Kang Seulgi was known in her school for being the captain of the soccer team and an amazing dancer and artis and Bae Joohyun or Irene known as the gorgeous nerd from the literature club and acting club. Seulgi was new, she changed schools recently but she was well accepted for being that talented.

Everyone was aware of the soulmate thing in their world that when they felt the first strange pain in their body, they would be careful to not get hurt while trying to find their soulmate. Seulgi was studying in that school for 3 years already, this was the last year and she was seeing all their friends finding their soulmates specially Moonbyul that never shuts up about hers.

“Yongsun is perfect look at her” Moonbyul said while elbowing Seulgi that was drinking her milkshake and almost spilled it due the elbow of the other girl

“Byul I almost spilled my milkshake”

“You know you shouldn’t be drinking that if coach sees you, you’ll run 30 laps or more”

“I don’t care much, my belly will be happily fed” Seulgi answered with a smile

“YO” Amber yelled while sitting down in front of them startling Seulgi that once again almost spilled her milkshake 

“I ALMOST SPILLED MY MILKSHAKE” Seulgi yelled angrily 

“What?” Amber asked confused but then shrugged

“Drink that milkshake of yours so you don’t spill it anymore” Moonbyul said while glaring at her friend

“If you two let me drink it” 

“Go ahead I’ll start talking” Amber said happily “So, I think I found my soulmate” Seulgi wasn’t even hearing distracted with her milkshake

“Oh, really and who is it?” Moonbyul asked now interested

“I think it’s Krystal Jung” Moonbyul started laughing and clowning Amber and Seulgi just kept distracted with her milkshake 

“Why are you laughing?”

“Krystal is a goddess” 

“And so is Solar and yet she is your damn soulmate” 

“Are you saying that Solar is too pretty for me?” Moonbyul was getting mad

“Yes” Amber laughed

“You ing ” Moonbyul started kicking Amber that started dodging it and guess what Seulgi was unaware of it while drinking her milkshake like a happy kid

“KANG” Someone yelled finally catching her attention, it was Amber

“What?” 

“Help me”

“You started”

“You weren’t even paying attention”

“Whatever” Seulgi put her attention back to her milkshake and later the rest of the female team was sitting with the other three and being loud and messy as always 

“JOY IS BACK” Joy yelled while pushing some people to sit next to Seulgi “Missed me?”

“No” Everyone answered loudly

“I am hungry” Seulgi mumbled

“AGAIN?” Moonbyul yelled

“Hum yeah, I’ll buy some pringles” Seulgi said while getting up

The monolid girl was distracted walking to the vending machine when she saw a cheerleader walking against a girl that was literally thrown again Seulgi because of the impact

“HEY” Seulgi yelled while holding the girl that shocked with her shoulders “Apologize”

“Why should I? We don’t see nerds in this hallway” The cheerleader asked

“Then you need some glasses apologize”

“There’s no need” The girl answered “Thanks for catching me”

“it wasn’t a catch but I prevented you from falling”

“You understood” The girl giggled and then bowed “Thanks again” Seulgi finally paid attention to the girl

“Oh, you’re Bae Joohyun right?” The girl nodded “I like your writing a lot”

“Thank you” The girl smiled while hiding her hands with her hoodie

“You don’t need to thank me. Don’t let the cheerleaders get to you”

“I usually argue with them” She answered “Today you did it for me” Seulgi giggled

“I’m sorry I should have let you talk”

“There’s no need but thanks anyways, I need to go now” Seulgi nodded and waved to the girl

“My pringles right” Seulgi walked towards the vending machine and was ready to put the number of the pringles when she heard her coach

“KANG SEULGI! I hope you are buying something healthy” The girl gulped and had to select a bottle of water

“Just buying water coach” He nodded approvingly and left “ my pringles… Guess that no pringles today”

The girl decided to walk to where her friend’s were and sit there drinking her water, they because of what happened with their coach. Then they had to part ways to go to their respective classes, Moonbyul and Seulgi have the same classes so they went together. Seulgi told her about what the cheerleaders did to Moonbyul and the girl just rolled her eyes and insulted them. The classes ended and the two players headed to their soccer train.

Meanwhile Bae Joohyun was with her best friends Wendy and Yeri. Wendy and Joohyun were writing a script for the acting club while Yeri was busy writing the lyrics of a song she wanted to make. Irene and Wendy were doing small talks and adding some things they agreed to put on the script.

“It’s turning out well I guess” Wendy said while staring at what her best friend was doing

“Yes, I think so too” Irene agreed and decided to rest a bit her wrist 

“Can you two help me?” Yeri sked and the two nodded “I am stuck here”

“Is this about Saeron?” Yeri nodded with a smile

“Whipped” Wendy mumbled and received a slap on the arm

“Do you want me to mention how you and Joy are?”

“Shut up” Wendy said and it was her turn now to slap Yeri

“Let me see it” Irene said while grabbing the paper, she started reading it and had already some ideas and asked the other two about it that agreed. The next thing Irene knew she was flinching and feeling a pain on her shin, she hissed and held it

“Rene… is that what I am thinking?” Wendy asked excited when the girl started caressing her shin

“I-I don’t know” 

“Aren’t you excited?” Yeri asked while clapping

“I don’t know either” The girl kept caressing her shin because the pain won’t stop

“It’s not stopping”

“Did your soulmate break a leg?”

