Espresso ShotsMinjoo isn't wearing her promise ring for some reason. It's been a few days since Hitomi noticed the lack of the silver-colored metal around her girlfriend's ring finger, but Hitomi hasn't gathered the courage to confront her about it.
But eventually, Hitomi can't help it. She saw how friendly Minjoo was being to Sakura and she just can't contain her curiosity anymore.
Is Minjoo... Bored?
"Minjoo?"
There's only a hum coming from the girl sitting at the shotgun seat, not even sparing a glance her way and just continuing to read her draft without any care. Actually, Hitomi can easily tell that Minjoo hasn't been reading a single sentence, because she's been stuck on a page filled with no more than two paragraphs throughout their 30-minute ride.
Hitomi inhales sharply, her gaze once again flickering to the ringless finger Minjoo seemingly flaunts at her. She would be lying if she said that her ringless finger isn't distracting her from driving.
"...can you tell me why you're not wearing our promise ring I gave you?"
Minjoo seems to freeze. Her face suddenly turns rigid, as if not wanting to show what she's currently feeling. She sets her draft away before she turns at Hitomi. "Oh," she says, almost as nonchalantly as possible, "I want to replace it."
