhyun's limit. Kyuhyun sighed. He had been trying to (not-so-subtly) imply his infatuation to the talented artist for a whole three months already. Sadly, Jongwoon who was incredibly dense didn't get it at all while Kyuhyun was so ually frustrated that he was only a step away from telling the man with their bodies. While he was mourning his miserable love life, someone messaged him. He took his phone out and frowned when he saw 'Kim Heechul' on the screen. Then, hope flared up in his eyes upon reading the message.

I'm getting tired of your going-nowhere chasing game so I'm gonna help you. Hint: Jongwoon only understands the language of art.

p.s. no need to thanks me. Just continue to donate to our faculty.

Kim Heechul

Kyuhyun put away his phone and ran back to his room.

*************************************

"Welcome back Kyuhyun! I made some changes to the drawing. Tell me if you don't like—"

"I want to commission you again."

Jongwoon blinked cluelessly but nodded anyway.

"Alright, what do you want me to draw this time?"

Kyuhyun smirked.

"Our future."

Jongwoon snapped his neck up so fast that he almost broke it. His eyes were wide and shocked.

"A what!?"

"Our future, together, you and me."

Now it was Jongwoon's turn to blush madly. His brain stopped functioning and he could only gasp dumbly while Kyuhyun slowly approached him.

"Make our dream first date as the first draft. Then add more details like the shape and style of our engagement ring on your left ring finger. Don't forget to apply shadow on your cheeks to represent your flustered expression when you agree to marry me. As for the finishing touches, maybe make my eyes sparkle so people who look at this drawing know how happy I'm to finally have you by my side."

Kyuhyun stood in front of Jongwoon. His hands then were placed on the armrests to prevent the artist from escaping. The black-haired man gripped the drawing board tightly as he meekly met his client's burning gaze.

"K-Kyuhyun, did you just do what I think you're doing…?"

"Yes, I'm saying that I want to be your patron for the rest of our lives."

Blushing impossibly redder, Jongwoon hid his face behind the drawing board in embarrassment. After a while, he slowly peeked from behind it but showed only his dark eyes to the man towering him.

"...I don't mind having you as my lifetime patron but…"

"But…?"

"But the payment for that commission to draw our future is gonna be super expensive. Can you pay for it?"

"There's nothing I can't pay for. Tell me, how much is the commission fee?"

"...Your heart."

"I'm sorry," Kyuhyun blinked stupidly, "a what?"

"Your heart," Jongwoon spoke louder but still refused to meet Kyuhyun's eyes, "I want my patron to be faithful to me. Can you do that?"

Rather than answering, Kyuhyun swooped the smaller man in his arms and spun around while laughing happily.

"Of course I can!" Kyuhyun replied in great enthusiasm.

"Be careful Kyuhyun! I still hold the drawing board now! What if I accidentally hit you!?"

"I don't ing care! I'm so happy now that I don't mind a few bruises!"

Luckily, no bruises happened during the hug and Kyuhyun put Jongwoon back on his feet after getting too dizzy. He took the wooden board away from the small hands and placed it on the study table. With no obstacle in his way, Kyuhyun closed the gap between their lips and indulged in the sensation that he had been dreaming of. He cradled his (now) boyfriend's nape in one hand and caressed his chubby cheek with the other. Hearing the artist's quiet moan made him throw the 'keeping it short and sweet' out of the window. He and nibbled the soft lips using more force. When Jongwoon accidentally gasped, he pushed his tongue in and teased the man until those hands clutching on his shirt shook unstoppably. When Jongwoon hit his back and begged nonverbally for a breath, he only allowed two or three seconds before diving back to kissing again. The semi lack of oxygen and the pleasure he received messed Jongwoon's head so badly that his world spun crazily. The black-haired man held onto the rich heir with his dear life as if he was on the verge of drowning and Kyuhyun was a sole drifting plank among the vast ocean. By the time Kyuhyun broke the kiss, Jongwoon's strength was completely drained so he had to lean all of his weight on the taller man.

"Jongwoon," Kyuhyun purred huskily by the artist's ear, "I want to commission you one more time."

"H-Huh? Now of a-all time? But, well, I-I guess it's alright, what is it?"

Kyuhyun smirked. His dark brown eyes shone brightly with mischief.

"A full portrait."

"A… … full portrait…?"

It took Jongwoon a solid five minutes to understand what Kyuhyun wanted. But when he did, his whole face became so red that it put boiled shrimp to shame.

"I take the silence as a yes then. Let's go."

"W-Wait! I haven't said anything yet!"

Too late. Kyuhyun already carried him up on his shoulder and headed straight to the bedroom section. Jongwoon tried to struggle out of embarrassment but he was punished by a hard squeez at his bottom that became harder and longer the more he struggled.

"If the portrait isn't to my liking then you'll be punished, got it?"

"Y-Yes. I'll do my best."

Lying on the king-sized bed, Jongwoon shakily replied and resigned secretly gladly to his fate after a warm hand groping its way under his shirt to his bare chest. He moaned softly when Kyuhyun leaned in to kiss him again. While he clumsily reciprocated the heated kiss, Jongwoon couldn't help but wonder how could he get the portrait done when he was so blissfully distracted like this.

It was only when the morning came that Jongwoon got his answer that yes, indeed no portrait was done that night.

i really enjoyed how light-hearted and funny it was, with the painfully-oblivious!jongwoon (the scene where he notes how different the bedroom looks, only to naïvely remember afterwards that he was still being carried bridal-style was my favourite lmao). and i also really loved the ending!! very sweet and y too !!

thank you for writing !! really look forward to reading more of your work!!! <3 <3