“I don’t know”

“Did you touch someone today?”

“Well I could have touched someone long time ago and they just got hurt now” 

“Rene that’s impossible, I hurt my toe every single night, I’m glad me and Saeron already kissed or else my poor baby would be suffering with my pain”

“That’s because you are a bit dumb” Wendy teased

“Shut” Yeri slapped her arm

“So, who did you touch today out of normal?” Wendy asked again

“I bumped with a few people… I hope it’s not the cheerleader that pushed me”

“Those es again”

“Don’t worry Seulgi scolded them”

“Seulgi? As in the soccer team captain?” Irene nodded “Did you two touch?”

“That I noticed she just touched me on my shoulders and i was with this hoodie it was not directly on my skin”

“Hm then it’s not her but strange…” Wendy mumbled to herself

Irene kept that time holding her shin her soulmate got hurt seriously. It was 50% of the pain but it feels like 100% she is imagining how her soulmate must be feeling. She went home limping and she felt that the pain subsided later when it was time to sleep, but it was still there it weakened but Irene still felt it and her ankle started hurting a bit after dinner.

“I hope they aren’t suffering much” Irene mumbled to herself

The next day Irene woke up and her leg was hurting a little bit, she sighed and got ready for school. Her mom drove her to school and she saw Wendy with Joy and Yeri with Saeron waiting for her.

“So Rene, how is your leg?”

“Leg? You got hurt?” Joy asked

“No her soulmate got hurt and she is in pain”

“OH!” Joy yelled “You need help?”

“Now it hurts my shin and ankle but I am fine, thanks Joy" 

“Strange Seulgi got hurt yeasterda-” Wendy elbowed Joy and told her to shut up

“Hm?” Irene asked

“Oh nothing” Joy said with a smile while Yeri stared at her friends attentively 

“Let’s go?” Wendy asked and they saw Moonbyul helping Seulgi out of her car that was crutches 

“Seulgi got hurt?” Yeri asked with a smirk, Irene that was distracted stared at where Yeri was staring and frowned ‘It’s impossible she didn’t touch my skin’ the girl thought, it’s just a coincidence 

“Yeah I kinda… got nervous and hurt her” Joy said

“IT WAS YOU?” Wendy yelled “Park Sooyoung” Joy just laughed nervously

“Hello ankle assassin” Seulgi said “And hello everyone”

“Hi Seulgi, does it hurt a lot?” Yeri asked with a pout, she likes the older girl a lot

“A bit, I’m glad it’s not that serious if I use this till Saturday” Seulgi said while raising her crutches, the girls nodded and Irene was the silent one “Oh! Hello Bae Joohyun” Seulgi said with a smile

“Hello Kang Seulgi” The two eyed each other playfully 

“You know her?” Moonbyul mumbled to Seulgi but everyone heard

“Everyone knows her, the gorgeous girl” Seulgi complimented

“N-Not like that”

“Oh! No we just talked yesterday” Irene answered

“Yeah for like 2 minutes” Seulg completed and Irene nodded

“Oh!” Moonbyul said while Wendy was eyeing them. Joy grabbed her phone and texted Wendy

They are soulmates right?
Look at them being all… cute and they never talked

[Wendy]
Irene said Seulgi didn’t touch her skin but it could have been something so quick and soft that they didn’t notice

[Joy]
I have an idea

[Wendy]
Oh no what are you going to do?

 

“So, our game is on Saturday why don’t you all come? Including you Irene” Joy said “I believe you never saw a game”

“No, I didn’t, but sure I will come” Irene smiled and Seulgi swears she lost he balance even with crutches helping her

“Oh amazing, Moonbyul invite Solar” Joy said

“I’m sure that if Irene is going, she is going too” Irene nodded and smiled

“Let’s go to classes before we get kicked out once we step inside the classroom” Wendy warned

“Bye girls” Wendy pecked Joy’s lips and left with Irene, Seulgi noticed the girl limping and frowned

“Joy do you perhaps know why Joohyun is limping?”

“HUM!” Joy gulped and Yeri interrupted

“Hyun was cleaning her room yesterday and she got hurt”

“Oh! I hope she gets better soon” Yeri smirked

“Worry about your leg who knows if she doesn’t get better too”

“Uh?” Seulgi asked and Moonbyul stared at Yeri, Saeron was just shaking her head negatively 

“Nothing, let’s go” Moonbyul said while pushing Seulgi softly

“Have a nice day girls”

The rest of the week passed pretty fast. Seulgi got better and Irene didn’t feel anymore she was relieved. It was already Saturday and she would have forgotten about the game if her friends didn’t shut up about it the whole week and that now they are yelling on the girl’s phone about the game.

They met at the schools door and Wendy started dragging Irene because she wanted to see Joy training a bit before playing. Yeri, Saeron, Wendy and Irene just sat and watched the girl’s training a bit. Joy started waving at the girls that waved back. Later Solar arrived and Irene and her started a chat the two uninterested on the girl’s playing.

“We need to make Irene watch the game attentively” Yeri mumbled to Wendy
