I know I should've seen this coming but, I wasn't expecting it to happen so soon.

Heejin got her first boyfriend.

The minute I saw the guy I knew it wasn't going to end well because I know Heejin I know what she's like, what she needs, and what she wants. I know her better than anyone else (okay maybe excluding her parents but even then that's still a maybe).

Heejin is beautiful, kind, talented, passionate, and many other amazing things. That's why I should've known she'd attract the guys at our school. I'd watched her have to politely reject a seemingly neverending line of suitors that I had thought she had no interest in dating.

Which is the reason why I was surprised to see her beaming a million-watt smile at some guy I'd seen on our schools soccer team. I walked up to them to help Heejin notice that I was there already and she decided to introduce me. His name was Hansol, Heejin explained to me that they have French class together and she was helping him with his studies. She introduced me as Hyunjin her best friend and Im not gonna lie I think my heart physically clenched in my chest then but I hid my pain with what I hope was a polite smile. We then bid our goodbyes and Heejin and I made our way home.

On our walk to the bus stop we talked about our day and the stresses of high school when she decided to steer the topic towards Hansol.

"So, what do you think about Hansol?"

"Huh, what do you mean?" I know exactly what she means we've been through this before I didn't think this time would be any different

"You know, is he best friend approved?" There goes my heart again

"I'm not entirely sure yet I'll probably have to talk to him again to be certain." Kim Hyunjin why do you have to torture yourself like this?

"Fine then let me tell you what I think about him." Heart get ready

"He's the captain of the soccer team so he's athletic (I'm athletic too) and he's also really intelligent and charming and kind and he has such a nice smile." She looks like she's in a daze jeez how great can this guy be anyway

"Ok I get your point." 

"Does my opinion really matter to you?"

"Of course it does you're my friend."  Yeah I'm her friend and what kind of friend would I be if I just didn't approve for no obvious reason

*sigh* "Then by the power invested in me I, Kim Hyunjin, approve of your choice in Hansol."  Here we go again

I am then tackled into what Heejin likes to call a 'hug'. Her 'hug' is more like a smackdown you'd see in WWE she literally drops us both down on the ground with the force and intensity of her 'hug'.    [A/n: This is literally how my friend greets me everyday, you do not want to get caught in one of these.]     I guess I should be happy still because she says that 'hug
