V. Talks of the Past
You are the Reason [Semi-Hiatus]Third Person's POV
"This is really boring," Jeongyeon grunted while watching their men training at their main underground lair. Jeongyeon, Momo and him decided to monitor their men's fighting skills that day together with the Seven Sins.
The lair was composed of two upper floors and one underground floor. The weaponry, technology room and databasement were all at the lowest floor. On the other hand, the cafeteria, gym, bedrooms, leisure room and bathrooms, library, game room, karaoke room and dancing room were located at the ground floor.
Lastly, at the highest floor is where the offices of the leaders were located. The Dukes and the Seven Sins have their own rooms while the leaders of the lower groups share one room as their office.
At the fighting pit, there was a higher platform where the leaders can watch through a glass wall. Truthfully speaking, Tzuyu was the only one who is seriously observing their men. Jeongyeon is enjoying himself playing Mobile Legends at his phone while Momo was busy doing some work-related documents which Leeteuk gave him.
"You can't expect too much from them. They are part of the Geeks after all," Momo replied, still typing at his laptop.
"You guys chose a wrong day to visit if you want some action," Jinyoung said making Tzuyu chckle at him.
"I guess you're right..."
Just then the sliding metal door opened revealing Wonpil. He bowed at the three before entering the room.
"Dukes, the emperor is at your office. He said that he wanted to talk to all of you about something privately"
"Sure. Tell him we'll be there soon. I'm just finishing the files he gave me," Momo answered him. The latter just bowed at him before leaving the room. The sound of Momo's keyboard continued before Jeongyeon speaks again.
"He's calling us again. What do you think it is this time?" he asked as he strech his arms.
"Quite not sure. I hope it's not like the last time," Tzuyu said before standing up.
He remained silent on the way to their office. Jeongyeon and Tzuyu shared a knowing look with each other. They know that something is bothering their leader's mind.
When Momo opened the door, a sitting Leeteuk greeted them with his right hand holding a bottle of brandy. As usual, he is sitting at Momo's desk while smiling at the three. There is a small ice bucket above his desk with four glasses that already have some ice cubes inside.
"You called for us, uncle?" Momo asked before sitting at the sofa in front of this desk. Jeongyeon settled himself at the sofa on the right while Tzuyu sat down at the sofa on the right.
"Yes. But first, let's share a drink first, shall we?" Leeteuk replied as he starts to pour some drink to the glasses. The three stood up to get their drinks before sitting down once again.
"About what happened that day, I think I owe you guys some apology," the elder started, catching the three's attention immediately.
"That's okay old man. But you could've told us first so we could at least prepare ourselves before facing them," Jeongyeon jokingly said making the emperor chuckle at him.
"I'm more curious on how did they manage to make you lie just to meet us? You know that the three of us are not in good terms with them. So, what did they do?" Tzuyu frankly asked. Leeteuk can just grin before sipping his drink.
"They transferred 1 billion in my account and sent 25 trucks full of advance weapons exported from Russia. Afar from that, it is the first time that my sister asked a favor wholeheartedly..."
Coincidentally, Leeteuk is also not in a good relationship with Chorong. They were not even informed that she has a brother not until they crossed paths with Leeteuk. And the elder admitted that, although he didn't exactly tell them the reason.
"I didn't know they would go that far just to talk with us," Momo replied before leaning his head at the sofa's backrest.
"But I guess it didn't end well. According from what I heard you and Bomi had a heated argument..."
After his statement, the room fell into a deep silence. Leeteuk looked at them, a little worried about how quiet the guys were.
"You know, Ryeowook didn't tell me the reason why did you three undergo such depressing phase. But after you went through it, you guys became so strong and fearless. Hundreds or even thousands were killed in front of you but neither of you showed shock or even disgust," he admitted making the three look each other.
'So he's still clueless about what happened to us?' Tzuyu thought as he played with the liquor inside his glass.
"You know that I already treat you guys as my sons. Don't lie to me, I know you were all affected with what happened. So tell me, what did really happen between you and them that made you guys so resentful?" he asked making the three sigh at the same time.
They knew it, that someday they would have to tell Leeteuk about what happened. As much as they don't want to go back to the darkest memories of their lives, they consider themselves in debt of the emperor. If not for him, they could've lost their will to leave.
Tzuyu noticed how the two are con
